Marlins vs. Rockies Game Highlights (9/16/25) | MLB Highlights
Bark in the park night again. I think every night should be bark in the park night. I totally agree. You don’t dress up your dog, get all fancy, and then just sit in front of the door. You bring him to the game. That’s right. Kyle Freeland will begin the home stand and he will finish the home stand when the Angels are in town. But you look at the last four starts for Kyle. He has a 275 RA. He’s really found something with the mix. And with this Marlins offense, Drew, they don’t punch out. Top five in baseball, hardest teams to strike out. Here’s the one to Otto Lopez. This is in the air to right and the Rockies have big there. One out. And here is Ramirez. He’s an interesting guy. He’s 24 and he can hit the long ball as he gives this a ride to fairly deep left and it’ll stay in the ballpark. Two away. Jacob Marcy. Ground ball on three bounces to Ryan Ritter. Guns it over to first. Kyle Freeland with a seven pitch. One, two, three. First on the hill for the Marlins tonight to kick off a three-game set. Yuri Perez, he’s making his 18th start this year. That is one shy of what he made as a 20-year-old in 2023. 6 and five of the 467 erra in 81 innings of work. Starting with Tyler Freeman. There’s a swing at a miss. Beautiful sweeper from Yuri. Punches out Freeman. And there’s one away. Now he gets Mickey Moniac. because that’s lifted in the air to right. Lemur started in. Now he goes back and he makes the catch and there’s two away. Two outs in a scoreless first inning. Hunter Goodman the hitter. Two two got him. Perfect. Bottom of the first inning including a pair of strikeouts for Yuri. Jordan Beck on that road trip went six for 22. Had a double, an RBI, couple of walks. And there is strike three. Third strike out of the ball game through four batters for Yuri Perez. Ezekiel Tobar. Next hitter for the Rockies. Another really good slider right there. He’s really got that working so far. That’s a four strikeout. Britain Doyle’s turn now at plate. Pitch drilled straightaway central butt hanging up. Jacob Marcy in center makes the catch about 10 ft shy of the track and the inning is over. Six up, six down. Fourks for Yuri Paris. And the Marlins have their second base runner of the ball game. Their eighth pitch of the at bat, Kevin up to Sonohan. He bangs it off the bag at second. It carams into shallow center field. We on his way to third. It’s a friendly hop for Javier Senoha. First and third, one, one out. Yeah, Marlins in business in a scoreless game here in the third, looking to break the ice first. Otto Lopez leading off. There’s a highf fly ball in the air to right field, sending Moniac back. He makes the catch for out number two. We tags. Throw coming in towards second. Not in time. We crosses the plate and it’s one- nothing Miami. Here’s Marcy with a highf fly ball in the air to right field. Moniacs going back onto the warning track. He’s at the wall. Can’t get it. It’s off that high fence. One run will score. Here comes the throw towards the plate. Catching a tag. Not in time. Senoha and Ramirez score on the two-run double with two outs by Jacob Marcy. And it’s three nothing Miami early. Boy, I thought that ball was getting out by Marcy. And that is the first Rocky’s base runner and their first hit of the night. Now Kyle Keros the son of Eric Keros league veteran watches called strike three already the fifth strike out of the ball game for Yuri Freeman Moniac and Goodman one two three hitters that’s a meat of the order for the Rockies now with a bouncing ball left side of the infield. Norby plucks it on the forehand. Third baseman sets his feet fires to first. Wagamman holds the bag and Yuri works a scoreless third. So Norby gets hit number four for Miami with one out here in the fourth inning. Taking his time getting to the plate. Dane Meyers after Norby gets the first pitch base hit line to center field. Doy las and makes a catch. Brenton was going to hold up at first and then the wind lifted it to the point that he said it was worth the risk and he got it. Yuri Perez back out there for the home court. What a good slider from Yuri Perez. Another strike out for Yuri. Now we start looking at pitch count. Two outs here in the fifth. The way that the pitch count is looking, I mean, you do have an off base. Come on, CG. Says this is bounced to third. Roby handles it cleanly. And the inning is over. One, two, three inning for Yuri. And it’s 71 pitches. He’s through five shutout innings. Hernandez with an infield single. And last time up a soft liner to shortstop. It’s the 01 to Hernandez is banged through the hole in the left side. the off man aboard for the Marlins to begin the sixth. And Eric Wagaman, the first baseman, is up there. Wagaman bangs one up the middle and it sends Freeland to the canvas. Pair of sharply struck singles for the Marlins to begin their sixth inning of work. So, first and third now for the Marlins with one down as the rain is starting to fall here at Coursefield. Well, I didn’t think it was going to rain until after 10 or 11:00. Dane Meyers shoots one out towards the gap in right center field. This might clear him. Hernandez will score easily. Here comes Eric Wagaman. Throw coming towards the plate is not in time. That’s a two-run double for Dane Meyers. And welcome back to the lineup. A two-run double again. Second of the night for Miami. It’s five nothing Fish in the top of the sixth. I can tell you that the entire grounds crew was sitting right next to me before this half inning started and they had the iPad out and then all of a sudden they all went to the other side. That’s okay. Yeah. And now Raz is on the phone. It’s even worse. Two outs and Javier Senoa is the hitter. Second baseman, runner at second. 01 is bounce fair. High chopper over the head of Crim rolling down the right field line. A run is in. Throw coming in towards second is not in time. Two out RBI double for Javier Samoha to plate Dane Meyers. Now it’s six to nothing Miami. Javier Senoha and second base. Man, it’s a unique relationship tonight. But he’s gotten there safely both times. And that’ll be all for Freeland. Lauren Schaefer is going to come out. Jaden Hill is going to come in. Yeah. Never like seeing this. So the Rockies down six to nothing. The tarp’s going to be pulled. Middle of the sixth inning. And hopefully this this uh little rainstorm is as Cory Sullivan said it would be a quick rain delay. Going to holding crossed. Yeah. As we said, there has been a lot of lightning in the area and and it’s been maybe as windy a ball game as we have had here at Kors Field in a while, but definitely uh the need to get the tarp out. The rain is is coming down steadily right now. Anthony Molina working his second inning. Dane Meyers will be the first man he faces. How long though? This ball’s hit really well to center field and Meyers gets robbed. Doyo takes it back. Oh my, what a grab. Oh my goodness. Had that diving catch coming in on the ball earlier and this time completely robs a hitter of a home run. Rockies with a pair of singles here in the eighth inning on a quiet night for the offense. Can they come up with a hit in the clutch here with two outs? Oh, Mickey Moniac. And Mickey leans on one to deep right center field. Did he catch all of it? You bet. Three run home run Mickey Monia. And now the Rockies within shouting distance of the Marlins. 22nd on the season. He has set personal highs in just about every category, including now 65 runs batted in. Bottom of the ninth inning. Ronnie Enriquez is trying to close out a ball game for the Fish. This would be a save for Ronnie. Two-1, one out here in the ninth. They trail by three. Enriquez pitch is driven to left, but not quite enough to get out on the warning track. Meyers grabs it. Doyle tags and scores. He gets them a run closer. It’s six to four. The tying run once again coming to the plate. And the Rockies down to their final out. Here’s the 1-1 ground ball. Diving stop, but they’re not going to get it. Everybody just throw it away. It’s now a six to five game. Hang on tight. Now the tying runs at third. Two out. Bottom nine. Goodman waits on the 2-1. Then he swings and he lines it to third. Norby’s got it and the ball game is over. Marlins bend but they don’t break here in the bottom of the ninth. Rockies rally, come up a run

Valente Bellozo hasn't pitched recently. Is he in the minor leagues? Is he injured? Or was he in the bullpen the whole game today?
What a night of fixing by mlb. 7/10 final games of the night ended in large comebacks all by the underdog. An almost 1 in 10000 scenario that is a dream situation for house. Wake up this game is wwe. The sportsbooks pay league and teams directly. Mics in the helmets of batter and catcher. Total fixed game. Players dont even really need to know coaches and managers could do it all.
Eury is filthy.
Iโm so excited for the future of the Marlins, but man have they had some really bad luck this season.
Every team becomes Elite defenders against the Marlins. Frustrating.
That pitch kills
Thank you Lord for giving us ALL the talents and abilities to perform for your Glory. ๐ Amen.
