San Francisco Giants vs Los Angeles Dodgers – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 18, 2025 MLB Season
All right, John. And this postseason push continues against the San Francisco Giants. Although it takes a backseat today with the news of Clayton Kershaw announcing his retirement after 18 major league seasons headed to the Hall of Fame. Three Sai Youngs, 3,000 strikeouts. So many amazing moments throughout his career. And so tomorrow will be the 228th and final time in the regular season that he pitches at Dodger Stadium. Elliot Ramos to lead things off. Yamamoto winds and throws and off we go with a fast ball to 97 strike one. The Giants actually hit him hard when they faced him here in June. To short and bats on one bounce, one out. Yamamoto’s 1-1 is on the hands and into the shallow center. Mookie Betts busy for the first two outs of the night to see their bullpen and make them work. Eighth pitch is a curve to finish off Eldridge and get out of this inning unscathed. The issues two walks but no damage to the bottom of the first. Two- two pitch, two strike pitch right here. Bottom of the zone for strike three. Got the call on the sweeper to retire Otani. Muny healthy. Strike out for Web, his second. Get Will Smith back. One, two, grounded his second. Schmidt to first. All of us to the second. 3-2. Broke his bat. Man, he might not have any left by the time the night’s over. Muny to get Schmidt. And now Gilbert pops it up. Muny is there. No score. Middle two. Hernandez leading off the second. Stroking one that ricochets off Web right to Adamus. 163. Looked like a game of pinball there directly to a run yesterday. Another 3-2. And this time Webb gets some swinging. So one, two, three, second for Web. No score to the third. Two strike hitter also with the power of late. grounds this one to second. Schmidt will gun it to second one and Donis to first double play. No score after three. There goes Chapman from first. Throw from Ward is right there. Tag down. He’s out. Ben Ro the play well done out there at second for Miggy on the tag. Strong throw one bounce. Get it in the leather. Put it down and he is out. [Music] tag on the shoulder before the hand gets to the bag to get back and you’re on board. That’s subconscious. You’ve got to consciously get rid of what’s the body wants to do. Chapman races over to catch it. The one two toer big bounce left side. Chapman throws on the move and gets him. That Chapman one of the best bouncing ball to short. Adamus some kind of a funky hop there. Wide throw, but the tag is there from Devils. Zero0 game. Five innings in the books. Dodgers taking a look here to make sure the Devils did get this. Thomas taking a good lead here. He runs. Throw from Rofett is under the glove of Rojos. Is going to be close if he caught it. Another 2-2 from Yamamoto to Chapman. Struck him out with a hammer of a curveball. Driers 2-2 line drive right field right at Hernandez. Two out. Been a couple of those. Payoff. Got him with a fast ball. Jack Dryer strands the runner at second. preserves the scoreless line for Yamamoto. Keeps this a nothing nothing game. Oh, for two today. Hits a drive deep to right over his head and off the base of the wall. Rovet stopped at third. A blur of a double from Show Otani. And the Dodgers in business for the first time tonight. On a two- pitch, Betts bounces one left side. Adamus coming home. Play at the plate. He dropped the ball. We’re fits in to score. The game’s first played. It’s over in the left hand batters box. And now Bailey has to reach across and backhand it and then bring the tag in. Maybe squeeze it a little earlier or maybe gets it a clank off the edge of the catcher’s glove. Yeah, it hits squarely and he just doesn’t get it to stick there in plenty of time, but it is out before the tag gets applied. But the defense for the Giants has not been good. One- nothing bottom of the sixth. Freeman grounds one up the middle and through. Base hit center field. Otani will score anyways. Throw to third. Not close to in time. RBI single. Freddy Freeman. Two to nothing LA. Another one. Two from Web. Muny off balance. Pops it up. Shadow left field. Ramos is called the catch. [Applause] Smack through the left side. Diving stop. Adamus springs to his feet and throws him out. Willie Adamus with as impressive a play as you’ll ever see. They were 27 and 82 when he was traded to the Dodgers. He walks a leadoff man. The one-1 pitch. It’s a wild one. Yeah, there’s just too much effort in that pitch and that means the mechanics are flying apart. The two- two got him. Got a little help there on a pitch that was up. Walk the bases loaded. Nine of them tonight. Payoff pitch. Ball four 2-1. [Applause] That pitch was up but little bit cumulative. A night of frustrations with the home plate umpire Ryan Wills. First off [Applause] they can try and earn it. 32 pitch to Adamus. Strike three called. He got the call. This time it was a ball forever until it leaked and bent to the corner and does catch the corner and does that close. Thank you. Says try the one two. Get him. Somehow Trinan’s out of the jam with the lead intact. Righty from Rockland, California. Home of the 2-2 to get his old friend off the bottom of the order. Fly to right center field. Jung Hu Lee converges with Gilbert who makes the call on the catch. Dug out lifted to left field. Ramos is there. Web finishes his night with a 1237. Got him with a fast ball. Two gone in the eighth. Ground ball to second. Off of the hands. Anthony Bundo with a 1238. Lucasey to Otani with a 1-1. Slice to left center field over Lee Zad off the wall. Otani to second with his second double of the night. Lucasey shakes a couple times, has on the delights, delivers belts, pops it up, shallow center field. Lee comes on to put it away. Freeman on one. Grounds one through the middle. Adamus will throw him out. Fasten those seat belts. To the ninth inning we go. Alex Vessia comes on to try and lock down a 2-1 win. He does and strikes him out. One gone in the nine. [Applause] Oh, two pitch. Got him. Nothing but hard stuff. The Giants are down to their last out. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] The 01 ripped to left center field. Cole is there. That’s the game. The most effectively wild game in a half century. It’s the first time in 48 years that a team issues 10 walks but gives up just one hit. Alex Vessia goes one, two, three in the ninth inning and the Dodgers take the first of four from the Giants by a final of two to

Vesia's reaction after getting 2 outs ๐๐๐
If Yamamoto doesn't leave the court, the Dodgers can't score
Now let's be fair …..
The Giants did get ONE hit. Bravo, bravo Giants fans. ONE hit in 9 innings, what a joke of a team.
Just making it to the playoffs is a win!

I was very sorry to hear on the nightly news today that Clayton Kershaw is retiring at the end of this season. I was saddened because he is having another fantastic year. I recently figured that if he pitched up until the age that Randy Johnson did and won as many games as he did between age 38 to 45 he would retire with approximately 340 wins! So needless to say it was quite the surprise that he is not going to chase that other coveted pitcher's mark, namely 300+ career wins.๐ But good luck to him because he is really great guy and of course a truly great pitcher.
What is the song playing in the stadium after Mookie brings in Rortvedt? 4:50
Fire Dave Roberts
Yamamoto just canโt get a damn win

What a relief Dodgers have a relief now. So tired of Scott, so happy Vesia is back.
i love vesia's energy every time he strikes out a batter lol
Nice work trienen. That was tuff
MELVIN: Having Eldridge bat 5th in the lineup and 3rd last night have been a huge mistake. He's one of the youngest players in the league and it's too much pressure when he's so new, no matter how great he's been doing in the minors. These games are MUST WINS as we fight for a WC spot. Let the man get his bearings before putting him in these must-produce situaitons
Giants season is over

The pitchers after yama were so terrible
What's the name of dodgers catcher??
Dodgers is lucky Giants didn't call in their best player, Scott. Or else Giants would've won.
7th …YAMAMOTO: OMG again…
Can we talk about how good the homie Rotverdt is ? Dude is calling great games consistently!
Thatโs how Dodgers Baseball Is played.
LFG!

Let's go Vesia
All season long we know who will be our ace is: Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He was stellar throughout the season and if not for the blown saves from Tanner Scott, bullpen and co., he might have a shot at CY Young(if not for Skenes).
Yoshinobu will obviously be the Game 1 starter, then Kersh or Ohtani, then Glasnow and Snell

Adopt the ABS system~Machine is better than a Judge.
What a play by Adames though. 5:40
So as of now one more Dodgers Victory, or Arizona Loss, and the Dodgers are in the Playoffs!
๐๐๐๐โพ๏ธ๐ใ
Hopefully Clayton Kershaw will pitch the Dodgers into the Playoffs Tomorrow Night as all we need now is one more Dodgers Victory, or An Arizona Diamondbacks Loss, to put the Dodgers into the Playoffs.
Great game dodger blueโฆ go for the another WS championship ringโฆ.go dodger blue, go ohtani Sanโฆ from Okinawa Japan ๐๐๐
Crazy how that strike changes for Dodgers, well Dodgers own the umpires.
Why dont Snell and Ohtani pitch more often? Are they not better than any of the pitchers today?
