Let me ask you this. What was handcuffing Mitch Marner before the trade from being the NHL points leader? Is that a problem that persists in Vegas?

I don’t understand why Marner stock is supposed to shoot through the roof. He was playing with amazing linemates already in TO. He was first unit on the PP. He led their forwards in ice time. He’s primarily a playmaker and he had one of the best snipers in the world to pass to.
Now he’s going to Vegas where not all of that is guaranteed. And instead of an elite sniper he gets to play with another great playmaker. I just don’t get it.
