Talk about his 11 championships all you want, but arguably the most impressive coaching job Phil Jackson did is he took a team with Kobe, Lamar and a bunch of below average role players (Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, Brian Cook, Chris Mihm) and not only coached that team to 45 wins, but darn near upset the 2 seed in the Playoffs. Having MVP level Kobe helped as well but he exploited the lack of size of the Suns in the Playoffs and actually got Kwame to make meaningful contributions. If not for Tim effing Thomas…

goat coach. sucks no one can utilize the triangle offense but maybe that’s for the best with text winter and phil.
