We’re going to leave Sidney Crosby alone… for now… 😏 #SDP #penguins #nhl #hockey

He wants to be a penguin. Oh man, that’s crazy. I I’m shocked by that. Did he sign an extension last year with the Penguins? I am leaving him alone indefinitely and but I’ll tell you when it ends. I’ll tell you when it ends. Oh, I’ll tell you when it ends. You know, this is where I want to be. I love it here. I can’t keep having to answer the same question over again because these errors, you know, like people want to write about that or say that, that’s that’s fine. Your agent said it when you lose and when there’s certain things that happen, I think uh it’s normal for that stuff to come up. It’s normal for that stuff to come up when you lose. Listen, I’m going to leave him alone. However, Adam, he said something. If it comes to fruition, I will be fully back on your side. Let’s be clear. What’s my side? Your side is trade him. That’s your side. It is trade him. You’re the Toronto Devil. My side is this guy has paid millions of dollars to a guy over the course of his career who represents him who said it could happen. I am leaving him alone, but I’m going to be right on his ass. If the penguins obviously tank

  1. Season needs to start asap so media can leave McDavid and Crosby alone and get back to talking about whether the Leafs can survive without Marner and vice versa

  2. Problem is, the slim chances Penguins have to win in the next 3 years absolutely require Rakell and Rust. If you're out of the playoff race by the deadline, you're either trying to rebuild with just one big 1st round pick every year, or one of those guys has to be sold. And with the way salaries are inflating right now plus the tightening up of cap loopholes, veterans with term are going to be the big targets going forward.

And once even one of those two is gone, you're kind of left with only tankathon.
