I can't see how he's ranked behind McCarthy on NEFLO. That just can't be right. McCarthy has had one good quarter this season. He's ranked almost dead last in every other statistical category. Something ain't right there.

On RBSDM, he's in the middle of the pack, which is more reflective of his QBR and rating.

  1. He’s better than about 10 starting QB’s rn, and trending up. Hes fixed a lot of his issues. He still struggles with ball placement, so hopefully he can keep building with the receivers.

  2. I think I’ve been most impressed with his decision making and pocket presence. Def not the most accurate just yet but that’s improving. But he’s made 2 throws I can remember that were just bad decisions. Besides that he’s been finding the right guy. He also works the pocket well when it doesn’t just collapse on him from all sides. I think the most important thing is that he’s consistently improving. Hopefully it continues.

  3. Kid hasn’t even played a full season yet. Haven’t gotten done just yet, but he’s showed progress, every issue he has is fixable and comes with experience. We’re seeing in real time the downside of expecting a young QB to be everything we need so soon. IDK if he’ll be the guy long term but I wouldn’t mind if he was the starter next season as well.

  4. His major problem is ball placement, which is far from some intangible problem that many other “bad” quarterbacks have. If he can vary his velocity better and get better with timing, he can become very dangerous.
