Evan has the Tuesday Rockpile this week, and discusses the Rockies needing to be willing to move on if they hope to build for the future.

  1. Dick Monfort would have to magically become self-reflective if any meaningful change were to happen. If the organization wants to truly move on they can start by ditching the ol’ boys club formula.

  2. When a team is this bad, there are plenty of places that need to upgraded. And as an organization the Rockies have historically hung on to and overvalued players that were just OK.

Both Freeman and Moniak are that type. They are fine for filling out a roster. I would argue that Moniak has potential to be more. These are the guys you don’t want to get too attached to but move on from? Yes if there’s better out there.

  3. The guy at the very top is the one that needs to go most.

Until then, these conversations aren’t worth having AGAIN.

  4. The sooner you all realize that Coors Field is just an outdoor bar that happens to have live baseball the better off you all will be.
