Top MLB Plays of 9/15/25 (Austin Martin’s tough catch, Jose Altuve’s slick double play and more!)

left-handed hitting shortstop. Swings to the first pitch and a fly ball towards the gap in right center field. Charging to his left, lunging and squeezing Michael Harris had a long way to go, but a good read on it. Good play out in center field. We had a ground ball to third. D Young has it. He’ll throw it to second for one. Garcia to first to get a jogging akuna for a double play. What a perfect first throw by Paul D. Young right there at the chest. Ground ball. Oh, nice play there by York. And on the first and a slick pick by Horowitz. Tapper in front of the blade. Baldwin has it. Steps on the plate, fires to first. Double play. A two3 double play. Unconventional, but it works all the same for an inning. Ending double play. Deep third long throw. Triolo. Man, what a play by Jared Triolo robbing Carson Kelly. You’re not going to make a longer throw on an infield than this right here. That’s what you want to do if you’re on that left side of the infield. You get in the six hole pitch and it’s a ground ball. Should be two. Altuve has it. Pauls down. shuffles it to second out over the first out. They get the force at second and they turn the double play. Altuve down to the ground. Lift it over to Pena from his stomach and Pñena turns two. Grounded down to third. Diving stop by Barger and he throws him out. What a great play by Addison Barger. Absolutely terrific. I mean that’s a classic third baseman’s play. Dives to his left, pops to his feet. Ground ball. Great stop by Jimenez. Throw to first. Got him. What a play by Jimenez. I mean, that’s terrific. He was on the outfield grass. He got to it. He knocked it down and got to his feet. Who said he can’t play shorts stop? This one in to short left and a diving catch out there by Simpson. This throws back to second, but the runner back in. How about it? Off the back. Looked like trouble to left down the line of the corner. Austin Martin over and Martin tumbling into the stands and made the play. Austin Martin caught that ball. Yes, he did. Boy, taking a page out of the Jeter playbook right there. Austin Martin, have a night, have a season. Grounded to first and off the glove. Sosa still might be a play. My draw on. Yes, he did it. The deflection and my draw. The youngster stays with it. Nice heads up play by Maid. Ranger gets to that one, throws on the run. What a play. The sacrifice is successful, but that is a remarkable play by Ranger Suarez. I mean, you just do not get a better play than this. Thomas hits a sharp shot to third, plays long throw. What a play. Nice. Boy, has he got a gun or what? Good to see him show it off once in a while. Most of the time if it’s an easy out at first, Blaze will just flip it over their sidearm, but had to go to his right. Now Eldrich swings. That is a deep fly ball center field. Barrosa’s going back and he will make the catch before colliding into the wall. And Barrosa, who is credited with being such a terrific defensive center fielder in the minors, makes a great play here in the majors. Boy, really robbed him of his first hit.

  1. Hey, how about you guys stop overlapping the voiceovers from a play onto the video of the next play? It's really, really annoying and frustrating to watch. Just cut some of the announcer dialogue or slow down your replays – making this video 4.5 minutes instead of 3.5 minutes isn't going to kill anyone…
