Angels vs. Brewers Game Highlights (9/18/25) | MLB Highlights
It’s a big one tonight. Brewers a chance to lower their magic number to clinch the division to at least five and lower their magic number to clinch the number one seed in the National League playoffs to six. Quinn Prester, he is looking for the team to win his 19th consecutive game of Pear. Swinging and a miss. And he strikes out Chris Taylor to open up the game. And there’s one away for Mike Trout who is 0 for seven in this series hitting 227 on the year. Still in search of home run number 400. Swing and a foul held on to by Contraras. Backto back Ks for Priest. There’s two away for Taylor Ward and brings home the pitch and he went. They appeal to first. He sure did says Mike Molinsky. And Quinn Pier the mighty Quinn strikes out this side. The Angels will be sending to the mound. You say Kikuchi. Pitching on the road has definitely been a problem for Kikuchi this season though. He has made 16 road starts this year. Just one and eight away from the big A and he gets strike three called on an extended outside corner to put away Cheurio. Bruce Dreman rang him up but he got a break on that back door curve ball. Here’s Bryce Tang and that’s ball four. So Terra draws a one out walk. Runner at first and two away. Here’s Christian Yelich hitting cleanup tonight. Three for eight in this series, including a home run. He’s driven in three. Little tapper on the right side. It’s fielded there by Moore and he flips the ball out of his glove over to Guzman covering second and they get the out. No score as we go to the top of the second inning. Quinn Pier back out there on the mound for the crew and Joe Adell to lead things off for the Angels. Got him. Four straight strikeouts for Quinn Pester. Strikeout of Adele. And now here’s Luis Renifo and a swing and a miss. He struck him out. Cutter at 95. He struck out five straight batters to open up this ball game. But he’s off to a great start against a team that strikes out a ton. They lead all the baseball in strikeouts. And a cold third strike right down the middle of the sinker. Six batters, six strikeouts. Come all without, come all within. You’ll not see nothing like the mighty Quinn. How about six up, six strikeouts to begin the night for Quinn Prester. There’s a popup. A ball in play for the Angels. It’s Bryce Terang who goes back and makes the catch that ends the streak of consecutive strikeouts. Not only a ball in play, but a ball in the air. One-two pitch. Swing and a miss. Got him with a slider down and away. Bounced in there. How about seven strikeouts in eight batters faced to begin the night for Queen of Brister. got him looking as electric first three innings as we’ve seen all year from a Brewer. Nine up, nine down, eight punch outs for Quinn Brewster. First hit of the game belongs to Joey Ortiz. Lead off single one hopper right to Guzman flips it to Moore over to first. It’s a double play. The two out single for Bryce brings up William Contraras. Grounds one to Guzman. He feels it and his throw in plenty of time and the inning is over. Quinn Prester back to work after three straight one, two, three flawless innings on the ground to third. That’s a fair ball. Durban got to get rid of it all the way there and gets Taylor. Well done. Had to get rid of it quickly and able to get there and plenty of time to get Taylor by half a step. Ground ball off of Pster. Deflects over to Terra. Two ground outs in the inning. Here’s Taylor Ward swinging and a miss. How about nine of them in four perfect innings for Mighty Quinn. Here comes Andrew Vaughn. First pitch in the air into right. Coming on in is Joe Adele. Still coming towards the line. He won’t reach it. It bounces for a hit. Playing it off the sidewall as Adele trying for second. Vaughn and the throw is wide. A bloop double by Vaughn. Two down and now Vaughn taking third on the play. First run of the night is 90 ft away with two gone and Caleb Durban coming up. Durban on the ground. Third. Tough play. Guzman across the diamond. Three. Brewers score first on an infield hit by Durban. The ground ball deep into that hole. The 21-year-old shortstop did everything he could for the Angels. Backhand. An offbalance throw. He bounced it and it was just a hair late. 12 up, 12 down for Quinn Preer. One- nothing Milwaukee. This is the fifth game in a row in which a starter has had at least nine strikeouts against the Angels. and he walks Joe Adele. First base runner of the game for the Angels. It’s a leadoff walk in the fifth. Brings up Luis Renifo. Struck out his first time as Renifo lifts one toward the gap in right center field. Hit pretty well. It’s deep toward the wall and it’s gone. The Angels get their first hit tonight and it gives them the lead. Luis Reno with a two-run homer. Makes it two to one. And that is one of the most unlikely outcomes you ever would have thought with the way this game has been going. His ninth home run of the season. And just like that, before he can blink, the Angels have the lead. And there’s two outs for Bryce Durant. And there’s a swing and a miss at a one, two pitch. That was a good slider. And Kikuchi sets him down. One, two, three. Two to one Angels as we go to the sixth inning here at American Family Field. Chris Taylor to lead things off for the Angels. Call third strike. 10ks for Quinn Fester. Yeah. One away from China season high. The Angels a couple of one-out hits here in the sixth inning from Trout and Ward. Powerful hitter and Joe Adele coming to the plate with runners at first and second. Fly ball into right. Cheerio’s got a beat on it. Trout is tagging. Churio makes the catch, the throw, and a bluff by Trout. So that’s a big second out and that’s going to be it for Quinn. And Aaron Ashby will come in to face Renipo. Kicks and delivers the O2 and he got him looking. Curve ball caught the lower outside corner and Ashby makes very quick work of Luis Renhifo. Single and a walk with one out to bring up Isaac Collins. Just two for 12 on this home stand. Breaking ball is flipped toward first. Barza backs up, makes the catch in foul ground. Ray Montgomery will go to the mound here. The rest of this one will be in the hands of the bullpen. Jose Firmine takes over on the mound. So here’s Durban who has not been retired tonight. He’s walked and has an RBI single. And that one’s into left center of base hit. This game’s going to be tied. Yell scores. It’s two to two. Caleb clutch does it again. He has driven in both runs for the Brewers here tonight. This rookie delivers in the big moments every single time. And the bases are loaded for guess who? Joey Ortiz. If the bases are loaded, you can pretty much count on Joey Ortiz coming to the plate. Here’s the two- two pitch and a pop up on the right side of the infield. This one in play for PZA right near the bag. Makes the catch in fair territory and the inning is over. Brewers will leave them loaded. It’s a double steel more to third and Rivero takes second. And here comes Chris Taylor to the plate for thus far the most important at bat of the game. And Taylor to left center. Perkins will run it down with a slide. Blake Perkins. He saved two runs with an incredible catch. Let’s see if the Brewers in the top of the order can get to Luis Garcia out on the mound. That’s to center. Taylor going back. Taylor still back. It’s over his head and over the wall. It’s an automatic double for Chio to begin the bottom of the seventh in a two to2 game. Go ahead run at second. Nobody out. Bryce Terang center and down. Turio will score. Terra digging for two. He’s there and the Brewers have the lead. Backto back knocks to Greet Garcia. It’s three to2 Milwaukee in the seventh. And that’s ball four. So it’s two on, nobody out. And here comes Christian Yelich with runners on at first and second. Nobody out. Yelich left field. It is deep and it is down off the wall. Terra scores. It’s an RBI double for Yelich. Number 100 for Christian Yelich on the season. The Brewers lead it four-2 in the seventh inning and there’s still nobody out to left. Not deep. Contrarus back to third. Ward’s got it. Tagging. He’s going to score. A sacrifice fly by Vaughn. Plates the third run of the inning. Brewers lead it 5 to2. Uree enters 5 to2. The crew to take us home. So now runners on the corners and the tying run coming to the plate for the Angels here in Luis Renhifo swinging in the miss. He got him two away and now Monata is going to pinch hit. Abner trying to put up a zero despite having to work a little bit of a highwire act here in the eighth. But a chance to get out of it if he can take care of Monata right here. The two two pitch swinging a miss. He struck him out. Never in doubt for Abner Urebe. Brewers with a chance to lower their magic number to four with three outs here from Jared Kanik. So it’ll be extra bases for more as he motors into second with a leadoff double. This one is lifted in the air to right. This is playable for Jackson Cheerio. Barely has to move right in his tracks. Makes the catch. Big first out for Jared Kanikan. Keeps that tying run in the on deck circle. Got him. Two away. Brewers an out away from sweeping the Angels and winning their 94th game of 2025. Fly ball center field. Blake Perkins calling for it, camping underneath of it, squeezing it. And the Brewers have swept the Angels and won their 94th game of the year with a 5-2 comeback victory here tonight. [Applause]

Priest was on tonight. Go brewers!
We NEEDED this sweep Brew Crew. DO IT FOR UKE!!!
Iβll say it again! Weβre on a Mission from God! Confidence is high, I repeat CONFIDENCE IS HIGH !
Silky smooth does it again in center field! Letβs go Perk! #16
Clean sweep of the Halos plus a loss for the Scrubs. Sure a good night to be a Brewers fan. ππβΎοΈπ
The World Series (imo) today will be Brewers vs Phillies πππππ What a hell of Series my God!!! π π π
Great win! Go Brewers!
100 wins is not impossible!
Remember when everyone ridiculed the Brewers for what they gave up for Priester?
7:53 ball 4???? That was down the fucking middle
Koenig looks like a closer looked like back in the day. Big, intimidating, lots of heat. Uribe is pure magic. Starters are back on track.
Fielding is top notch. All nine positions look like gold glove winners.
Pat Murphy has them playing pure baseball, as it was before the DH. All the skills from the long ball, to place hitting, to advancing the runner, to bunting. All the strategy we want and miss from the old days of the NL.
Murphy even looks like the manager commentators dream of wanting to interview. His persona is unmatched.
Baseball might be boring to many, but the Brewers represent the purity of America's Game.
They deserve the Championship. Need to create a dynasty. It will be good for baseball.
Priester, good lord. This kid has been unbelievable.
The Crew are 2nd in runs scored, 2nd in fewest allowed. That is crazy.
6 away from 100 wins!
Blake in center field is perfect… that guy is unreal.
Can't wait to see Gasser added to this staff for October!!!!π
Mariners v Brewers World Series.
Brewers in the outfield! π
EZZ SWEEP BOYS KEEP IT UP π BRING OUT THE BROOMS π§Ή
Angels gunning for the all time K record.
Go Brewers win the world series
Another impressive win and sweep. 9 more guys lets continue to play your type of ball. Run, hit, field and have fun.
Contreras needs to run his fat ass down the line
Christian Yelich's season has been phenomenal! 100 Runs Batted In! Quinn Priester seems to ALWAYS keep the Brewers in the game and he has ALL YEAR! Our defense has been exceptional. A few miscues on occasion but they always seem to overcome it. This team has been the most exciting, amazing, and FUN EXPERIENCE I've ever had watching baseball!!βΎοΈπ Sal Frelick, Brice Turang remind me so much of Paul Molitor and Robin Yount. They all have such great hitting skills. Patience, and determination and they ALL can spray the ball anywhere in the field. Pure hitters! Caleb Durbin has been growing into a heck of a player. Joey Ortiz? His defensive skills are flat out mind blowing! This has been such a special year!
Taking care of business. This a team that can win it all!!
HOW AND WHY is the stadium so empty? This team is incredible! NOTHING like this other than 1982 has been so successful. The Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder years were pretty darn good too, but COME ON! I realize the Brewers Owner is the cheapest putz around but SUPPORT THE PLAYERS!
Again WHY ISN'T Andrew Vaughn playing every day or at least more than he has been. I realized that Jake Bauers was on a π₯hotπ₯streakπ₯, but Andrew Vaughn has been such a huge factor in the Brewers winning streaks and runs. I'm sorry, but when you see a player like him who's been playing at such a high level I have a hard time understanding why he's on the bench 2, 3, 4 days straight. Not counting a pinch hit AB.
World series for the uke
6-3 to go 100 LET'S GO BREW CREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Brewers!!!
If they can go 6-3 over the last 9 games, they'll finish 100-62. The FIRST Brewers team to win 100 games ever! There's been so many firsts this year, let's hope and pray that they can not only win their Division, but also get the NUMBER One Seed in the Playoffs! And lastly Let's Hope and Pray that this Brewers team is the First Brewers team to win a World Series! If there is one sad part of it, it's that Bob Uecker isn't here to call the game. I remember when the Brewers beat the Orioles to win the American League East Division on the last day of the season. Actually a playoff game. Then the Brewers down to ironically the California Angels came back to win the American League Pennant. I can remember hearing the excitement in Bob Uecker's voice! The joy, his happiness, and you could hear just how much Bob Uecker truly loved the Milwaukee Brewers. I really wanted to see Bob Uecker standing with the team on the field after a World Series win. They've come so close. They've had some really exciting years, but they never were able to get there. I am really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY HOPING AND ππPRAYINGππ that this will be THE YEAR!! I know that Bob is looking down on his team. Winning the World Series would be such a special tribute to a great man, a legend, the absolute BEST Broadcaster in Baseball's history, and one of the most dedicated, loyal, and best fans in this team's history!
Take that LA. Get out the brooms and oh how sweep it is. Just 6 wins away from 100. This great ride continues. Let's play strong for the last weekend in September. Let's go Brewers clap clap clap clap clap.
LETS GO BREWERS
Brewers coming up clutch in these high pressure games! Could this finally be the year they get over that hump? That Uke magic is with this team this year.
The Brewers are 9-0 VS LA teams.
GET OUT THE BROOMS, BECAUSE THIS IS A SWEEP.
