Be sure to subscribe to the channel, turn on your notifications because there are a lot of updates that we’re going to be providing throughout the week leading up to game day and we’ll be live tomorrow afternoon. the latest roster moves for the New Orleans Saints. Hunter Deckers, welcome back to the roster updates video. He has been waved from the practice squad. So, the snip snap snip snap snip snap does continue. For what it’s worth, Lopez and I have a bet. We both think 10 days, within 10 days, he’s going to be back on the roster. Just feels like that’s what’s going on here. Feels very JT Barrettesque of the New Orleans Saints. Vernon Brtton, he suffered an injury this past week against the San Francisco 49ers in his rookie debut. He was placed on injured reserve. Terrell Burgess was signed from the practice squad to the active roster as an elevation. And then the New Orleans Saints signed two offensive linemen to the practice squad. And you’ll have some context as to why here in just one moment because coming up, we’re going to go through the injury report, the updates around Fuaga, Chase Young, Trevor Penning, and everyone else who is on the injury report. Three guys did not participate. We’re going to get you guys updated here in just one moment. We are on the road to 100,000 subscribers. It’s pretty crazy to ask for us to get to that in this video. Tales Fuaga, he is now dealing with a back injury. We’re going to talk more about him in just one moment. Dylan Raidens also did not participate. He suffered a toe injury. And Chase Young once again did not participate. And I am fired up. We need to get you guys the injury updates before I get into my opinions and my takes because you got to eat your vegetables before you can get to the dessert. Now, the injury update for Fuaga. He was managing a knee injury last week. Now, he also is dealing with a back injury. For what it’s worth, the back injury is what Kell Moore is describing as the thing they’re focused on and they’re worried more so about. His back injury did come in during the week 2 matchup against the 49ers. Um, and right now he’s considered dayto-day. He’s fighting to get back to play this weekend against Seattle. He wants to play, which is really, really good news because I thought that he was pretty solid this past week and I think that he’s a player that makes the offensive line much, much better. And for what it’s worth, I’d rather him be on the field than it seem Richard starting at the right tackle position. Now, the injury update for Chase Young. Remember, this guy suffered a calf injury. Um, initially the reports were that it was believed to be minor. He was considered day-to-day to start things off. He was originally put on the injury report a couple of weeks ago as a limited participate, downgraded to a uh DNP, and obviously has not taken the field yet for the 2025 campaign. Um he has not participated since the week one injury report came out um when he suffered his calf injury on Wednesday. Was downgraded to did not participate Thursday like we mentioned. Um and look, this is a guy who’s getting paid $17 million a year. Three-year $51 million contract, 33 guaranteed. You got to get on the field, man. If you’re making $17 million a year, you got to be on the field. You got to be putting up numbers, especially considering he’s the guy who the Saints brought back this free agency class to be the leading edge rusher. And right now, Carl Grerson, shout out to him for holding it down, but it’s him and Cam Jordan hold being the leading edge rushers with Chris Rum rotating in. I’d rather it be a higher overall talent level with Cam Jordan and Chris Rump rotating in because it makes the team better. And in terms of whether or not he’s going to play week three, Kell Moore is saying, quote, “We’ll see how it goes.” Lopez, does that make you feel pretty confident in week three? Doesn’t make me feel pretty confident in week three. Makes me feel like there’s really not much hope in terms of whether or not he will play week three. For what it’s worth, that’s speculation. That’s me just saying I don’t think that that’s a good piece of information from the Saints head coach because originally it was all, “Yeah, it’s minor.” He even laughed it off and said, “Hell no, this is not anything that’s going to keep me off the field.” Like we were initially told this was nothing major. We were told this was a day-to-day injury. This was not initially believed to keep him out for a long time. But here we are entering week three and he still has not participated. And I’m all for saying wait a little bit. Make sure you’re 100% healthy. Get back out on the field. But I’m really not in the camp of making excuses for a person making $17 million a year who last year played every single game, but before that has struggled with injuries. What the hell is going on? Like, why are you not on the field? It’s really, really frustrating to see your leading edge rusher not go and rush the passer. Call me crazy, but three years, $51 million, sure as hell hope we would have a sack by week three. I mean, if this was going to be a problem that carried over for multiple weeks, maybe put him on the pup list, maybe put him on IR with designations to return. I don’t know. My point being, if he is not going to be able to play and he’s not going to be able to be active, why is he taking up the roster spot? I’m not saying the Saints should cut him. I’m not saying they should move off of him. I’m not saying that they need to get rid of him whatsoever. I want Chase Young to take the field. That’s my point is he needs to be on the field. The Saints are better when he’s on the field. I can’t help but think how different these past two matchups would have gone, one possession losses, if the New Orleans Saints had their number one edge rusher on the field. Call me crazy, I think that they would be playing a little bit better. But thank God, like I said, Carl Grerson has absolutely lit it up so far. He is tied for first in sack production across the entire National Football League with Harold Landry and Miles Garrett right now. That’s pretty good company to be there with Diamond in the Rough out of Wyoming. really excited that Big Grando has continued to put up good numbers. But for what it’s worth, like I said, I think Chase Young being on the field not only makes the defense better, I think it makes Chase Young better, I think it makes Carl Granderson better. I think it makes Cam Jordan better. I think it helps the entire defensive line. Now, coming up, we’re going to get some positive injury news because we did see some uh at least one notable player return from injury and participate at least in a limited fashion today, which is good news if you ask me. But really quick, got to tell you guys about today’s presenting sponsor, and that is none other than Price Picks. All that information is available in the comments and description of this video. Shout out to prize pickics where it’s good to be right now. In terms of the limited participants, let me rephrase. I’m going to kind of backtrack here. In terms of the full participants, there wasn’t any. You have two limited participants. Only five total names listed on the Saints injury report. your two guys who were limited participants, Trey Palmer, who’s been a healthy scratch up to this point for the New Orleans Saints since being claimed on waiverss from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and guard Trevor Penning. He was a limited participant. So that is positive injury news. You remember he was dealing with that turf toe injury. He has returned to practice for the first time since suffering the injury in the preseason debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. And for what it’s worth, if he is able to play, he will start at the left guard position and he will be taking his first ever snaps at the left guard spot in the National Football League. And here’s how the offensive line is currently shaking out. Right now, we can assume based on the past few weeks, Trevor Penning was out. So, we’re just going to keep that designation there until we’re good to go. So, Kelvin Banks, Trevor Penning, Eric McCoy, Caesar Ruiz Tales Fuaga. That should be your starting lineup. However, remember Dylan Raidens did not participate. So, Torres Simpkins is a name to keep your eyes on. Xavier Truss is a name to keep your eyes on. Um, you also have Aim Richards who can be your backup tackle if Fuaga is unable to go. But, as we said, Dylan Raidens, he was dealing with that toe injury. He is not expected to go to IR. But, I will say as the backup guard, if he is unable to go, I do think that it is something concerning. But I do want to say I am at least excited and eager to see Torisily Simpkins. He filled in not just in terms of the center position. Well, I mean I guess in the preseason mostly filled in at the center position. Reminder, he came in after Will Clap went down in the Chargers preseason game. Played amazing at the center position by the way. And then he graded out really well according to Pro Football Focus. Zero sacks allowed um in the preseason which is really really impressive for an undrafted free agent rookie. And so I will say this, if Trevor Penning is unable to go, which hopefully he is because he was a limited participant, so it was an upgrade in his injury designation. Hopefully he can get back on the field. If Penning can’t go, Dylan Raidens is immediately the backup. But if Raidens can’t go because he was a uh he did not participate today due to a toe injury, I expect Taurus Simpkins to be ex uh filling in maybe Xavier Trust just because he pro has a little bit extra um reps in the National Football League, if you will. So Torres Simpkins I do think could be a viable option for the black and gold. I wouldn’t mind seeing him get out on the field. His development’s been nice and I think he’s been uh a fun player to watch grow up in the National Football League since being signed out of South Carolina. It’s really really good story. Shout out to Simpkins. Now I want to ask you, do you think Trevor Penning will play versus Seattle? Because if he can play, I’m much much more confident in this offensive line because I think that the offensive line of Banks, Penning, McCoy, Ruiz, Fuaga is much much better than the offensive line of Banks, Simpkins, McCoy, Ruiz, Fuaga, maybe Richards, who have to see there. Mainly asking about Trevor Penning. Do you think he’s going to play? I sure as hell hope he is. The fingers crossed that he can get back out on the field. I’m going to type my yes. What are you typing? In terms of Seahawks injury news, want to give you guys some updates and some injuries just to kind of monitor. Rookie safety Nick Eman War. He’s dealing with an ankle injury. Quarterback Devin Witherspoon dealing with a knee injury in starting center Jaylen Sundle. He left the game early versus Pittsburgh due to cramping late in that matchup. So, we’ll keep an eye out on whether or not he is able to go for Seattle. And for the sake of transparency, I wanted to let you guys know we did not have the Seattle Seahawks injury report at the time of filming this video. Has not been released, has not been updated. Going to just quickly do a one more make sure while we’re filming this to make sure every it’s not in there. Um it hasn’t been posted quite yet. We’re still waiting on it. Seahawks website still does not have it listed at the time of filming this video. So, when that does become official, if there’s any notable updates, we’ll put that in the comments section description so you guys can get informed. But just wanted to let you know three notable injuries to monitor. Nick Eman Wary, Jaylen Sundle, and um Devin Witherspoon. Those are the three just to kind of keep your eyes on. Uh talked to Will Ortner, host of Seahawks today here at Chat Sports. He said those are the three injuries just to kind of keep your eyes peeled for. Now, quick reminder to hit me up on social media because if we do get any other injury updates, I go to social media first and then I come to the YouTube streets. I appreciate y’all for supporting me and my guy, producer Loco Lopez, in our journey of growth to give you guys the best content on the YouTube streets around the New Orleans Saints. 1. Sorry for the late update, the Seahawks injury report was not out when we filmed the video, as promised here is the full Seahawks injury report:
    DNP on Wednesday:
    – RB Zach Charbonnet (foot)
    – S Nick Emmanwori (ankle)
    – S Julian Love (hamstring)
    – CB Devon Witherspoon (knee)

    LP on Wednesday:
    – LB Derick Hall (hip)
    – WR Tory Horton (groin)
    – CB Josh Jobe (knee)
    – LB Ernest Jones (shoulder)
    – T Abraham Lucas (elbow)

  2. I'd rather Penning sit one more game to be on safe side and start him fresh against one best DL in football with Buffalo Bills. Thry are loaded up and down their DL big and powerful we need all hands on deck for that game. Seattle is tough however waiting additional week woukd only help him. Simpkins is a really good find as UDFA I like his aggressive play and sounds like the coaches love him.

  3. There's a reason Young has been on several teams in his short career. He's another cliche player who gets the big money then sits on the bench and in the tub. Sad.

  4. Hey Trace, I feel you about Chase Young. However, teams a lot of times downplay players injuries. They’re saying it’s a calf injury but it might be an actual Achilles injury. Think about the calf and Achilles tendon are connected.
