Tomorrow Is A HUGE DAY For The Edmonton Oilers…

Hey friends, this is Dolan TV. Glad to have you aboard here this afternoon. We are less than 24 hours away from main camp opening for the Oilers. 2526 NHL season. Some new rules, some new salary cap situations, and oh, some new Oilers to be had, marveled at as main camp opens. It’s going to be a good time. I mean not to waste too much of your time to begin the video because I know that the first 30 seconds is a precious time. So bear with me as I ask you if you’re new to the channel to consider hitting that subscribe button and joining us on this crazy train towards this NHL season. Hey, you know what? I’m just over 18,000. The goal for the year is 20,000 subscribers here on Dollar TV. You could help impact that number and of course stay up to date with the Oilers in the process. You help me, I help you kind of deal. Okay, I don’t need to sales pitch you. I don’t even have graphics for you today. Simply put, the Oilers put out their camp roster includes no unknown PTO invites. As we were told a few weeks back, the Oilers are not keen on inviting any PTO players. There is sentiment specifically from Bob Staer of the Oilers Now radio show. Uh, and of course the Evston Oilers organization, the color commentator for us on the radio. Uh Bob Staer saying that we actually need to trade a forward out of the puzzle instead of bringing more in. So at least on the forward thing for sure somebody is likely leaving the Oilers equation. Whether you want to say this guy, that guy, that’s all yet to be decided and I am excited for that because this camp is truly going to be unreal from a demon Oilers perspective. Now that said, defense, you know, an injury or two could necessitate a PTO. So stay tuned. Uh, we’ll get through all the assessments, the medical stuff tomorrow and we’ll understand where we are. We know William Nickel who’s on the list. There’s 55 guys. I could show you the list or quite simply you could go look over social media, find the list, find the details instead of me giving you terrible stuff and information. Just go find it yourself. That will be the easiest and quickest route to find the 55 guys today. Uh, so that’s where I would tell you William Nickel we know is coming in banged up. Connor is coming in banged up. So, there’s a couple guys on that 55 that won’t be full participants. It looks like the goalies will get a lot of work early on for the Oilers in this preeason. We’ve heard good things about Stu Skinner. That’s positive. That’s awesome. And obviously, a new goalie coach should help out that process as well. So, that is that. That is camp. That’s all I’m willing to discuss until we hear from Stan Bowman, Conor McDavid, and crew tomorrow morning. I think around 8:45, probably 9:00 a.m. by the time they get things going. So, by the time you’ve had your morning coffee at work and you get back to work before lunch break, there will be a ton to read on your desk as you get through the morning grind. If you have that opportunity, you know, if work stops on the construction site or up north on the oil fields, um, you know, for a little bit during the 11 o’clock hour, you will have a ton of content, not only here on YouTube, but over on any social media or a site like Oilers Nation or anybody else that blogs about the Oilers to discuss when it comes to the Edmonton Oilers. So, that’s again, I can’t promise you I will have anything, but there will be a ton of stuff on the Oilers tomorrow. It is absolutely going to let loose when Stan Bowman and Conor McDavid start yapping tomorrow to the media. So stay tuned. Right, I have nothing of substance here. I’m just telling you what to prepare for. Now the big thing that you also have to be aware of is the first preseason game is on Sunday. The first two preseason games are on Sunday. A split squad Calgary Edmonton in Calgary Edmonton. Now, what you need to know there is again, if you’re planning on tuning in as a Southern Alberta fan and thinking about going to the rink in Calgary, it’ll be a lesser squad. Normally, the home team squad in the split squad has the stronger team. So, the weaker team will be in Calgary. The stronger Oilers team likely to be in Edmonton. I’ll be in Edmonton myself. Of course, I’m going to run this back. I feel crazy for wearing the same jersey to three games in a week, but we’re going to wear the James Hamlin signed Bakersfield jersey just again. For those of you that haven’t had a chance to check it out uh down there at the rink, I man, it was probably the most popular jersey I’ve ever worn to a hockey game. I’m looking forward to showing it off again. I am very lucky. I’m very, very damn grateful to have the opportunity to own this jersey and have it hanging on the wall. And of course, again, the man, the myth, the legend himself, James Hamlin, is a big reason why. So, again, looking forward to being down at Rogers for that. Other than that, really, it’s just it’s just kind of a mental game switch of we’ve gone through the summer. It’s been very quiet, friends. All I can tell you is it is about to get very loud starting tomorrow morning at about the 9:00 hour. So, um, tomorrow, expect a heavier than usual diet of videos from me. Uh, whether it be shorts, whether it be, you know, live streams from the car, whatever the case might be. Um, I know they’re trying to get a wing night together, the boys there at work, but I think it’ll be a shut it down kind of night at least to begin and get things going in video form for you. That’ll judge based on the news. And that really leaves us with the last topic, of course, how much of a circus tomorrow turns into because Conor McDavid is still unsigned. Obviously, he’s got another almost entire year to sign, but as the noise gets loud for training camp, the noise around McDavid will get even louder. The best thing the Oilers probably can do uh in terms of PR-wise is tomorrow morning with Stam Bowman, have Conor McDavid come out and announce a contract extension. Hey, you know what? I haven’t checked social media in the entire time this video has been uh recording, nor again if it goes public and it changes within a minute of being up, have I checked social media in that time and been able to react and get a video up. If Conor McDavid is indeed signing tomorrow, that would be a massive victory overall for the presence at camp, the media, the cycle, everything would be huge. So friends, that’s where I’m going to leave you. I really don’t have much more to say other than get prepared. It is going to be a massive day tomorrow for the Oilers. Conor McDavid, Stan Bowman, us as fans and the media are going to have a circus with it. So looking forward to what comes tomorrow. For right now though, I am up on odier. [Music]
