Vikings Fans Just Got GREAT News Before Week 3 vs. Bengals
[Music] What’s going on everybody? Welcome in the Vikings now by chat sports. My name is Patrick Seman and coming up on today’s show, want to get you guys the latest Vikings injury news as there are a couple of positive updates which could be great news for us Vikings fans and then a lot of negativity around the team right now. Shaky one in one start. Not a lot of players have been really looking good. The coaching staff really hasn’t been looking too good. But I do want to highlight five positives and five players who’ve impressed me so far. But speaking about injuries, you know, the Vikings injury report looks like a damn CVS receipt right now. So, let me ask you guys this. How concerned are you with the injuries? Scale it for me one through 100 down below in the comment section. Obviously, no, you know, catastrophic season ending injuries just yet, but there are some key guys banged up. So, you guys, I’m going to know your thoughts. How concerned are you with these injuries? All right, let’s talk about it. the latest Vikings injury news here as we still are a couple of days away from the week three match against the Bengals trying to get some of the key players back and the biggest you know key player here that is on the injury report is no doubt Christian Darasaw and you know apparently coming in from Tom Pelisero saying the odds on Darasaw playing are highest it’s been as it should be like obviously hasn’t played the first two weeks I fully expect Christian Darasaw’s odds to play this upcoming Sunday are the highest they have been but I also do think it’s interesting that Tom Pelisero is saying this because it’s not, you know, Darren Wolson or one of these Vikings beat reporters or Kevin Seafford now saying this like this is one of the bigger NFL um reporters out there and he’s got a strong connection to the organization. So I am sure that there is a decent enough chance that he goes. If I had to call it right now, 65% chance we see 71 back out there. But you guys are probably a little concerned after seeing this tweet if you’re on Twitter today. Christian Darasaw is not practicing today as we are filming this on Thursday. Um, a part of his weekly routine, he is likely to follow this season. Um, he’s expected back tomorrow as a full part uh, participant. Now, I fully expect the Vikings to handle Christian Darasaw exactly like this even when he is back throughout the entire season where you have him full on Wednesday, maybe you rest him on Thursday and then you go back full on Friday and then we hope that he is feeling good enough to go play out there uh, that upcoming game. But, you know, the offensive line, if Darasaw’s back out there, should look pretty solid. Like, obviously you got Michael Jurgens stepping in there for Ryan Kelly. Uh, we’ll talk about Kelly here, but I don’t expect him to play. But then you got Daryus Hall, you got Donovan Jackson, Will Fry, Brian O’Neal. Now, if Daryus Hall is not out there, I will say if you have Walter Rouse starting at left tackle, you’re going to have Walter Rouse, zero career starts, Donovan Jackson, two career starts, and Michael Jurgens, zero career starts. You’re going to have three guys from the center to the left tackle that really have not really played a lot of football in their career and you know a lot of people are concerned about the offensive line and I understand that the offensive line has looked terrible to start this season but it should get a whole lot better. Number one you’re having Christian Darasaw coming back and number two it takes time. You know continuity and chemistry is so huge with these offensive linemen and it’s tough to just evaluate one guy when you’re talking about offensive lines. You got to talk about the full five because it is such a connective position. They’re helping each other out, you know, you know, picking up twists, concepts, all that. You know, the whole nine. The offensive line should improve throughout throughout the season, especially when you get number 71 back. But Harrison Smith, Tom Peliser also said this that Harrison Smith is trending toward playing, but will likely be on a snap count. Now, I fully expect that to be the case. So, Harrison Smith dealing with that personal issue, dealing with that illness. Nobody really knows exactly what it is. I’m just assuming Harrison Smith maybe got mono or got like a severe illness, you know, a couple weeks ago and it just takes time to get your body back right. So, he’s been practicing. He was out there today in a limited action. But again, if he is out there, expected to be on a snap count this upcoming weekend. But good news here on Andrew Van Genko. He was back at practice for a second straight day and he should be good to go. Now, obviously dealing with a concussion, you always want to proceed on the side of caution there, but he already missed last week. I don’t think a concussion is going to rule out Andrew Van Genko for two weeks. So having him out there probably the second most important player for this defense will be huge for Brian Flores and company this upcoming weekend. And then Ryan Kelly dealing with that concussion. I say the Vikings just let him rest. Now this guy has had a ton of concussions in the past. Believe he had two in 2023. He had another one in 2017. So this has been an issue for him. So I would rather have them play it safe. He’s a veteran guy. Michael Jurgens give him a chance to fill in there at that center position, but I would not expect Ryan Kelly to play, but I would expect Donovan Jackson to play. Now, he popped up on the injury uh injury report earlier on this week dealing with a wrist injury, but he was back full today and I fully expect him to be out there, but definitely something to monitor. Maybe if he has to leave the game at any point, just double check if he’s dealing with that wrist. But just want to get you guys the update there on Donovan Jackson. But speaking about the Vikings staying fully healthy, it’s been a tough year. Injury Bug has definitely got the betterment uh or the better of this locker room. So, if you guys want the Vikings to stay healthy, go down there, hit that thumbs up icon. All right, coming up next on the show, I do want to talk about five players on the Vikings roster who have impressed so far. A lot of these guys defensively because not a lot of positives offensively, but we’ll talk about that here in a second. But today’s episode of Vikings Now is brought to you guys by Prize Picks. Now, you and I make decisions every day, but being right can get you paid on prize picks. Now, don’t miss any of the excitement this season on prize picks where it’s good to be right. We’ll hook you guys up with $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. A shout out to Prize Fix for sponsoring today’s show. Prize Fix, it’s good to be right. All righty. So, let’s talk about five players on the Vikings roster who have impressed so far. Obviously, you know, not a lot of good. you know, you’ve really only played seven or one good quarter of good football and seven quarters of bad football. But I do think a lot of guys defensively have stepped up and the guy that has really stepped up in uh in the spot of Harrison Smith, Jay Ward, the safety. Now, we all criticize for Quaz for not being able to draft, but maybe hit on this guy in the third round, safety out of LSU, and he has been fantastic to start this season. Now, we thought he was going to be that fourth safety in the lineup, you know, rotating in with maybe a Theo Jackson, not getting a whole lot of snaps. But with Harrison Smith being out, he’s playing some good ball. Overall PFF grade 76. That was 19th out of all 111 eligible safeties. Run defense solid, very good in coverage, 23rd in the league with a 71.4 overall coverage grade. And he’s also played 41 snaps this season. So, him filling in for Harrison Smith has been huge. And he’s been holding it down in the secondary um at that safety spot. But same with Isaiah Rogers. Um Isaiah Rogers now, he has been pretty damn good in coverage this year. Um a little shaky when he’s coming up and stopping the run, but I do have this cool graphic to show you guys. So it is quarterback coverage and yards per snap um allowed is on the bottom and then passer rating is running up the top. And Isaiah Rogers is a little tough to see here, but he is right there in the top right quadrant in between names like Will Johnson, Jaylen Wilson, and Sauce Gardner. So clearly he is having a good year. PFF graded him out very solid so far. And he’s also just passed the eye test when you go turn on the tape and specifically key in on him. But I’ll tell you what, the Isaiah Rogers signing, it looks like a success so far. I mean, he only gave him a two-year deal for $15 million to be the quarterback, too. And if you’re getting that type of value out of that position, I think that’s a home run play. So, shout out to Brian Flores and Quaz for getting that deal done. But another guy defensively here, Jaylen Redmond, uh, defensive tackle. This guy has impressed me every single snap he has played since, you know, midway through last season. And he really came on the scene strong. Had a masterful game against the Falcons last season, and he’s just built on that. Um, you know, I think a big reason why the Vikings decided to trade Harrison Phillips was because of this guy and just the potential he has. like the fact that he was just out there on the street, you know, last offseason the Vikings were able to pick him up and now they have a starting defensive tackle in Jaylen Redmond is really special stuff, but he also gets better every single week. Like I think he’s got all types of potential because, you know, don’t forget this guy was a fivestar recruit coming out of high school, went to Oklahoma, even though he went that, you know, XFL route, he was a highly touted recruit. So, the natural athletic talent and ability is there and he just keeps on stacking good games, stacking good days, and I just can’t wait to see what he turns into. But another good signing from this off seasonason, Eric Wilson, the linebacker, um, obviously has had to fill in for Blake Cashman as he has been sent to IR with a hamstring injury. And, you know, we have talked about linebacker depth possibly being an issue, but with Eric Wilson doing such a great job filling in for Blake Cman so far this season, it really hasn’t been. and also his running mate Ivan Pace has been flat out terrible. So the fact that Eric Wilson’s been able to play good, really good against the run. Now he has struggled in coverage in spots, but he also had that nasty force fumble against Drake London, which you know, looking back on that, that should have sparked the Vikings going on a run. Unfortunately, it did not because offense could have capitalized. But I’ll give credit to Eric Wilson. Finally has some depth at that linebacker spot. And even though you know Blake Cashman missing time, when he comes back, don’t be shocked if they bench Ivan Pace and it’s Eric Wilson and Blake Cashman being the duo at the linebacker position. But we will talk about one guy offensively here and that’s going to be Jaylen Naylor. Now, the main reason why he is impressed is mainly because of the offseason he had. He really struggled in training camp. You know, he had some drop issues. He was obviously dealing with that injury, but the eye test with Jaylen Naylor early on has been absolutely fantastic. You know, this guy is running the wide receiver two role, not Adam Thelen. It has been Naylor running that spot and he has played some damn good football. He’s actually creating the second most amount of yards per uh route this year in terms of separation, which is a credit to him. So, he’s been passing eye test, playing some good football, and uh hopefully can continue to build on that. Now I wonder once Addison comes back, could there be a little battle for wide receiver three? Would they go Naylor? Would they go Adam Thielen? At least Naylor is at least making that a difficult decision for Keenan M. Cardell in this coaching staff so far. But I just gave you guys five names. You guys just got to give me one. Name a player that has impressed you so far this season. Drop that name down below in the comments section and we’ll see you guys next time. As always, go bikes. [Music]

The new official partnership between Kardvin and Google will make it a household name.
I've never been more confident in an investment. Kardvin is a no-brainer
Kardvin put in everything and sell after launch
Kardvin yet has to really hit mainstream media guys
Crazy all these opportunities coming out lately.. me and my friends are all in on Kardvin now
Already invested $10,000 in Kardvin if this goes the same way as the memecoin then I am a millionaire
If Ward was that solid why was Atlanta rushing for 200+yards rediculous
Jordan Mason. Give him the damn ball!
Im most concerned about Darrisaw and now McCarthy! They are injury magnets! At least McCarthy is starting to look that way
This team is COOKED. 6-11 season.

I don't understand preseason injuries. Seams 2 me teams wasn't physically prepared for the upcoming season
Nailor was wide open down the sideline but JJ airmailed it. Could have won that game.
Jordan Mason

Don't expect Darrisaw to play more than a game or two before retiring. He's lost confidence in his body, the mind follows . Injuries like that ruin careers. Hope not but this is EXACTLY what that looks like . Its reality
It's hemorrhoids,he stated so
Donovan Jackson 6'3" and 5/8, really?
It’s hard to be enthusiastic with this so called revamped offensive line that can’t protect its quarterback. Add that with a deeply distracted quarterback still feeling the shell shock of being a new dad and being clobbered silly the Falcon’s D-line. What the hell, he’s only 20 and he’s already a father and married too. On top of that he’s the number one quarterback on the Vikings. Talk about getting she’ll shock from being hit on the blind side and fatherhood. Maybe it’s time to dump McArthy to the 3rd string quarterback, he needs a little incentive to get his Azz into gear. McArthy, needs to start thinking with his head and not his d” “ck. When you are facing fatherhood, you better get serious about your career and life. How much hand holding does he need. KOC made a horrible choice in selecting a glass like quarterback that needs to be more focused on football and not making bad choices about life (at 20, already a father with a baby mama or gold digger). An intelligent man would be like it’s a honey trap. A stupid man that should’nt be drafted would be like where do I stick it. His time recovering from injury should be filled with learning the plays and not how much pussy I need to get satisfaction. He should be doing reps as a 20 year old instead of the distraction of Vigina or women, and fatherhood. There is a difference between being a father in their 30s vs being one at age 20. Somebody in the organization should have given him the talk, don’t phuc around and find out. Who gives a phuc if he is young, he sucks in learning the game, he sucks in making life choices, and physically he sucks already due to being so injury prone. I’m just waiting to see him break like glass like Bridgewater. Dump his Azz and give the Gopher player a chance. What’s there to lose the season is over. All the hype with the great white quarterback from Michigan is sh!t. Should have kept Darnold and drafted real a offensive line man. Now, Quayzi is starting to look crazy and like a Spielman 2.0. What a waste of Minnesota time and money. This is a cursed franchise with a cursed franchise quarterback who is living on borrowed time. Cut him loose for some picks to improve the O-line or start the exorcism.
Anybody wonder if KOC is trying to discourage JJ for some reason? Hires a couple of older players who have had injury problems, and the center, Kelly, already injured after two games. Many of the best in the first string O line are out for his first three weeks…when he really needs them the most. The O line is just terrible, with leaks everywhere, after everyone saying how important it is to protect JJ. Supposedly going to run more, Mason looking awesome, but not started the second game, and really not too much emphasis on running yet. IDK, just a thought that popped into my mind.
J.JMcJOKE BENCHED
I think they will only 4 games this year, the reason is always the offensive line, and our pass defense, plus a backup quarterback at the helm!
They need to stop being so sensitive with injuries. These guys are young millionaires with short seasons and careers. You're paid to play so get out there and do your job.
Let,s GO! Everybody Should Step up and do their Jobs, Again! These Young Millionaires I Did,nt get The $ Contract, I,M just trying to Keep My Optimistic Goals For This Team SKOL Nation!
big talk just like every year maybe it’s the head office
Smh.. We need a decisive win on the defensive side of the ball. Arm Punt Bradley is gonna hand the ball off to Chase. Gotta be able to stop the run and slow the game down.
Still got KOC callin plays….👎🏾👎🏾
