How long? How long is the organization going to allow this piece of inept mediocrity to continue to terrorize the fanbase? How long until we get actual substance instead of tired recycled rhetoric? How long will careers be wasted? How long do we have to wait for something that should have happened with that Canada fella?

I’m usually very level headed, but I do think it would be interesting to start some “Fire Austin” chants at one or two of these games.

Under Dan Rooney, this coaching staff woulda probably been retooled years ago. Under Art 2, imo, he is so cheap that the Steelers will keep Austin. I am sure he is still having nightmares about having to pay Matt Canada for doing nothing

As long as the head coach remains the same does it really make a difference?
If Austin and Meyer were available tomorrow would they get another job in the NFL? They certainly would not get an equivalent position.
The list of sub par coaches the Steelers have had in key positions in recent years is staggering, in no particular order Canada, Meyer, Austin, Sarrett, Glenn etc. It’s absolutely crazy that they continue to do this

He will be here until his contract expires and then Mediocre Mike will promote the LB coach to Def Coord. How long you been a Steelers fan? This sitcom has a very predictable and certain ending to each episode.
So this season’s shortcomings will be placed on Austin and he’ll be fired at seasons end. Tomlin, zero blame. Then we’ll “promote” one of the defensive position coaches to DC.
Fast forward to next year (2027) and after next season’s shortcomings, we’ll fire Art Smith.
And we’ll continue to hire “Yes men” that don’t dare challenge Tomlin’s Lordship.
And then rinse and repeat until Tomlin literally dies. Cuz he ain’t getting fired EVER. So enjoy 9-8 forever.
People need to stop blaming him for tomlin’s failures. He’s a scapegoat, and you’re falling for it.
The fact is that assistant head coach hires are on the head coach. If assistants consistently struggle to get results, you look at the top. I mean how many puppets do we have to go through before you see tomlins fingers wiggling underneath?
So it’s Tomlin, who runs the defense. TA is just a person in the role to look the part.
