The Eldridge news is known, but interesting to see Matos sent down and Wisely DFAed. Not super surprising (Matos has been struggling over the last couple of weeks, and is a liability in the field) and looks like it'll open up some more PAs for Gilbert in RF. Wisely probably will probably get through waivers and stay in the system, but if not, good luck to the former Savannah Banana!

I kinda thought you were joking about Wisely playing for the Savannah Bananas, so I looked it up and that’s an amazing origin story. We need more Giants to come up through the Banana farm system. I like Wisely. I hope he sticks around.
