In terms of wins, it's unlikely Chicago will finish this low after posting 40, 39 and 39 wins, respectively, over the past three seasons. Yet, few teams have less hope of becoming a contender than the Bulls, who have prioritized competing for the play-in over grander ambitions. Chicago has gotten younger, transitioning from a DeMar DeRozan-Zach LaVine core to one led by Coby White (25) and Josh Giddey (22). The Bulls will have cap flexibility next summer, but we don't trust this organization to maximize that opportunity.

Seems about right. Doesn’t matter what happens next season, the front office can’t be trusted to build anything that would responsible a cohesive, winning roster. Being slightly better than 2 other dumpster fire franchises is exactly where they belong.
Unfortunately spot on, hoping for the best and I do love the current team in terms of players and personality, but a true contender they are not.
I did just go into this White Sox season expecting even worse than last season and have been pleasantly surprised by the young core, so maybe something like that happens offering a glimmer of hope, idk
Go Bulls regardless
All the hopes for doing better than the play in reside in Coby and Giddey maintaining their unmaintainable March form and Matas turning into an All Star almost overnight. And even then, this is still a massively flawed team with next to no shooting and rim protection. To top it off, the FO seems in no hurry to drastically improve this team in one way or the other. I’m surprised we ain’t last.
Only the Pelicans and Suns were ranked below the Bulls.
I’m gonna go ahead and take an opportunity in this absolute doomer thread to talk about how excited I am for the direction this team is taking.
The bulls are a very fast, up-tempo team, with a lot of good shooters who can space the floor, and players who push the ball at every opportunity. And they’re huge. Team is definitely missing its future rim protector/runner, but otherwise, every position is significantly well sized.
Coby has really grown into a dominant scorer. I really like Giddey’s game, he seems like a winner and someone who will make teammates happy to be on his team. Buzelis is also a ton of fun, and while it’s early, there’s genuine signs of him being a future star who will become the face of the team.
After those three, there’s are lot of fun re players on the squad. Huerter is underrated, Collins is fun to root for, Ayo seems ti be developing nicely, tre jones is another winner. I just enjoy terrys game. Essengue is gonna be rough to start I’m guessing, but I think he could be an elite defender. Also, I kinda thought Patrick Williams was like in this awkward place last year where he was often a little off on making some really good plays. I’m not holding my breath, but I’m not gonna be surprised if he ends up rounding into a good player here over the next couple years.
Mainly, the bulls are making an interesting squad of wildly athletic, long players, many of who can shoot, and a couple who are very strong passers, a couple with great handles, and a couple who project to be strong defenders.
National media will always treat any team as trash until they start winning, so these types of rankings are not gonna show it, but yeah, I definitely think the bulls are in a much better spot than people make it sound.
This is why I laugh when anyone on here mentions our “core.” We have no core. Every single player on this team should be tradable if the price is right.
Not bad! That’s out of, like, 100, right?
Never lose hope. The Play-in runs through Chicago. See Red.
way too high – both the rating and the rater
But hey remember Jordan in the 90’s?!! Wasn’t that fun?
Last year’s list ranked Detroit at 29. The Rockets were bottom 5 two years ago.
Things change quickly, especially for young teams, so it’s hard to project the “three year outlook” for a roster where half of the players are expiring and the other half are 25 and under.
