Marlins vs. Rangers Game Highlights (9/19/25) | MLB Highlights
Tyler Mi back on the mound for the Rangers for the first time since June. And few pitchers kept the ball in the yard and limited slug the way that Tyler Mi did. Ramirez hitting 233 but with 21 home runs, 66 runs batted in. Again, this is a young club. And it far, but he comes up 50. A strikeout. And that’s how we get going here tonight. Tyler M’s been a real estate agent. when he’s been able to pitch this year. It’s location, location, location. And hits the outside corner for the first out of the game. Two two and he comes up empty. Another strike out for Mi. Gets the swing and miss. Two for two with strikeouts on the fast ball. Here’s a check swing roller to first handled by Burger. He takes it to the bag and what a job by Tyler Mi upon his return to the big league mound. Tyler Mali with a 13 pitch first inning. Well, it has to feel good after not pitching for 3 months to go out there and have a successful first inning. One, two, and a swing and a miss. And he gets hits. So that is three strikeouts among the first four hitters he’s faced. Payoff pitch and that strike three called. So Hernandez goes down looking. Four strikeouts for Maui. In the second inning, it’s the split finger. That one stays up and there’s a contact made deep center. Takes Helman back to the warning track but he’ll make the catch and the inning is done. Two scoreless for Mi Jansen jump 15 start of the season. His third career start against Texas. Yeah, his last start was pretty good. He was a quality one against the Tigers. Six innings, three runs, walked one, four Ks. Jocket 180 for the year with eight home runs. And this ball’s smoked down the right field line. If that stays fair, that’s trouble. It bounces up out of here and that is a book rule double. Jock Peterson ropes one down the line for a two bagger. Incredible defensive plays. There’s a bouncer up the middle. Advance the runner, but Garcia thrown out by Paulie. Young batting 251 on the season for Texas. 14 home runs, 59 runs batted in. Little tapper out in front of the plate. If that stays fair and it will. It scores a run. Boy, that’s remarkable. It looked off the bat like that was going to spin. Foul, but a favorable tilt on the infield. Gets the Rangers on the board first. It’s one- nothing. Tapper back toward the mound. Junk over to that first base side. He’ll take care of Freeman and the inning is done. But the Rangers get that first run of the night on the dribbler off the bat of Josh Young. Tell you what, Tyler Mi looking sharp here tonight. 52 pitches through four innings. Connor Norby to get it started. Norby laces the two- fast ball into right field. He’s two for two tonight. Here’s Grampali. There’s a swing and a high drive in the air deep right center field going back. Garcia and he can’t make the catch. Nory’s on his way to third. It looked like Garcia glided underneath the ball. We’ll have to take another look, but he didn’t come up with it. Well, it got hit into that corner right near the Rangers bullpen. So, a real chance here for the Marlins and that’s bounced down to third base. Young diving stop runners hold. Good throw and they get Wagaman. Wow. Now that is a big time defensive play. That ball was hit so hard and Young was playing just a few feet behind the bag that the runners were not able to move. Terrific play there by Josh Young on a ball hit right over third. Here is Augustine Ramirez who doubled in the third. The swing and a miss. Ramirez strikes out. Six strike out for Maui. Gets the big second out of this inning and has a really nice performance. Nice round of applause here for Tyler Mali upon his return to the diamond. He pitches exceedingly well. Lefty Jacob Latz. He’s making his 24th appearance out of the pen this year. Seven starts, 285 ERA and second and third, two outs. So here’s Jacob Marcy facing Jacob Latz ready again. The one two and it’s in the air left side. That might be playable. Osuna near the line. Does he have room? He does. And Osa makes a great catch to keep it a scoreless fifth inning. Great Rangers pitching tonight and they lead one to nothing. Former Marlin Robert Garcia is going to come on to pitch here at the top of the seventh inning for Texas. Something’s got to change and they really would love to score to help out Jansen Junk who’s had a fabulous night. Javier Senoha will hit in Paulie’s place. Javier Senoha’s first pitch swinging here in the top of the seventh. Highf fly ball to left field. Javier ties it. A pinch hit home run for Javier Senoha. It’s the Marlins eighth pinch hit homer of the season. And Javier Senoha just ambushed Robert Garcia to start the seventh. A first pitch slider did not slide for Garcia. How about Senoha? Number six on the year for him. There’s a big one. All right, it’s the lefty Kade Gibson coming on here in the ninth inning for the Marlins. He is a ground ball pitcher. Ezekiel Durant has been introduced as a pinch hitter here for Josh Smith. Swing and a miss. Got him with a curve ball in the dirt. Blocked nicely by Hicks. Strike out in the put out will go two to three. And there’s one away in the ninth. And here comes Osuna. Unless they want a pinchette. This is going to be Dylan Moore. Ranny lifts one into shallow right. That was a center cut fast ball for him. There’s two away. Here comes Jake Burgerer again. We’re an out away from a 10th. He’s ready with the payoff pitch. Burger swings and he pops it up behind first. Wagamin is there and the inning is over. Extra innings here at Texas. Top of the 10th coming up when we return. Left-hander Hobie Milner is on to pitch for the Rangers. Marcy will lead things off. Place runner at second is Augustinine Ramirez. Marlins are eight and four in extras. The Rangers are nine and six. Bouncer left side. Young looks a runner back. Throws over to first one away. One and one on Otto who’s 0 for four tonight. And the drought now for Lopez is he’s now four for his last 31. This is slammed out towards the gap in right center field. Lopez with an extra base hit. Ramirez can walk home from second and the Marlins have their first lead of the night. Boy, that 0 for four turned one for five. All of a sudden feels pretty darn good for Otto. Xavier Edwards came off the bench in the eighth inning and single. Edwards swinging away. Line drive into right field. That’s down for a base hit. Otto Lopez turns and burns at third. Throw coming in is high. Three to one Marlins. And X is going to give it to you. What a beautiful job. Michael Peterson on a pitch. Really surprised by this. Kate Gibson is not a one inning only guy. Rowdy Tles off the bench here as a pinch hitter. And there’s a good swing and a deep fly ball out to ride. It’s gone. Rowdy Tles with two outs in the bottom of the tenth. keeps the Rangers hopes alive tonight. Quick question. Last time Patrick Corbin pitched out of the bullpen was when? Postseason. Game seven of the 2019 World Series. He went three scoreless innings against the Astros and was the winning pitcher as the Nationals clinched the World Series victory over Houston. Marcy facing Corbin. The very least, Jacob Marcy has got to advance that runner from second to third. Marcy swings line drive down the right field line. A base hit that’ll score Ramirez. And Marcy pulls into second with an RBI double. And the Marlins once again have the lead. It’s 4-3. That’s bounced. There goes Marcy. Great dirt ball read by Jacob. That’ll work. It’s a wild pitch. Down is a ball. No strikes on Navarto. Chopper. Fair ball over the bag at third for Brian Navaredto. His fourth major league hit. Gives the Marlins a 53 lead. And how about this guy? Five years in between big league opportunities. He homered in his first plate appearance back and he delivers a humongous RBI double to give the Marlins a two-run lead in the top of the 12th. So two out now. Here’s Dane Meyers who’s 0 for three. He came on to pinch hit in the eighth inning. 1-1 is shot towards the hole and it eats up Durant. It trickles into left field. Navaredto’s going to score. An RBI single for Dane Meyers. And that may have put it on ice here in the 12th. And George Sorano’s on the pitch here for Miami. Marlins were an out away for Rowdy Toles with that game tying two out, two-run homer and a two- count. And Adoleis Garcia has had his share of dramatic moments during his time with the Rangers. Here’s the tying run against George Soraniano with the Rangers trailing six to4. Soraniano delivers ground ball to third, Norby to first and the ball game is over. The Rangers playoff chances, if they still exist, are fleeting and fleeting

Valente Bellozo didn't pitch today, but is he in the minor leagues? Or was he in the bullpen all day?

The Texas Rangers are 0-3 when hitting game-tying home runs in extra innings this season.
On a totally unrelated note, they are 1-0 when game-tying home runs are hit against them in extra innings this year.
