Philadelphia Phillies vs Arizona Diamondbacks – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 19, 2025 MLB Season

innings tonight. Ideally, Rob Thompson said be great if uh it could be just a two- pitcher night for Taiwan Walker and Walker Buer. We’ll have the first pitch in the starting lineups coming up right after this. Diamondbacks still alive in the wildard race, hoping for a big weekend. Philly’s hoping to spoil that. Some ideas of their own as the first pitch is a fast ball and it’s a called strike right on the edge. Nine games left in the season. The pitch Bader swings and lifts one high in the air to left center field and tracking it is Alec Thomas out there in center. There’s one going is 2-2 and it’s line towards short on a hop. Peromo backhands the throw to first and time the 2-1 ground ball to first. Two hops. Tala has it. He’ll take it himself and it’s a one, two, three start. The one two to Marte had it swung on, hit deep right field. Kepler back at the wall and he’s out of room and Catel Marte who has always given the Phillies trouble has homeed off of Taiwan Walker here in the first. It’s one- nothing Arizona. He’s super dangerous and they say pound-for-pound he might be one of the strongest players. One one swinging a ground ball hit to short. Could be two. Scott to second. One on to first in time. A double play as they get Bla1 Alexander by an eyelash. Diamond backs deciding whether to one two on the way and it’s hooked into right. Base hit. First hit of the game for the Phillies and it belongs to Brandon Marsh. Marsh draws out his lead again and he’s going again. The 3-2 is rifled into right center. It’s going to be a base hit up the alley. It’ll go all the way to the wall and with Marsh on the move, he’s coming around third. He’ll score without a throw and it’s an RBI double. Welcome back, Alec Bow. Nelson’s 01. And this one is line. Diving stop for Domo. He’s up with it and the throw is in time. Oh my, what a play by Heraldo Peromo. Power off of this ball club and some youngsters getting chances to play. There’s a single into right to start things here in the second for Arizona. Kepler, but Scott said no. He had a read on it the whole way. There’s a swing and a drive to right, but right there is Kepler. Two gone. Walker is 10 and it’s a ground ball on the infield. Stock to his left has it. The throw dug out by Harper. Nice play. Here’s Harrison Bader and he swings and drives one up the alley in left center field. Pretty deep. McCarthy on the run. That ball’s going to one hop the fence and Bader on his way into second. Harrison Bader gets into scoring position with his 24th double of the season. Two and two the count and the pitch. Got it. [Applause] Well, he rared back and fired a 98 mph fast ball and JT lifts one in the air to right. Playable for Carol who’s standing and waiting. Well, he’s threatened but do not score. Through home a second run in that inning and that’s the difference in the game. This one’s hooked down the line. It’s a fair ball going to the corner and Perdomo off to the races. He’ll get to second. No problem. A leadoff double. Fly ball right center. Playable. Bader with his crab walk. Gets behind it. Makes the catch. Throw will go to second. Domo takes third. [Music] Runner does go. The pitch. Ground ball up the middle. Wilson’s there to glove it. He’ll throw to first and that worked out for the Phillies. Wilson was in the right spot as he went to cover the bag. Diamondbacks have led since the bottom of the first. Bader swings and drives it deep left field. Back is McCarthy at the wall. It’s gone and we’re tied. Harrison Bader with a home run to left. His 17th of the season. 22. We start over in the fifth. It’s starting to become the Harrison Bader show and he’s not wasting any time. It’s the second time he jumps some deception. Marte hits one high and deep center field. Bader back looking up at that high wall and that is off the wall. It is in play and Bader will fire it all the way in towards third base. But Marte go terrible to pitch swing and a miss. struck him out. High fast ball got him and Corman Carroll down on strikes. 3-2 runner does go and the pitch is taken for a called third strike. And Nick can’t believe it. He was walking right in front of Moreno and uh he’s upset. Yeah, he obviously thought that ball was down in the zone. It was a ball. He walks in front of Moreno. Moreno would have ended the inning and Moreno just double pumped because he walked in front of him. Well, that’s going to do it for the left-hander Beaks. Wilson rips one through the left side. A base hit. Marsh around third being waved home. The throw is cut off and Weston Wilson hammers one to left. It’s an RBI single and it’s a 32 Phillies lead. And the runner is going. The pitch is up and in. The throw to second. Not in time. Boy, forgot. He thought he might have had him. Cory Blazer didn’t think so. Chopper towards short charging Scott. Going to be close. Throw to first is in time on the mound for Arizona. And Alec Bow moves after the first one. And Blaze Alexander can’t handle it. And Bow is aboard. See if the Phillies can take advantage of that. delivers and it’s swung on. Hit deep left field. It’s on its way. It is gone into the Diamondbacks bullpen and there’s home run number 250 for Nick Castatos at long last. Nick Castatos has given the Phillies a 52 lead. Oh, two. Got it. There’s another one. Phillies tack on two big runs. Announced yesterday he’s retiring. Here’s a little soft liner to second. No problem for Wilson. A fantastic 3-2 pitch. This is a cutter that gets two ones. Popped up and shallow right center. Castanos is calling. Harper behind the runner at first. A 3-2. Oh, just missed outside. [Applause] And that’s going to bring up Bla1 Alexander. Signs from JT comes set. He kicks 3-2. Missed outside. All four backto- back walks here and the bases are loaded. And now 0 for 31 this year to start. Here’s a swing and a popup and it’s on the infield and playable. Who wants it? Stopped behind the mound. He’s got it. And Tanner Banks shuts the door on the Diamondbacks. Strand those runners 2-2 and it’s popped up. Waiting for it is Alexander. And there’s out number one, so to speak against the Diamondbacks. Runner is going. The 3-2 hit well right center field up the alley and that will add on a run. Oh no, it won’t. It’ll bounce over the wall and it’s a ground rule double as that one hops over the wall and into the pool. Double play depth on the infield up the middle and Bone shoots one up the middle. That’s a base hit in to score Harper. JT’s around third and Alec Bomb delivers a two-run single and the Phillies open up a seven-2 lead. 10 pitch swung on line towards left center on the run. Thomas plays it on a bounce. Marsh coming around third. They’re going to wave him home. There’ll be no throw to the plate and another run batted in for Nick Castanos. And the Phillies opening up an 8-2 lead here in the ninth. And the pitch and Wilson pops this one up. Shallow left for Domo is out and calling versus team B. 2-2 and that’s hit in the air to left backing up on him McCarthy and he’s going to have room and that’ll end the top of the ninth but three more runs home for the Phillies in the Phillies clubhouse for four days [Applause] as a bouncer towards first. Harper’s got it and there’s out number one but Beller you aren’t you aren’t kidding. There’s a fly ball into right center and Bader waiting on it. There’s out number two. A dangle dangles two line towards left center. Bader is back there to get it. He’ll put it away. And that’s out number three as the Phillies take game one of this three-game setting.
