Likely? Probably not but fun to speculate, Russo from what I’ve read is pretty reliable though so you never really know.

  1. I don’t understand the hype. He’s really really good. But why on earth does he think he’s highest paid player in the league by a massive margin good?

Like sure the cap went up, but the offer he turned down was absurd.

  2. Obviously dude is a stud but ain’t no way. You need to find $14M – $16M in cap space, and if you have to dump contracts to make that happen, teams are gonna bleed you dry of all your draft picks and prospects as sweeteners on those trades.

As much as I hate it, just feels like NYR are gonna grab him with that Panarin cap space next summer

  3. I’m sure he would tampa bay after being in Minnesota for years. But we don’t have a place for him nor a need

  4. Like has been said before, he turned down a big contract in Minnesota so unless he just wanted out and that’s purely a “fuck you I’m done” kinda thing and he’s willing to take FAR less money, Tampa can’t make this happen.

  5. Yeah, our first $10m+ player is going to be Kuch. And you don’t need two wingers taking 20-30% of cap space.

  6. If he wants $9.5m or less, sure. If he wants anything in the universe of MN’s offer then it’s not possible or something good to try.

  7. There’s only one way this happens. It’s very much in JBB’s style which was shown with Stamkos/Guentzel. I am not gonna spell it out because I do not wanna type these words

  8. In a world with a bigger salary cap sure. But not now, I find we have a perfect depth for our Top 6 F. O.B is still a question mark but everyone else in that Top 6 knows their spot and role and can play with each other if Coop has to shake things up mid game.

  9. Russo: *gives opinion on a players preference of city*

    OP: he’s pretty reliable.

These two things do not go hand in hand, OP.

  10. We all know Vegas is gonna be his next team…they somehow have infinite cap space every year
