Giants vs. Dodgers ewers Game Highlights (9/18/25) | MLB Highlights
Postseason push continues against the San Francisco Giants. Although it takes a backseat today with the news of Clayton Kershaw announcing his retirement after 18 major league seasons headed to the Hall of Fame. Three Sai Youngs, 3,000 strikeouts. So many amazing moments throughout his career. Yoshi was good as a rookie. He went seven and two with a three RA. He’s been great in his second year. Nearly unhitable lately though with three consecutive 10 strikeout games. is on the hands and into shadow center. Nookie bets busy for the first two outs of the night. And outside ball four. He’s walked two in a row. Two men on. And here comes Bryce Eldridge, the rookie in his third big league game. Eldridge strikes out swinging. Got him with the curve that fell off the table and gets him around the back two out walks to keep us scoreless going to the bottom of the first. for the Giants on the mound. It’s the ace. Logan Webb 188 in two/3 innings. 206 strikeouts to the tune of a 3-34. Strike three called at the knees with the slider and he got the low strike on that one against Otani. Got him. And that’s beautiful. If you can foul it off one time, I’m going to test it again. See if I can get you to chase again. No way you can do it again. So comes back with the change up. It’ll be Tioscar Hernandez on the docket for the Dodgers in this second inning. Still scoreless against the Giants. The first of four against these rivals. Web’s 3-2 pitch. Swing and a hard smash off the leg of Web. Right over to the shortstop of Thomas. He feels it cleanly and throws out Hernandez at first by Plenty. That ball was smashed right back at him on the ground and hit him on the leg. Maybe the instep of his left foot or maybe even above that, maybe on the ankle of his left leg. 3-2 pitch. Swing and a miss. He struck it out with a sinker that ran in under the hands. Three up, three down, three strikeouts. Here’s Devers with one out and nobody on Two to De. Got him this time. The ball doesn’t lie. This at back. Yamamoto’s got his second K. Yamamoto has built up so much respect now around the league. Chops one among a third. Picks it off the ground. Sets and throws to Freeman. And Yamamoto puts the Giants down in order. One, two, three, and third. Ground ball. Base hit to right field. And Rodfett continues to do it for his new team. Down to a knee to do it this time. Back to the top. And Otani. Choi has homered in backto-back games. 51 total. Three shy of his own franchise record. Otani ground ball to second. Schmidt has it to second one. Adamus to first. Got him. Double play. So Otani who hit that booming home run against Web in San Francisco tonight so far a strike out and he’s grounded into a double play. Yamamoto about 24 pitches per inning. The first two just nine in the 1, two, three, third. Giants with their lead off it. And goes down on strikes. Three consecutive splitters to finish him off. There goes Chapman from first. Throw from Ward is right there. Tag down. He’s out. Ben Rovet putting his stamp all over this game and continuing to make an impression on his new team. Get strike three swinging. Put a split finger by him and Yamamoto strands the walk. He’s got the splitter working now. He started out two for eight as far as strikes with the splitter, but the last eight, seven for eight for strikes. 89 and one for the Giants in this fifth. The 2-2 to Patrick Bailey is a fast ball and like a house by the side of the road, he takes it. Trike three on a two- two pitch. Debor strikes out swinging again. A splitter in the dirt and Yamamoto with bookending Ks to finish a fifth scoreless inning. It hasn’t been pretty, but he has put up zeros. We mentioned Dylan Ce’s stretch last year of three consecutive dominant starts. That is the only time in the last 125 years that a guy has made three consecutive starts of six plus innings, zero or one run and only one hit. That said, it’s his sixth walk, careerhigh. He goes, pitches high. There’s the throw. It’s into center field. That would have been close. Yeah, I feel like they would have had him if he if he’s able to pick it, but it’s it’s easier said than done with Adamus being right there. It was bang bang. struck him out with a hammer of a curveball. That’ll be it for Yamamoto. Found away tonight. Put up zeros and the bullpen will try and keep it right there. So, runner at first for Otani. He hits a drive deep to right over his head and off the base of the wall. Rovet stopped at third. A blur of a double from Show Otani. And the Dodgers in business for the first time tonight. Now Mookie Betts runners at second and third. uh grounded to the left side of the drawn in infield. Coming home is Worth at the plate at the plate. The ball skips away from Patrick Bailey and Worbit is safe. The Dodgers have the lead. It was a ground ball to the short staff Willie Adamis. Worfit was running on contact. The throw got to Bailey in time, but the ball could not stay in his glove. Dodgers looking for more. Freddy Freeman’s the hitter. Grounds one up to middle and three. Base hit center field. Otani will score anyways. throw to third. Not close to in time. RBI single Freddy Freeman. Two to nothing. Two outs into Oscar. Swinging a hard ground ball into the hole at short. It’s grabbed on a backhand with a dive by Adamos. A two hop throw to first in time to get it. Willie Adamus saving a run with that play and the inning is over. Third walk of the inning. Ninth walk of the game drawn by the Giants. Just amazing. And now Rafy Devers comes up. Giants are waiting for kind of a signature Rafi Des moment. He walked. That’s a good at bat. That’s an incredible at bat. That pitch was up but little bit cumulative. A night of frustrations with the home plate umpire Ryan Wills. 32 pitch to Adamus. Strike three called. He got the call this time. Adamus was headed to first and he can’t believe it. Here we go. A ball and two strikes the pitch. Swing and a miss. Strike three. The Dodgers walked them loaded. Walked in a run, but Blake Trinan leaves them loaded after backto back strikeouts. Well, it’s two to one and Web goes back out. Conforto is 0 for two. Now a swing and a miss by Conorto. Strike three. Logan Webb only his fifth strike out. Logan’s pitched real well tonight. Ready to go again. Two and two. Rojos kind of flips one to left and Ramos racing in will make the catch on the run. Nice finish. Likely finish to the night for Logan Webb. 102 pitches, seven strong here in LA. Vasison looking for his fifth save which would match last year’s careerhigh. 64th appearance batting average you see there at 182. And strikes him out. One gone in the nine. Oh, two pitch John. Nothing but hard stuff. The Giants are down to their last out. And that leaves it to Elliot Ramos. Now the Giants are down two to one. But now the Giants are down to their last out. Ripped to left center field. Cole is there. That’s the game. The most effectively wild game in a half century. It’s the first time in 48 years that a team issues 10 walks but gives up just one hit. Alex Vessia goes one, two, three in the ninth inning and the Dodgers take the first of four from the Giants by a final of two to one. The staff is carrying them right now. They’ve allowed one run and four hits in their last 18 innings.

dodgers ewers.
Ah yes the dodgers ewers 😂
The home plate umpire, RYAN WILLS, did everything he could to have Dodgers defeated tonight. What a RACIST & BIGOT. That racist, RYAN WILLS, squeezed Yamamoto many times tonight as well. CAN'T WAIT TILL ABS SYSTEM IS FULLY IMPLEMENTED.
Rortvedt is that guy.
Tomorrow’s game is on apple tv. 😡
Treinen almost coughing up another lead. Dude can't find the strike zone to save his life.
I wonder how many baseball writers don't think Kershaw is a "first ballot hall of famer"
Guy editing videos looking for new job tomorrow 😂
The sum total of the Giants offense: 4 consecutive walks – definitely NOT playoff material!
Clayton held his retirement press conference today.
Dodgers won a game they couldn't afford to lose😆
I haven't seen a rookie break onto the scene like Rortvedt since Bellinger. I miss Bellinger.

So annoying we now have a losing record again & we keep on struggling! Time for us to stop losing & Ray needs to earn it tomorrow 9/19. Stop losing & please get a win since we’re now 3.0 games behind the wildcard!
I was so happy Kershaw/the Dodgers could FINALLY get over the world series hump before he retired.
Rortverdt is the man!
Well a Win is a Win…💪😎
