  2. I’m sure he’ll be a Tampa Bay Ray in 3 years and we will be looking back asking why we let him go.

    He’s definitely gotten better defensively and Skenes and him work well together behind the plate. Think as long as Skenes is here you keep giving Henry chances. It was a point of emphasis to improve his defense this year so hopefully he can at least be somewhat serviceable as a bat next year

  3. Can we chip in for at least an average hitting coach?

    The whole team seems unprepared for each pitcher.

  5. Henry gets 1 more year imo to figure out the bat (at least hit .200 + cmon). Next season is huge for his future here.

  6. There is certainly hitting pedigree in there. But I’m tired of waiting and don’t trust this organization to develop it.

  7. I mean, it’s obvious whatever they are trying isn’t helping. He has gotten worse. This development system infuriates me sometimes. He should be an average hitter at worst. He raked in the Minors. They made him worse.

  8. I have literally never seen him make an adjustment. Tweak the stance. Try batting gloves. Someone in the organization needs to advocate for trying new things. Baseball is a game of adjustment. That stupid Pete Rose video where he says to never change has made too much of an impact…

  9. I honestly feel for him, you can see how much he wants to compete in his face. You can tell he’s trying so hard to improve at the plate… It’s just not working out.

    Almost in the same way you look at Cruz when he’s playing and can tell he’s uninterested in the game today and completely lethargic.
