Kirk Cousins TRADE to Bengals unlikely đź’°
No one wants to take on that Kirk Cousins contract. Um, you know, you’d be paying trading for Kirk to be a very expensive backup quarterback in Cincinnati. You know, you’d have to negotiate with the Falcons how much of the 37.5 million that is left on Kirk Cousins contract. 27 of that uh 27 and a half of that is due in 2025 and an additional 10 million uh is due uh in 2026. Um and you have to negotiate with the Falcons how much are you willing to take on? We’ve seen the fur the previous reports that have been refuted by Terry Fontine about you know the Falcons want teams to take on at least $20 million all that stuff. won’t get into that, but let’s just say hypothetically, you know, $37.5 million, the Bengals and Falcons say we’ll split it evenly, right? You know, that’s about 18 over $18 million, almost $19 million uh that the Bengals would be taking on uh in terms of cap space, which would basically make Kirk, even at that price tag, like more expensive than Trevor Lawrence in terms of his cap hit this
Why it’s unlikely that the Atlanta Falcons will find a trade partner in the Cincinnati Bengals for Kirk Cousins.

Well I would sure hope Cincinnati wouldn’t just punt their season away because of this injury especially with Trey Hendrickson almost certainly leaving after this season. Atlanta won’t just dump the contact for a late round pick swap if it means not having a backup QB worth a damn.
Bengals can’t afford him unless they send us Trey Henderson and they pay some of the salary
Yeah, I never thought the bengals would be an option but I could definitely see Minnesota giving us a call. Could see the raiders making a call with the way geno has been playing. lol I’d say Minnesota would be the most likely but I don’t think we trade him. At this point they’d have to make it worth it or I’d prefer just to keep him on the roster.
We can keep him because things happen and he will be the next up!đź’Ż
I see no reason to trade Kirk, we have the best back up in the league that shouldn’t be taken for granted
This is a pipe dream….The Bengals have stated multiple times that they are comfortable with Browning as their QB until Burrow is healthy, and the kid went 4-3 as the starter back in 23 when Burrow was injured.
