Indirectly related to Steelers stuff. But man I can’t wait to see what happens with this suit and the prior one from 2024. Ticketmaster hacks up prices so much it makes it hard for normal folks to afford even the cheap seats.

The Federal Trade Commissiom (FTC) has sued Ticketmaster and their parent corporation Live Nation alleging they mislead consumers and cooperate with scalper to mark up prices and again when scalpers resell on Ticketmaster.

DoJ sued them last year too for an antitrust violation.

    Bullshit when tickets for a sporting event of concerns sell out 2 seconds after they go on sale, then they are all available on ticket master for triple the price

  2. Probably off topic, but it’s good to see. Sadly, these things always take time. Process and all that fun jazz.

  3. 100% illegal tactics. I had tickets to a concert. I couldn’t go. I tried to sell them for face value to break even, and ticketmaster wouldn’t let us. They said we had to raise our price or we couldn’t list them for resale. Plus, they get taxes and fees all over again. We ended up offering them up for free on fb instead. I wish more venues would sell their own tickets instead of going through Ticketmaster/ Live Nation.
