Kyle Schwarber, Harrison Bader, Phillies celebrate clinching NL East title
Does it taste even better when you do something like this? Wow. Yeah. Uh everything’s awesome right now. I mean, done so much throughout the year to get to this point and you know, you want to enjoy it. It It doesn’t happen uh often and uh when it does happen, you want to celebrate it and this is a goal that we accomplished. We set that from beginning of the uh well, we said it from the beginning of spring training that you know, this is where we wanted to be and we got here and now we got to keep going. give me an idea of what it was like because you were in the dugout at the end. What it was like in the dugout and how tense this kind of game was. Yeah, I mean that was a playoff style baseball game right there where you know it’s back and forth and uh you get into the late innings uh you know we do we did such a great job there in the 10th inning where Oh yeah. Oh, we just you know such a great job. I mean I you know I didn’t get the job done there. I’m trying to get the runner over and uh you know we took Harp they do a double steal executed perfectly. JT gets the job done and uh you know Dro came in and shut it down from there and he did such a great job but was a great overall baseball game and you know we should be proud of where we’re at right now. I know you said yesterday you wanted to do it at home but this is still a great gift for the city of Philadelphia too, isn’t it? Yeah. I mean it’s what a wow what a what a great what a great time to be a Philadelphia sports fan. Um, you know, I feel like we’re just uh getting going here. You know, we want to we want to finish this thing off, but it’s a step at a time for us. You know, we got a lot of other things to do. We got more baseball to play. You know, we got to lock down a buy, but um you know, we just got to keep going day by day and whenever that step comes to the playoffs that, uh, you know, we’re going to be ready for that and we just got to keep going and can’t wait to get back at the bank and get those crazy animals going. Hey, listen. I I got to ask uh the emotion after the home run. You’re still a kid at heart. What’s it like to do that in a game like this? Yeah, I mean it’s a big game. Obviously, we want to do this on a win, you know? I mean, we could have done it the other day on a loss, and I I’ll take it any way we can, but being able to do it on a win is huge. And that’s a really good team over there. Uh you know, hard fought game. You know, they punched, we punched, they punched, we punched. Um but to be able to, you know, hit a homer in a big situation, big spot, you know, put us ahead. Uh just a lot of fun. And I I have to say that when the ball went to you at the end, you weren’t going to give up that baseball at the end. You weren’t going to take any chances. You’re going to go right to the bag. Yeah. No, I I wanted to step on first base and and keep it in my glove. I don’t need a toss or anything like that. So, um I gave the ball to John. You know, I think uh you know, he deserves it. Um but great team win today and you know, obviously we got you know, a long ways to go. Uh but we want to, you know, end the year on a good note, get that one or two seed and, you know, be able to uh do this three more times. And people always ask, is it important to win the division? It is important to always win a division if you can, right? It’s huge. I mean, that’s that’s what you that’s what you do. You know, every time you get into spring training every year, you want to be able to win the division first and then go from there and, you know, win the first round, second round, and third round, and um you know, win that World Series, dude. Go enjoy it. Thanks. Appreciate it, Bryson. Obviously, this is kind of old hat, but it’s always cool to see. Give me an idea of what that was that feeling was like when Bryce made that last out. Yeah. Um I mean, it’s it’s a long season and um yeah, it’s just it it doesn’t get old for sure. That popup we were just talking about. Did your heart sort of drop a little bit when you went back and tried to pick that one off the air? Uh not drop, maybe stop, but uh not dropped. Uh give me an idea of what celebrating is like, what this is like from a baseball player standpoint just to have this kind of celebration. Yeah. Uh I mean you go to spring training and you look at the schedule and um just game after game. So it’s uh it’s a long year and and anytime you get a get into the postseason, it’s it’s an amazing feeling and uh winning the division is is great and and we know there’s more work to do and um this group of guys is is amazing and um been together for a little bit now. So, um, we know how to celebrate with each other and and and who gets it going. So, I will say this. I thought it was cool that Rob pointed out guys that were left behind. Jos Alvarado, Trey Turner, uh, Romano, I know Alec Bowman is here, but you guys have had so many contributions this year from everybody. Yeah. Um, wheels, too. Um just having those guys go down and um obviously you lose an ace and uh there’s one Zach Wheeler in the world. So um just everyone pick it up a little bit and then Trey goes down and and Mano goes down and and boom and um just people coming up and and picking up where they left off if they got sent down or um Weston’s having good at bats and um just one through nine and um just take it one pitch at a time. All right, that funnel was pretty funny, too. Bryson Scott, guys, this is never gets old. You’ve done this before in your career. What is it like, though? What’s the feeling like to have this celebration? Yeah, it’s amazing. I mean, that’s what you work for. You know what I’m saying? Um, it never gets old. Um, you know, you just you just work so hard like every single at bat, every single day, and you don’t really think about what’s next. But, you know, to to kind of cross off step one, I think is just uh, you know, it’s just a great feeling. So, there’s a lot more work. Um, but it it’s nice to uh just celebrate the small victories. So, on to the next one. I I know you can always envision things. Could you have ever envisioned contributing like this? Oh my goodness. Could you ever envisioned having this much of an impact so fast? Yeah, absolutely. It’s what I dream about, honestly. It’s what I try to visualize every single day and just take it one step at a time. And I just I’m just thankful for the opportunity, honestly. That’s really all there is to it. I think uh just getting just getting an opportunity is really what it’s all about and just doing your best to run with it as far as you can. So, I’m just excited to do it, you know, for an amazing franchise and just just keep winning games, man. That’s all there is to it. But I’m I’m thrilled every single second here on out. It’s just it’s unbelievable. So, I can’t believe I’m I’m just I’m just excited. Yeah. It’s all there’s to it. Listen, dude. Thanks for joining us. We appreciate it. All right. So, he’s been on the field when these things have happened before. Was it nerve-wracking in the dugout, Aaron, when this was happening tonight? Was it nerve-wracking? Yeah. Uh, I mean, Dodgers put up a fight there, man. They they came back. We know it wasn’t going to be easy with those guys. Uh, it was a great game, man. It was a great game. Ranger pitched really good. Uh, really kept us in the game there. And, uh, you know, guys had some timely hits and big home runs there, too. So, uh, you know, Bing came in, closed it out, and Drock made some big pitches right there. It’s always always tough with the with the runner on second to start off with. So, uh, got to get this one again. You’re the longest tenur Philly. Does this ever get old? I mean, what is this like to to gift this to your ball club, but to the franchise in the city of Philadelphia? Never gets old, man. I mean, I spent spent my first seven years never doing this. And, uh, I really appreciate it now. And, you know, I’m glad we get to keep doing this. We’re going to enjoy this one tonight. and uh hope we have a lot more coming. Listen, go enjoy it. I appreciate it, buddy. Thank you, man. John Middleton is enjoying the stream right now. I asked Aaron as the longest tenure Philly, if this ever gets old, what is this like to watch I saw you in the stands, what’s it like to watch all this? Uh, you mean watch it from the stands? Yes. Yeah. Well, I was, you know, that last couple of innings I was really twisted in knots. I I thought we were out of it and then the home run in the ninth inning and but what what a great effort on the 10th to come back. I mean and and and Robertson coming in and not allowing the run to score. I mean that was it’s huge. It’s so hard to do that in this day and age. What is this what is this gift like for the Philadelphia Phillies fans when they see this? Well, I remember when I was just a fan and I love I loved watching this stuff. It gave me energy. It made me happy. made me proud to be a a fan and proud to be a Philadelphia and I I hope people are feeling the same thing tonight. The excitement part of it is that these guys are so close and they’ve been so close for four years. Doesn’t matter who comes in. You kind of feel that, don’t you? Yeah, you do. And they assimilate people quickly. You just see with the new guys who came in at the training deadline, they love it here. Getting right now. There you go. All right, John, we’ll let you go. John Middleton, guys, it’s been a great celebration so far. We Well, hold on a second. Weston Wilson’s here. Here I want to ask sorry Wes guys listen that I mean that was a huge home run when the Phillies needed it. What was it like coming back to the dugout after you hit that home run? Uh I think you just felt all the momentum shift to our side. Uh I don’t know man I just this team has been resilient and uh to to be able to do that and lift this team up it was awesome. I know you’ve hit a lot of home runs in your life. When you’re going around the bases, can you consume what what you just did to contribute? When you go around the bases, can you consume what it was like? Can you feel it? Was it like flying on the air? Scream a little bit. Uh but I I waited a little bit till I got to the dugout. Yeah. And enjoyed it with my teammates. All right. Well, go enjoy it. Thanks, man. Congratulations. Uh give me an idea. I mean, it’s We were saying it’s like a workmanlike celebration. I mean, it’s a You guys have been here before. What’s it like to keep being back here like this? It’s huge. you know, uh, NL East is one of the best divisions in all of baseball. So, for us to for us to clinch and take that spot is huge. Uh, but, uh, we got a long way to go. A job’s not done. We’re still going for some more things. But, uh, yeah, Ben just asked about that. I mean, about going for the number one seed and how important that is, going for the number one seed, how important that is. That’s huge. Uh, we got the best fans in all of baseball, so we need that home homefield advantage for sure to play at the bank as many times as we can. But uh uh yeah, you know, uh we got to take it day by day. Uh but yeah, we’re going to celebrate this one tonight and have some fun. Chug buddy. The chug buddy’s going. All right. Thanks, Brandon. We appreciate it.

Stop celebrating until we win the chip. We need to stay hungry. Better not hear I keep dancing on my own either.
Congrats, guys!!!
50-yr Phan here.
These four straight postseason appearances have been phantastic…never take any of them for granted.
This club is playing WS Champs-caliber ball right now…feel confident (moreso when Trea & Alec return).
Wilson, Kemp, Bader, Kepler have stepped up.
Rotation not as strong without Wheeler, but the top 3 are humming along just fine.
Pen is solidified.
We can indeed win this thing.
Get Kyle locked-up!
Just want to thank John Middleton for spending that money. Payroll is over $300 million. Thank you, John.
I agree I second motion to thank John Middleton. He’s an owner who’s not afraid to go after the trophy. I really hope that this is the year finally that we bring the World Series home again to Philadelphia. It’ll be the third one I’ve gotten to see in my lifetime.
John Middleton the tipsy privateer
I've been in front camera before its almost like they r shining a spotlight on u amazingly u could even see a player in those lights
Congrats Phillies! 2 years in a row! This team can take it all! Let’s go! Red October baby!!!

Let's go Paint Philadelphia Red this October ❤❤️🔴🔴🔴
CBP bout to be lit.
Now go get the Phucking Trophy!!!!!
Harrison Bader reminds me of Lenny Dykstra. Also the Phils playing money trees in the background 😂
LFG PHILS!!!! I got a fever and the only cure is SCHWARBOMB
Playing it cool and off the radar.
4:08 how does he forget Zack Wheeler?? even Thomposon didn't mention Wheeler with his speech.
Feels more earned this year than last year. Sure we may not have started out as hot but we've been relatively consistent all year. It feels like our year. Onto the next step!
From now on, I'm switching ALL of my allegiances to the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and 76ers!
Harrison Bader needs to stay on this team…wow he brought a new energy to this club and he can play a little bit too…how long has it been since we had production at the CF position?
Congrats Phillies on winning the NL East a big accomplishment. I do think this team can win it all but right now enjoy the moment. I’m a Jays fan so we’re close to clinching the AL East and who knows maybe we see each other in the World Series. Anyway congrats Phillies on an excellent year.
Bro we need a ring for this team! Please lord let it happen good job boys!!
