I bought two tickets in 134 for 802.50 and went to check the prices today in general public as I need to unfortunately sell mine. The section two over are 377.50 for general public. I am a 10 game season ticket holder and I’ll understand half season had about the same pricing.

Normally I have nothing but great things to say about the organization but I can’t understand this and wonder what recourse I have. Pretty much no one will buy at this price so I’ll take a heavy loss. Highest ticket I saw today was 682.50 in 236.

  1. I will say the Lightning have no affiliation with this game as far as the price of the tickets, how they were distributed, etc. Everything for this event is being coordinated by the NHL directly.

  2. The game seemed like it’d be really cool to attend when announced, but the STM pricing told me no. Now it’s a joke, I still won’t go even though tickets are half off

  3. I called this early on and some people called me an idiot… to be fair, this could be a ticketmaster problem, they do this a lot with concerts. They will often charge a higher rate during presale because they know the diehard fans will want to buy up the tickets no matter what the cost is. This artificially inflates the price. Sometimes it works out in their favor and the demand causes the prices to increase when they hit the general public. But other times like this, it doesn’t but they don’t care because they already made enough money from the presale.

  4. This is nonsense.. I’m seeing tickets for way cheaper than that in the 200’s. Like mid $300’s, which is close to STM pricing…. Do better research.

Even that section you listed I’m seeing tickets for $425.. and just 2 sections over in the mid $200’s…

EDIT* I’m an idiot and don’t know how to read, please disregard my stupidity

  5. I’m a die hard distant thunder lightning fan and willing to spend a lot of money to see the team play… I was stoked about this game last year but as ticket sales happened and I thought about it more.., I just don’t think I’d enjoy being so far away from the action.

  6. They’re out of their minds with these prices, and the people who will get screwed the most are the loyal fans who bought early.

These prices will completely bottom out come game week, or there’s gonna be a 1/4 empty stadium for them to broadcast

  7. I went to the outdoor game in Nashville a few years back and the prices werent nearly as insane. I planned on going to this one, but I can’t justify these prices, especially at the high 300 levels. I’d much rather just go to a few home games rather than budget for one outdoor game that may be a shit show

  8. I made a post about this a week or so back. As a half season ticket member, I bought tickets in presale #2. The tickets I chose in the 200 club level were presale tickets and not resale. I paid about $100 more per ticket in the presale #2 (only for half season STM or higher) than the prices I saw, in the same section, same row, for presale #34, (a presale for anyone that would give their email address to the NHL for news, marketing and promotional emails) It sickens me that for a pair of tickets as an STM of the home team, I’m paying $200 more than someone who just provided an email address to enter a sweepstakes a year ago.

I haven’t brought myself to even look at what the general public prices are because I know it will only further frustrate me and there is no unringing this bell of popping on higher priced tickets. I have the tickets I wanted and I’m going to have fun, but this really cuts deep.

Just wait until they release the parking prices. I’m going to cringe when I have to swallow that horse pill of a parking fee. Which will probably include a $22 Ticketmaster fee. SMH.

  9. Others have said this but just to reiterate, this is a function of dynamic pricing, which is a combo of a Ticketmaster thing and an NHL allowing it thing.

As others mentioned, not a Lightning thing or choice.

Dynamic pricing is terrible for consumers for events like this unfortunately

  10. Most people seem to be missing out that these are also wheelchair seats.

Idk if Covid messed up the seating, but I had accidentally reserved these for the 2020 Cup celebration and was forced to stand since there weren’t actually enough actual seats for everyone. Thankfully there were a lot of people that made the same mistake, so I wasn’t the only a-hole who took one of the handicapped seats.

  11. I’m also a 10-game BFL member. Ticketmaster dynamic pricing (and associated fees), enabled by the NHL, was so ridiculous during my presale window that I passed entirely. Seems like that was the right move.
