almost 261. 17 home runs. He was 0 for three last night. Deep to center. Alec Thomas on the move and it’s over. He’s headed off the wall. Ramos jumps on that one. It’s a leadoff double. That’s it. hard and into right. Matt Williams stops Ramos. Kevin hits a deep fly ball to right. Ramos is at third. Corbin’s under it. Here comes Ramos. Deers moves up. Play on at second and he sneaks in there. And the Giants strike first and he delivers a base hit. Matt Williams windmilling Devers around. Corbin’s throw coming home. Vargas cuts it off and the Giants get two in the first. Down the line and that’s trouble. This will get Wilmer Flores home. It’s deep in the corner. Casey Schmidt being waved home as well. The relay for Marte is not in time and it’s a fourrun San Francisco first. Right at Marte. San Francisco sends eight to the plate. They get four home. Some work to do against the Giants. And he hits a double play ball right to Casey Schmidt. And Adamus turns it because he does give up so much contact. You’ve got to play airtight defense. Corbin lines it right at Casey Schmidt. He’ll two and two on Elliot Ramos. And Rod picks up his first strike out. at that change. Chased a high fast ball and backto-back strikeouts. E-Rod starting to get some chase here. Broken bat. Jerry’s under it. And they’re able to strand that lead on single when we come back. Gabby down the line and it is there in the corner. Moreno at it again. It’s a leadoff double. Their first hit tonight. with that painfully sore left elbow. See, he’s got that elbow guard on there, that front elbow. And he knocks it into right field. Tim Bogar waving Moreno home. And Carlos with a throw. Wilmer with the relay and it’s not in time. Blaze Alexander gets the Diamondbacks on the board. Dale Castillo to right field. It’s on its way and it’s gone. Well, remember in that sixth inning last night they hit for the cycle. All they need is a triple here in the second and they can do it again. Double play ball here. Schmidt Adamus for one and they’re able to turn their second double play in as many innings and quickly two down and in the second. Bounced over the head of Beck Schmidt gets to it and makes a crisp play down there at second in the front office and Burns reaching out to and that one is going to go. But yeah, so so Burns was uh was definitely a part of it for sure. Well, James, appreciate it. Thanks so much. All right, thanks for having me. All right, guys. Back to you. Well, Harry down the line that gets through Flores and Pomo’s on the move. He shot it right by Wilmer and he’s at second to start the third. High fly ball carrying toward the home run porch. Lee is under it and he’s got just enough room. Purdomo can tag and get to third, but Corbin just missed that one and he hits the first one along the line. Wilmer, a long way to go and he’s able to run it down. A promising start. Has a disappointing finish to the inning and it stays 53 Giants. Marte very short right center. Catel drifting way out there to run it down. And there’s one away in the corner. Hangs up and fairly deep left center. McCarthy on the run and Jake’s got it. Boy, did he go a long way to get to that one. A great line to the ball by McCarthy for the second out. Everyone said, “Well, that’s it. The white flag’s up. They’ve given up.” But they’ve got quicker, more athletic, better defensively. And here they are knocking on the door of a wild card spot. One and two on Blaze. Got that elbow guard on there. And he chased a slider. That’s it up the middle but right at two outs. Now out for the second time tonight. And so far so good. Another very quick efficient 1, two, three, four. Three outs on eight pitches. Double play ball here for Purdomo. Marte for one and they roll it. Wilmer Flores. Homer his last time up. Slow roller to third. Blaze gobbles it up. The quick inning. Three ground ball outs for Rod. Three outs on 10 pitches. We’re midway through and it’s 5-3 Giants. Jake gets it down right back toward the mound. Chapman only has one play. And that one rolls through. Tim Bogar going to wave. V Argus and Cardi with a big arm throw is not in time. RBI for Catel Marte and it’s five to four. Base hit. He shoots it the other way. Predomos home to tie it up. Corbin Carroll makes it five to five. Belted that one into right center. Marte will take the big turn and Catel turns on the Jets. Hayes in at second. Base hit up the middle. Tim Bogar stops Marte. Boy, that almost took BH’s head off. That was a rocket. Right back up the box. 106 m an hour. Oh, he almost had it right at Chapman. That’s two runs that would have come in right there. Lays right to first. Wilmer coming home and there’s nowhere for Marte to go. Oh, they say safe at first. Yeah. digs it out. It gets by the pitcher. They’re going to wave it off. Yeah, they got the Yeah. Yeah, that was signaled right away. That’s interference. I mean, Blaze, I think, is making the case. Look, I got nowhere to go there. And he’s not wrong, but still, the rule is the rule. Yeah. popped him up. Vargas first base side. Drift it back toward the infield and he’s got it for number one. Wing and a miss over the top of the sinker. Two down for Soulfrey. He only has one straight right-handed hitter on the bench. That’s Christian CS. He’s their only backup infielder. He sure doesn’t want to take Lee’s glove out of center field. That’s a fair ball, says Jordan Baker. And it’s the end of the inning. Two singles, 102 and 106. Base hit. Another hard hit. And there you go. His third hit tonight. There’s your winning run. This is four caught stealing. Patrick Bailey is one of the best in the game. Well, Corbin’s going to get second base. More creeping in from first. Blaze squares up, gets it down. Walker close at first and he’s safe. He came off the bag. Jordan little tapper. Here comes Corbin. It’s the first career walk-off hit from Jordan Lawler and the Diamondbacks win it six to five. Just a little check swing bouncer to the left side right there once it gets by Walker. That’s a tough play for Roma Flores coming over from his angle at first base. It’s been a night of 100 plus mph velocities, but a little number 44 m an hour off the bat is the one that won it. And the roller coaster season continues. That’s the 77th game this season the Diamondbacks have both led and trailed in a game and they now have 77 wins.
