Who is that guy on the right?
I mean we always knew what it was about.
You hate him because he kneeled
I hate him because he played for Nevada who beat my Boise state
We are not the same
I mean… wouldn’t that solely be up to the owner not the NFL to put that on the jumbo? I mean it is AT&T stadium. And I very highly doubt a team in a city with a high amount of left leaning people would put that on the Jumbo but what do I know
Where meme
This makes no sense at all. Colin was an NFL player who kneeled during the national anthem. He was already being benched due to poor performance and later got cut. After that, he made a Netflix documentary comparing NFL players with slaves (!?) and acused the league of being racist against him.
Charlie was a public figure that was shot in the neck and got a minute of silence. And that’s it.
They shouldn’t, I agree ! They did with George Floyd as well! It shouldn’t mix but to say they only do for Kirk is ignorance
Wait you’re telling me, rich white guys are….right wingers?
I don’t see taking a moment to honor a prominent figure who was murdered as mixing politics with football. His death was a big deal nationwide, regardless of whether you agreed with him or not.
People on Twitter and Reddit are shocked to find that outside of their echo chambers, the Charlie Kirk assassination is seen as a national tragedy. Probably the most famous person to be assassinated in my lifetime, whether you like him or not.
Also, this ran on the Jumbotron like 20 minutes before the game, when they’re showing the Dog of The Week and shouting out random people. This isn’t exactly running in prime time
I’m confused tho. What went the issue that he was kneeling during the national anthem as a move of protest?
This seems different from teams paying respect to someone.
But I have to be honest, I didn’t know who Charlie Kirk was until a week ago.
yes, full hypocrisy, but then again, maybe he shouldn’t have been such a terrible quarterback
Everything aside Kaeprnick was mid at best. That’s why he never found a team lol
Kaperdick thought he was a football player and found out he actually sucks
I mean one guy was murdered in cold blood for the world to see while the other said cops are pigs and made millions of dollars while stating black people are oppressed and was raised by white parents. They are not the same. He was arguing something that statistics state otherwise.
I hated Charlie Kirk.
I loved Colin Kaepernick. They hated him for peaceful protesting
But I will say the biggest difference was, Kirk was killed. I would like to agree there’s hypocrisy. But a memorial isn’t exactly the same.
One guy was slaughtered in front of his family in broad daylight for having bad opinions.
One guy was trying to voice his opinion in the wrong forum.
Like him or hate him, the shocking waste of life and brutality against a public personality is a net loss for our society. It has no place, and should be a unifying factor for all Americans.
Because none of us want that kind of violence either forgotten or normalized.
