The linebackers have struggled in coverage. That is no mystery. That is not something that is a crazy, you know, realization. That is not a revelation that happened talking to God. It’s you can look at the tape. You can look at the highlights. You can look at all the information and see, yeah, the linebackers have not been amazing when it comes to playing in coverage. Dear Davis really hasn’t been the liability. It’s honestly been Wernern been abysmal in run defense. He’s been abysmal in coverage. He’s been abysmal overall as a defender. I think that’s why the New Orleans Saints explored trading for Quay Walker, a guy who has been known to be pretty reliable as a coverage linebacker and somebody who can be a leader and wear that green dot at any point in time. Now, I do think that my theory is as follows. The Saints have not been pleased with what they’ve seen from Pete Wernern in terms of the production and in terms of his coverage abilities, and they were looking to try and upgrade

  6. Pete has always been a liability in coverage but his run defense has (in the past) been good…now, he's really not good at anything…they need to play Stutsman…wish we still had Kaden Ellis.

  7. Werner cant cover wide receivers, halfbacks, fullbacks, H-backs, tight ends, tackle elgibles, or twin size beds with a king size sheet set.

    Put Stutsman in and see what he can do!

  13. Werner is too light in the ass smash and too slow to cover . He's average at best . Might make the tackle but he's never gonna make the "play" .No TFL no pass break ups just a second too late always. Im sure he's intelligent and knows what to do but the body isn't responding as fast as it needs to be ! Not a playmaker! Give stuntman some run !

  14. Yeah, now the Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow is hurt probably for the whole year. The Saints should offer from a trade for their number one quarterback and the number two draft pick next year. I proceed the Saints getting their butt kicked by their old head coach by 20 points. This Sunday. They kept the wrong general manager. They should’ve gave him the general manager and head coach position and we might be going to a Super Bowl.

  24. FIRE MICKEY LOOMIS!!! why would he be trying to trade away more draft picks in a rebuild?!? We have Stutsman USE HIM!! I swear Loomis wants this team to go down in flames. He hasn’t done anything useful in a decade. Most dead money in the league. Cap strapped with the worst roster in the league. Still paying players from years ago. He is the definition of a terrible GM. He is making the Pelicans the same way. Gayle needs to be a better owner. She owes it to this loyal fan base to bring in someone competent. You don’t trade away draft picks in a rebuild. If she can’t fire him, hire someone to put him in a box. We can’t watch him single handedly ruin an organization just because he knows he can’t lose his job. Ridiculous.
