Chicago Cubs vs Pittsburgh Pirates (09-16-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets

[Music] So we got 953 954 the show’s darling Kenny’s boy here Kade Horton and the Cubs at plus 118 got Paul Skins and the Pirates minus 130 total of seven juice to the under at minus 120. Corbin we got you back here. Uh I’m going to go ahead and take the Kate Horton ladders here. 5K is even money. 6K is plus 192. We know he’s got the upside to get there. Sometimes he does struggle to get the strikeout props. There’s no doubt about that here. But we got a Cubs team securely in the playoffs. I guess an outside shot here to catch Milwaukee for the division. Uh but you know, you got Horton pitching here for rookie of the year. I like the Horton strikeouts here. Uh good skins is at eight stayed away. We’ve seen the Cubs actually be pretty good against skins this year. Skins has sort of struggled against this lineup. GBY, what do you think here Cubs Pirates? We have Corby. Oh, we don’t have Corby. We’ve lost uh we have lost Corby. Bdub, let’s start with you then here, Skins. Horton, what do we think? Because we have seen, like I said, Ski struggle a little bit against this Cubs lineup. Uh Horton’s been pretty good. Rookie of the year could see we got a low total here with juice to that under seven. So, what do we think here, Cubs Pirates? Well, the first thing is is I have to go up against that angle. It wasn’t angled. It’s a trend that I said yesterday. The Pirates 20-6 on Monday, but they were like 13 and 34 on a Tuesday. So, I have to go against that, but I don’t really care here. Uh, the skins, to me, the skins Horton comparison. There’s no comparison, Kyle. You look at skins, he’s the 92nd percentile location. Plus, you look at BBK, which is a number I love. Uh, skins.14 last 17 median versus Horton’s. 40, which Kyle, that’s worse than average. And if you look at the the base winner erra on my website, uh Cade Horton, 4.32 expected ERA, and that goes on strikeout percentage, walk percentage, and ground ball rate. Well, you say strikeout percentage. Well, where is he at? He’s 9% worse than average. I can’t see how anybody could play a strikeout prop here. Just kidding, Kyle. You can do whatever you want. You’re the show’s host. But, uh, you have skins at 2.81, 81 uh base winner erra and uh I I think it should be priced uh to about minus 180 on the first five. Still got to lay a little bit minus 157 but that’s why I put it in a parlay Kyle. First leg of the base winner parlay. Uh Pittsburgh first five. Pittsburgh first five. What do you think here Corby’s going to back sk first five. I’ve got the Horton strikeouts here which sometimes can be a challenge. Luckily it’s this Pirates lineup which you know is beatable. What do you think here? Cubs Pirates. Yeah, I I’ve got a lot of thoughts here. First off, um agree there’s no there’s no competition between Skins and Horton. Skins is unbelievable. Of course, um Kate Horton obviously rooting for him. Kenny’s got uh just a ridiculous amount of money. Called me the other day and he’s like, I think I want to go all in on this. I like relax. And he did it. So now I’m the biggest kid you’ll meet. And um yeah, I mean I mean it’s minus 150 now. He got 27 to1. I think he got plus 120. So, he’s doing fine. But, um, yeah, I I ended up betting the over hits, over total hits in this game. I just got a really good number. It was like 14 and a half plus 120. So, a really good number. It’s a game where um, Paul probably throws no hitter and I lose my heads. Bigger issue I have, forget baseball, my computer, we we can’t even make a streaming service in 202. Listen, we got a guy to the moon and we could stream from the moon allegedly. And I allegedly and I and I can’t even disconnect my headset during the middle of a like what are we doing here? Uh that’s first. Zoom is poo and it can it can rot in hell. Second, uh I saw in the chat somebody referenced my U-Haul. We when I was gone talking about my U-Haul. Uh it is nice. This time I don’t have a box truck. I have the actual pickup truck and it’s got Apple CarPlay. So, I’m living I’m living in luxury. Also, I’ve I’ve never drove a a car that’s that big, you know? I’ve got a Corvette. So, u it was pretty nice. I was at Chick-fil-A this morning. I was like looking down at the lady like kind of feel like a like I could just hit a curb if I want to. So, it’s pretty fun. I’m having a good time with it. Um maybe they’ll just never return my Corvette because I still haven’t heard it still hasn’t even been diagnosed. It’s just sitting in the yard. Uh and they’re not even checking it. So, maybe I’m just the U-Haul guy now. Bub Corby Craig, the young man who will put $20,000 on the music order of the Super Bowl but will not rent a car. He insists on getting the U-Haul. What do you think? Well, you know what? I don’t blame words. Yeah. At some point at some point, you know, you say, “Yeah, I have the money to do it, but I don’t want to do it because they they really squeeze you.” Hell, I got gouged when we went to Montana. I got g and I was thinking because I’m going to go back up there uh probably in a couple months. I was thinking, you know, maybe I’ll I’ll do the the U-Haul thing. I’m I’m really Corby, what what was it? What’s the difference in price in like a week? It’s like a weekly rage. It depends how much you drive miles. It’s $19 a day base runner and 99 cents a mile. So, I don’t drive much. I go to the gym, Chick-fil-A, and back. That’s it. So, it’s it’s not it’s a no-brainer for me. I think um I priced out a rental for a week. It was like $620. Uh-oh was 146. Not even Say that again. 19 a day. And so if you do 10 miles, that’s an extra what? 10 bucks. So that’s good. That’s not a bad price. That’s what uh 210 per week as opposed to 600. Yeah, that’s a no-brainer. Yeah. So fellas, the wheels are turning in here. And I’m looking at the standings right now. And today’s kind of a big day baseball-wise. The Colorado Rockies run differential right now is -397. So we are three runs away from that being at 400. And now I’m wondering when we do this, we were talking about renting the RV, but I I don’t know if that’s up Corby’s alley. What if we just get the big 30foot U-Haul and we’re just streaming from the back of a U-Haul Bubs, right? I would I would be lying if I said I didn’t already think about this. Uh the issue is there are there there’s mileage. It’s um it’s a negligibly it’s not worth it. I mean, it’s like it would save you like 20 20 bucks over the trip and to have an RV that’s comfy is way better than 20 bucks. So, no become cruise cruise America. I love it. And I think we should I I also think we should get a wrap on the on the thing. The Bet US MLB show. We’re not going to go through any cities. We’re not going to go through any cities.
