Just like they did for the overtime playoff game rules, the NFL seems to always fix problems AFTER the Chiefs get screwed over.

  1. Tom Brady sat in the booth on the most watched game of the year and shit all over this play. The same booth then replayed the numerous false starts.

Of course the NFL hit the alarm button. This was egregious.

  2. Alternate headline: “NFL has to tell its officials to follow the rulebook when officiating the tush push.”

  3. I said this in my family football chat a few hours after the Eagles game ended that the league would start conveniently enforcing the rules on the tush push *juuuuust* as soon as Philly was done abusing it to beat the Chiefs. Sure enough, the very next night the refs forced the Chargers to line up properly before they ran their copycat play, and now stories are breaking that the league put officials on notice about it.

But never, ever forget the narrative: the NFL rigs the games in our favor and the Chiefs get all the calls.

  4. They allegedly said sorry we probably should have already been doing that. We cool though?(offers fist bump)
