Yankees vs. Orioles Game Highlights (9/18/25) | MLB Highlights

It is New York Yankees baseball and tonight Yankees start a four game set here at Camden yards and Then play the Orioles back in New York. So seven games with the Orioles in 10 games. That’s, that’s quite a way to end this season. New York Yankees lead all of baseball in home runs this season. John, they’ve scored 20 runs over the last two games in Minnesota. Gearing up for the postseason. Pavis looking for his first ever victory against him. American League East opponent. 0 to 5/11 career starts against the division. Here’s Paul Goldsmid leading things off for the Yankees in his 15th major league season. 21 from Povich off the glove of the shortstop Henderson into left field. So the leadoff man is on for the Yankees to start this game and it builds a base runner for a guy who very well might be the MVP and aaron Judge and now the 2 to 2 pitch from Povich in for a strike three, he retires judge for the first time in three career at bats. Cody Bellinger having a real bounce back year from the Chicago Cubs thriving at Yankee Stadium and thriving in this lineup. Eighth pitch of the at bat is low and away ball four. So Bellinger will head to first Yankees have two on for Rosario fired in late July from the Washington National 13th game with the Yankees 1 to 1 from Povich and Rosario rips this one into the left field corner coming around to score is Goldschmidt Bellinger around third heading home. Rosario drives in two and the Yankees lead 2 to 0. That is really hard to do. Sit on the bench for a week at a time or whatever and come in and start and produce and he’s done that every single time. Here’s Trent Grisham coming off a fabulous last night, 2 to 4, 33 home runs on the season on the left field backing up o’neal. He’s got room towards the line circles under it and makes the catch good start for the Yankees here in the first inning, they get two runs. Max Fried tied for the major league lead. John with 17 wins on the season. He had a little rough spout like every pitcher does, but he’s right the ship at the right time for Max Fried about 67 pitches. He’s going to there they are, don’t think you can eliminate any of them. He’s on his game. He’s tough to hit right hander’s batch is 236 and left handers, a Paltry 201 part of the reason why Ryan out Castle for the first time in his major league career is hitting out of the leadoff spot Castle down on strikes. What away? Max did not have the perils of travel last night. He left early with two outs here. Connor Henderson fly ball left field short out in foul territory. Cabbie’s 100 makes the catch 1 ft on the track, 1 ft on the grass. Nice inning fine start for Max Fried 123 in the first. It’s two nothing Yankees here in Baltimore under the arms for ball four. This is with a cutter and Jackson on base after a four pitch free pass and now a chance here for Kobe Mayo base it into left field for Bale Jackson moves to second. So the Orioles threatening here in the second innings. Samuel Beso just 21 years of age and he signed an eight year extension. A miss struck him out if it’s down and away from him. That’s a big strikeout number two for Max down here in the second inning. There is a good slider away and after breaking balls, he gets a big strikeout three one from Povich and that’s ball four to judge. So he will head down to first jacks with a one out base runner. Ellinger walked and scored first inning ground ball over the mound. The shortstop Henderson waits for it. He steps on second for one ponda first make that two, a double play and beautifully done by gutter Henderson who fielded that ground ball to the right of second base, beat judge to the back at second and Then beat a Speedy Bellinger with a strong throw to first number nine hitter for Baltimore to begin the bottom of the third. It’s Luis Vasquez getting the start at second base tonight. Vasquez down on strikes one away and Vasquez couldn’t get to it. So one away, here’s Mount Castle zero for one with a punch out. Castle strikes out for the second time. Two away. It is just way better staying behind the ball and having great action on that changeup. The arm action looks like a fastball coming out to the hitter. You got to think that’s a fastball if you’re Mount Castle and Then you’re just so frustrated because you didn’t even come close knowing it was a changeup. Here’s Westburg with two away fly to right back in the first inning. Westbrook is swinging a pitch. Max Fried has struck out the side and four of the last five batters. He’s got a two nothing lead. Anthony Volpe leads off for the Yankees against Cade Povich here in the top of the fifth inning Volpe with a base hit into left center heading for second and he is in and this time he stays in , keeps his shoulders square and Then can reach that pitch away and he makes up his mind right away. He’s going to get the second and makes a great or he’s dead to rights really nice play by the Orioles. Just a better slide. Volpe. See it fair his 17th stolen base of the season and what a job by Volpi using his speed great slide steals third the best time to steal a third base right after a double. I mean, the very last next pitch off pitched to Caballero. The Yankees now have runners on the corners. Volpe and Caballero. The base runners wells at the plate grounded to second his first time up wells with a bloop base hit to right field. Volpe scores easily. Caballero moves to second wells with his 68th run bat of the season and the Yankees lead three to zero. We talk about the slug of the Yankees. Sometimes this works too. You get a pitch inside, get jammed, not on the barrel and just enough over the infield second baseman there and the Yankees are in business with a big chance to put a crooked number 1st and 2nd. Nobody out for Goldschmidt. Here’s Westford to second for one on to first double play. Caballero over to third now two away. So here’s Bellinger grounded into a double play his last time up. Caballero sneaking down the line from third as Bellinger pops it up, anderson has it and that will do it. Yankees get a run on two hits, no errors. Leave a couple. They have a 30 lead max free on top of his game with six strikeouts through four. Really in command. Strikes out. That’s eight strikeouts for Max and he’s retired to side in order. The last three innings. Max Reid is having a heck of a game, I guess he is. He’s throwing a one hitter. Vasquez becomes strikeout victim. Number nine, breaking ball. He’s mixing it up. Well, watch this pitch fall off the table. Looks to the hitter the whole time that’s going to stay up and stay up and in the last minute, no, with one away, here’s Mount Castle who struck out twice tonight and he lines the first pitch from Fried into left field for the Orioles second hit of the evening. Baltimore, the one out base runner, Jordan Westburg, Westburg down on strikes two away. That’s 10 for Fried. We’re seeing the emergence of power and great left handed pitching in the American League anderson, one of two Orioles not struck out tonight. Big chopper up the middle and that’s going to get through. It’s a base hit to right center field, turning second hit for third is Mount Castle. He’ll make it there. So a couple of hits in the inning for Baltimore and they have a rally in the bottom of the 6th, 1st and 3rd with two away and the tying run and Tyler o’neill will come to the plate swing and a miss there is his season high with 11 top of the zone fastball and o’neill is retired. The Os are gone. No runs hits, no 26 in the box mcdermott out of the Orioles pen his fourth appearance missing high once again, back to back walks to Cleo and Wells and now it’s the top of the order goldsmid Caballero and Wells. The base runners for the Yankees down the right field line. Caballero scores Wells holding at third RB I number 44 for Goldschmidt extending the lead to 4 to 0. But look what Goldschmidt is starting to do against righties. It’s not just lefties anymore. You go the opposite way. You shorten your swing goldschmidt eight for his last 20. That’s four 100 runners on the corners for judge. Still nobody out judge with a drive left field catches made by o’neal Wells comes home, sacrifice fly run batted in for judge. It’s now 50, another base runner. It’s the third walk in this inning. Now there’s runners at 1st and 2nd for Carlos Stanton Stanton with a base hit down the left field line around third is Goldstick. He scores around third is Bellinger, he scores and at second is Stanton Yankees lead 7 to 0 as they’ve blown things open with four runs here in the seventh inning when you make a mistake and location and the ball doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. The hitter has the advantage and cutting with the Yankees leading the Orioles 7 to 0. What a night it has been for Max Fried season best 11 strikeouts. Mayo strikes out and Fried matches his career high strikeout. Number 13. He has been on his game that slider down and in tough to hit and bouncing ball up. First base line wells grabs throws, got him nice play 123 go. The Orioles in the seventh. Blackburn will look to finish things off. He pitched a 12 3/8 after freed struck out 13 in seven innings. Jeremiah Jackson walked to the second has struck out twice looking to close things out here. 22 right back to Blackburn and that will do it. The Yankees win the first of four here in Baltimore by a 7 to 0 score max free the 1st 18 game winner in major league baseball this season.

    P. S. Congrats to YANKEES Network with collaboration of the Fox, WBAL 1090AM & 98 Rock 97.9FM and WFAN 660AM & 101.9FM "The Fan" did this amazing video๐ŸคŒ…

  2. Max Fried has been earning every single stripe ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ The guy goes out and gives his best. He knows what on the table. He wants to perform and be great at doing it. He is legandary man donโ€™t I wish Cole was healthy to see them together

  3. I'd rather see them not so obsessed with homeruns and getting hits to keep the pressure on. Eventually, the pitcher is going to make a mistake and out it goes. Volpe is playing better since he's been rested. I had a feeling he wa s injured.

  4. I miss Soto and watching judge and him back to back was like Manny and Ortiz but better but bellinger and fried is so much more impactful it's not even close. They would be screwed w out fried. They gotta keep bellinger. Tucker if they can't but bellinger is a much better fit because if his versatility and speed. Cole Fried Rodon Gil Schmidt with Bellinger back is a must! I need to see that for multiple seasons. Bichette at SS and batting leadoff would be the cherry on top lol. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ
