  1. Seiya back in the lineup – NEED the stepbrothers to come back in full force together ❤️

  2. Good to see Seiya back in the lineup playing right field and keeping Mo Baller as the DH for a potential playoff spot clinching game today

  3. Hawks are probably going to be bad again, the bulls are destined to be mid forever while the bears are destined to be ass forever. I needed this cubs team

  4. Does anyone actually know what the absurdly low probability outcome that kept us from clinching with the D-backs win last night was? I’m assuming something stupid like us losing out and somehow tying with them and the Mets?

  5. **Posted in the daily thread, but looking for opinions here too:**

Does anyone else think that Horton’s WAR looks unreasonably low for the numbers he’s produced? For example, 1.9 bWAR thru 115 innings is roughly 3 bWAR thru 180 innings. (arbitrary IP, but basically a full season for a SP) I would expect a SP with a 2.66 ERA to have a 4+WAR thru 180 innings.

I understand his FIP 3.53 and his K% isn’t huge, but I’m probably missing something else that is to blame for his relatively low WAR.

Also for reference, Freddy Peralta has a nearly identical ERA and a higher FIP but his WAR/IP is nearly twice Horton’s. So I guess K% carries a lot of weight in this calculation?

  6. Since we’re an impressive 23 over today, I started looking over my wall charts since 2016. I’m very much remembering now what the end of 2018 was like. I am eager to get that bitter taste out of mouth
