Chicago Bulls get DISRESPECTED by ESPN in latest Power Rankings! šŸ‚ šŸ”„

Welcome to just another year of Chicago Bulls. My name is Philip Charles Vanderhen the fourth. And on this episode, we’re talking about the haters over at ESPN. That’s right, shocker. ESPN’s hating on another Chicago sports team. But you won’t believe where they ranked the future of the Chicago Bulls amongst the NBA. And we’re going to talk about it on this episode. But first, this is about you, the fans. Who cares what ESPN thinks? If you are excited like I am about the Chicago Bulls and their future, hit that like button, ladies and gentlemen. And what do the Bulls need to do to become championship contenders? Let’s talk about it in the comments below. Well, all right. ESPN disrespects the Bulls. I can’t say that I’m shocked. And if you guys are uh up to date or if you guys have been watching uh ESPN or reading what ESPN puts out for any decent length of time, you shouldn’t be shocked either because these guys love love love to disrespect Chicago sports teams. Now look, I can’t say it’s not justified because we’ve went on a historic losing stretch as a city over the last four years. With that being said though, you should still be able to analyze certain things from an objective point of view and sometimes it just feels like there’s a Chicago tax with these guys and I don’t understand it. Like we’re one of the biggest cities in the world, one of the greatest cities that’s ever existed. Uh we’re a major media market, top three media market. So why why do we get treated this way? uh in their future NBA power rankings using a variety of categories, ESPN decided that we were 28th in the NBA. And it’s our our forecast over the next three seasons. And here, let me show you exactly what they said. In terms of wins, it’s unlikely Chicago will finish this low after posting 40, 39, and 39 wins, respectively, over the past three seasons. Yet few teams have less hope of becoming a a contender than the Bulls who have prioritized competing for the playin over grander ambitions. Chicago has gotten younger transitioning from a Demar de Rozan Zack Lavine core to one led by Kobe White 25 and Josh Giddy 22. The Bulls will have cap flexibility next summer but we don’t trust this organization to maximize that opportunity. Okay, this isn’t objective at all. That last sentence right there tells you all you need to know. This is supposed to be an objective power rankings of where these guys think that we’re going to be or at least somewhat objective, right? But when they say, “Oh, they don’t trust what we’re going to do next summer to maximize that opportunity.” I understand what they’re saying, but but we’ve set oursel up for that. Like, we’ve done everything we’ve done to Acme’s credit. They’ve done what they’ve done to set up 2026 as a very flexible, exciting summer. Whether or not they do anything with that is another story, but they’ve still set it up. So, we should get at least a little bit of credit for that. They have categories over here to the right, okay? And they ranked players 28. And that’s what really, really pisses me off. And I’m just going to go ahead and say that. That’s what really pisses me off, you guys. The money is four. That shows you how good of a a job. Look, you can say what you want about about Arturus Carnosovas. He has managed the cap well leading into a big summer. And then the draft, they have eight, market 12, which is a that that’s disrespectful. That’s just disrespectful. And then the management 27, which is probably the one ranking where I’m like, okay, I I Yeah, that’s that’s fair. Um, you know, the money in the draft I feel good about, too. Um, but players in market are are disgustingly uh I mean market we should be in the top five. We’re a top five market. Uh it’s Chicago Bulls. Probably the most recognized sports logo in the world because of Michael Jordan. And uh yeah, put more respect on our name. And then the the players. The players. Are you kidding me? 28. First of all, I don’t trust any future Chicago Bulls rundown that doesn’t even mention Matas Boozelis. He’s all rookie second team, but it’s not about that. If you actually watch the Bulls, and these guys should be because they’re NBA analysts for ESPN, then they should know that Matas Buselis is the future of the Chicago Bulls. Yes, right now we’re being led by Kobe White and Josh Giddy, but how can you not how can you not even mention Matas Bzelis? That’s a crime. Like, I’m so sick of people that don’t properly break this team down that are supposed to be analysts that are well educated on the National Basketball Association. If you’re going to open your mouth about things that have to do with the NBA, then educate yourself. Don’t talk about the Bulls future without mentioning Matas Bzelis. What is wrong with you? You have to not you have to literally be detached. So to me, what that says is that this these are people that have already checked out on the Bulls. They checked out on the Bulls before last season and they’ve never checked back in. They’ve never actually assessed what’s going on. They don’t know. They have no idea what Matas Buzzel is capable of because if they did, they wouldn’t be ranking our future prospects for our players at 28. Not to mention Julian Phillips is an exciting young piece. Noah Essen an exciting young piece. Um Don Terry is not an exciting young piece, but he is a good defender. Okay, but fine. I’ll I’ll leave him out of it. You know, if you want to say Patrick Williams is a negative there, that’s fine. But you got Kobe White, Josh Giddy, Matas Misellis, Noah Essen, Julian Phillips, those are five players to be excited about. Noah or Isaac Aoro is extremely young and he’s one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and has a good chance at being a top five perimeter defender by the time he’s in his prime when he’s like 27 or 28. Okay. Then you got Kevin Wer, all right, who’s young. I think he’s like 26. Young enough. uh Iodumu who’s a really good player who who who has trade value around the league. So what are we doing here? I just counted eight players. Eight players. Jaylen Smith is young, too, but I’m not I’m not going to include him. I get why he’s not a part of it. Okay. Like what are we doing here ESPN? Like I just named eight players that that would have value on any team in this league. Any team. Julian Phillips included. Look, I know that he hasn’t been consistent, but he’s he fits the profile of a classic 3 and D player who’s at least a valuable role player off the bench. Okay? Like, I don’t understand why our players are so disrespected, but I’m excited to see like we did we not reel off a 15-6 run to end last season. I’m sorry, guys. I’m getting riled up. It’s because it’s it’s it’s gross, man. I’m tired of this. I’m I’m tired of this. The rankings show how little attention is paid by the national media to what’s going on with the Bulls. Period. The future of the Bulls is better than 28th in the NBA. It it it just is. Whether or not it actually happens is a different story, but we’re we do have the players to make something happen. They have the ceilings to make this team good. If Giddy and Bzelis and Kobe White all realize their max potential, this team is a contender in three years. It is because Bzelis, his potential is superstar. Giddy, his potential is the best playmaker in the NBA or at least the top three. You want to throw Luca or and some other guys up there, that’s fine. That’s elite company. Josh Giddy, and I’m not saying that he’s just unbelievable player, whatever. But he again was one of three players that had 500 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists, and a thousand points last season to go with LeBron James and Nicole Joic. So, I I I get that he has to win something for that to matter, but like I I I He still did it. It’s still something that happened. He was still two assists away from a quadruple double. He’s still already tied for second all time in Chicago Bulls history for triple doubles in this franchise. He’s tied with Scottie Pippen for second behind only Michael Jordan. And again, he’s 22. He’s tied for another four seasons. He’s going to be number two. We were 7 and0 when Josh Giddy dropped a triple double last year. So don’t tell me that’s not that that’s not valuable. I’m so I’m I’m irritated right now if you can’t tell. Let’s just get to the question of the day. What grade do you give the starting five of the Chicago Bulls? That was the question of the day in the last episode and this was my favorite response. B minus uh um from this uh commenter on our Facebook and he said uh Giddy Kobe and Bzelis are gonna be great. Thank you. Thank you. Tremendous young core. They just need some bigs young bigs in their rotation and around the same timeline and it’s on. Thank you. Thank you because that is exactly what I’ve been saying and it’s true true true period end of story. And our question of the day today guys is predict Josh Giddy’s averages for the 202526 season. I thought this would be a lot of fun and it’s going to lead into what my topic for tomorrow’s video is, which is Josh Giddy because some uh we’re gonna be talking about the grading of his signing and an article that came out that talked about the grading of his signing that I might not necessarily agree with in some regards. But that’ll do it for this episode of Just Another Your Chicago Bulls. Before I sign off, I want to remind people that on September 26th, I’m going to be getting together with an all-star Chicago Bulls panel that includes C Red UK, Neil uh Neil from C Red UK, Troy from Whole Lot of Bull, Hayes from Chicago Bulls Central, Jamal from Bull Central, and Melissa formerly from Bulls on Tap. Uh she is now a free agent for whatever that matters. But we’re going to be putting our heads together for a new project called Bulls Without Borders. And we’re going to be meeting going forward once a month to talk about all things Chicago Bulls when we can get together. And we’re going to be doing a season preview. So that’ll be next Friday. I hope you guys will tune in. I’m really excited for it. It’s going to be the go-to panel for all things Chicago Bulls. But that’ll do it for this episode of Just Another Your Chicago Bulls. My name is Philip Charles Vanderhden IVth and as always I am seeing red more than ever baby.

You won’t believe where ESPN ranked the Chicago Bulls in their latest Future Power Rankings article… but at the same time, it’s sadly all too easy to believe. Once again, the national media is disrespecting the Windy City and completely writing off what the Bulls are building. But don’t worry, host Philip Charles VanDerHeyden IV is here to break it all down on Just Another Year Chicago: Bulls.

PCV IV dives into the details of ESPN’s rankings and explains why their analysis is short-sighted, lazy, and flat-out wrong when it comes to Chicago. From rising young stars like Matas Buzelis and Josh Giddey to the underrated development of Coby White, the Bulls’ future is brighter than the national outlets want to admit. The league may sleep on the six-time NBA Champions, but Bulls Nation knows better.

Plus, PCV IV highlights his favorite fan response from last episode’s Question of the Day segment and reveals today’s brand-new question for you to sound off on in the comments. Make sure to join the conversation—your take could be featured in the next video!

Chicago deserves better than the disrespect, and we’re here to set the record straight. Let’s talk about the future of the Bulls, why ESPN’s ranking doesn’t tell the whole story, and why there’s REAL hope in the Madhouse on Madison.

  1. I don't understand why it's 28th overall when we only ranked 28th in one category 27th in another. The rest we where rated quite well last time I checked when you are doing averages you don't take the worst one and say that's where there at you actually do an average of all 5. But I guess that's just simple maths
