BREAKING: Sharks Sign Oliver Wahlstrom to Professional Tryout | Has AHL Deal In Place

San Jose Sharks have signed former firstround pick Oliver Walstrom to a PTO. I’m JD Young of Locked on Sharks. The Sharks signed the former 11th overall pick from the 2018 draft to a professional tryyout. Uh if Walstrom does not make the San Jose Sharks out of camp, he does have an AHL deal in place that will send him down to the Barracuda. uh Walstrom spent last season split between both the Islanders, the team that drafted him, and then the Boston Bruins organization, uh where he spent a majority of the time in Boston actually playing with the Providence Bruins in the AHL. I think what this does is it provides more depth for the Sharks uh AHL organization uh in most likelihood as they look to try to trade one of their AHL guys on an NHL contract and open up some slots for Sam Dickinson or Michael Misa. 12 more on your next episode of Locked on Sharks.
