Philadelphia Phillies vs Los Angeles Dodgers – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 17, 2025 MLB Season

All right, John. Welcome to Dodger Stadium. Final game of this three-game series between the Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies. Dodgers trying to avoid the sweep. 6-4 Padres’s trying to win the series against the Mets in New York. That game in the ninth inning. Manny Machado with a grand slam. The difference. Six to five in 10 innings on Monday. 9 to6 yesterday. Both to the Phillies. Here we go with the finale. Snella Bader. Off we go with a pop fly, one pitch and one out. Surprised, right? I mean, this has been the Philly’s emmo this entire series. Comes home with a one-two pitch and strikes out Schwarber sticking with the hard stuff in this first inning though. Eight pitches, seven of them strikes, and he retires the side in order. chops the first one that he sees to second and everybody coming out aggressive in this game. One pitch, one out on both sides and a half. He’s got a sub three erra. Here’s a check swing bouncing ball to second for Weston Wilson. Two up and two down in this first. That was at his last start last Thursday against the Mets. Lazardo kicks and fires. Hernandez flies it to center field for Harrison Bader. And a much more smooth first inning for Lazardo this time. Just 11 pitches to go one, two, three. Here’s a two- two to Castianos and a swing and a miss for strike three. Already the third for Snell. [Applause] Here he comes with a 2-2. Strikes him out with a nasty slider. He’s using that pitch more tonight with these left-handers they have. They’ve retired the first nine they faced together. Freeman drives the ball deep center field. Bader’s going back. That ball’s leaving the yard to center field. And Freddy Freeman goes deep and it’s one to nothing LA. [Applause] There goes Roas. Hit and run. First and third for the Dodgers. How about that? Rojos playing the game with his eyes on that ball as he kicks away for a moment on the 02 pitch. Rips a bone to right center field. Wardfett comes through to score. Roa stops with a single. The third two strike here of the inning for the Dodgers. Outs to left center field. Kepler’s over. He’s got it. That’s the inning, but the Dodgers score twice. Oh, the one-two pitch. Nasty, nasty curveball for strike three. And already his fifth K. We’ve seen the last few years. That is four consecutive Ks and already six total. Deuce is wild in the third. Two on, two out and a two- two to Schwber is a curve that rains down for strike three. Mooki hitting 373 over a 21 game on base streak. Although down quickly here, change up. It’s really been the sweeper that he trusts the most. The change up off of it. Grounded to short and stop continues to fill in there for Trey Turner. Task Hernandez last few days much better. Andy Pahz the same. And the offense in a really good place with 10 games left after tonight. We’re down order right here. Curve ball grounded to first and Freddy Freeman. One first baseman to another for the first out of the fourth. It’s another really good year for him. On a two- two from Snell, he pops it into right field. Tasker Hernandez moves over there and puts it away. But when he’s fallen out of that, when he’s been unable to sustain it, it’s been because there’s been too much of that. There goes Pah from first. Throw from Rio Muto. Not in time. He just got in there. Hernandez come through into center field. You bet he can. Dodgers take advantage of this little two out chance and lead it three to nothing. Cracks his bat and a flare to right. On comes Castianos. He’s there. And that’s the inning. There’s two two to Kepler. Is a curve that swung through and missed. That is nine KS for Blake Snell [Applause] to short and bats. Two up double digit KS. There it is right there. Finishes off Wilson with a change up. He not going to need that anymore anyways. He’s down on strikes and Blake Snell has 10ks over five scoreless. Halfway home in a three nothing game. Otani looking to reach for the first time against Lazardo. Not going to happen this time. Down on three pitches. Lazardo with his fourth and bets and Oscar and Freeman. Oh, by the way, Will Smith Will Smith will be back in this lineup as well. [Applause] Roller to third in Kemp and Lazardo’s got a one, two, three, fifth. [Applause] Here’s one, two to Bader. Got a chase for strike three and his 11th strike out of the game. That is back to back. Here he comes with another 2-2. Schwarber gets up on top of that ball, sends it in the air to deep right center field. It will come down to Tay Oscar Hernandez and finish off six scoreless innings for Snell. It was a sweeper and it set it in that same direction. Not nearly as much on it though. And Freeman’s the first out of the six. That’s not the pitch he leans on. Smoked to third and caught by Kemp. [Applause] Edmond retired. Two away. [Music] Shaken a few times. Fires a payoff. Chopped off the hands to third. Kemp is there and the trend continues when he’s been good. He’s been really good. [Applause] Roller to second. Easy play for Rojos. And the first down of the seventh. That’s manifested as they’ve gotten healthy. They haven’t had that the whole year, but you’re looking at a rotation right now like you were thinking about early on. There’s Edmond to the wall to pull it in. Riomuto gave it a ride, but Tommy Edmond with a smile on his face hauled it in. Snailzilla delivers. [Applause] He finishes off seven scoreless innings with his 12th strike out of the night. Pahz to center field. Bader will flag it down. Unbelievable. [Applause] Lazardo strikes out Hernandez. Exclamation point of the night for play now. Wow. Jesus Lazardo finishes his day by retiring 10 straight. Sto lifts a fly ball to right center field. Hernandez on the run. He’s there. Vessia tries again. Popped up left side of the diamond for Kik Hernandez. Alex Vessia with a 1238. Otani smashes the ball right center field. It is gone in 51. [Applause] [Music] He’s homered in back-to- back. Tied with the amount that he hit his first year with the Dodgers. Smacks a base hit up the middle. Hernandez goes first to third and Freeman will throw on the brakes. They’re at the corners with one away. Edmond cranks a highline drive to right field. Castanos going back. Makes a leaping catch. Heck of a play by Nick Castanos, but it’s a sack fly for Tommy Edmund and it’s 5 nothing. 3-2 to Rojas is in for strike three. Dodgers get a couple big insurance runs here in the eighth. Strikes out Schwber for the first down of the nine. Part of his improvement after he had thrown it front door, he comes around. You see the bat of Schwerber. That’s the pitch that he hit for a home run in game one. No, now a payoff. Real mucho lines the ball to left field. Pah is there. Two gone in the nine. Off the hand shallow center field and a base hit for Castanos will put him in first and third. popped up left side. The Dodgers pitch a shut out and take the finale from the Phillies five to nothing.

  1. Bottom of the 8th, Ohtani sees Tanner Scott warming up and he was like shiet I better hit a HR and we should score more runs before that guy comes in!

  2. We should of clinched already and stop messing around and DAVE Roberts stop playing like u don’t want to win.. once we got our playoff spot u can rest some players.. but sweep SF please and ARIZONA.. 🤬🤫👍

  3. If we used Yoshinobu and Glasnow instead of the bullpen in game 1 and 2, we would’ve beat them 3-0. Something to consider in the 5 games playoffs series!!

  4. On this day September 18, 2025 the Los Angeles Dodgers made baseball history when their closers saved their first game of the season, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while👏🍾🙄

  5. Man I’m not even going to lie. The Big Sho might already be the greatest Dodger player ever, right now it’s still up for debate. Two/ three more years of this or anything similar it would be put in concrete. Ken Griffey Jr and Barry Bonds are the greatest players I personally have ever seen but Ohtani is something different man. He’s genuinely 1 of 1 💯
