The Saints receive wide receiver Pulk and a 2028 seventh round pick. The Patriots receive a 2027 sixth round pick. It’s worth noting he is currently on IR due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. And so this is a long-term play for the Black and Gold. And it is a nice move for a player who was really, really productive at Washington. But I will say it’s interesting. I don’t understand why the Saints are trading away so many picks and trading away future assets. But to each their own, it’s Kell Moore’s team now. They traded a 6th for an injured player who was a 2nd and a 7th, in 28. They’re draft pick neutral in this trade, and it’s low. What’s the drama around picks when the goal is building the team? Picks are a tool, not the only method to build a team. Simplistic viewpoint, constantly repeated.
