Juan Soto sets a NEW CAREER HIGH in a single season with home run No. 42 with the Mets ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿงก

He just tries to backhand it. He’s such a tall athlete. He didn’t get down and get in front of it. Those kind of things happen when you don’t play fundamentally correct. And the Mets have pulinaro lunging for that breaking ball out of the strike zone. Batty at third, Lindor at second. Three errors now charge to the Washington outfield. You don’t see that very often. One out in the inning. the infield halfway at second is short and stood takes a slider outside. It’s 2 and0. PJ Poland, a Massachusetts kid that went to University of Connecticut. Two and0 to Sodto and a fast ball in for a strike. Two and one. Sodto had a base hit to right field. his last top up. Hoping for a genie. Well, you know, you do something similar with Gil Hodgees. I see it every day. You do. Sodto flies one out to center pretty deep. That goes Young to the warning track at the wall. It’s out of here. One Sodto with a new careerhigh 42 home runs. a threerun shot and the Mets lead it eight to four. He sets a new careerh high straight away center field. I think that hit the home run apple and bounced out as the home run apple pops up to say hello. 8-4 Mets in the bottom of the fourth. RBI’s 101, 102, and 103. Wow. Left on left, slider over the middle of the plate and a careerhigh 42 for number 22. And now the Mets are in the driver’s seat. Eight to four lead now with a six spot in the bottom of the inning. First pitch Pete Alonzo takes in tight. One ball and no strikes. You know, Juan Sto and sometimes he doesn’t know and he thinks he knows, but he knew that one was gone. I didn’t even follow the ball. Well, I just looked at Juan. He just stood there at home plate. He knew that one was gone. 10 inside. Two balls and no strikes. Of course, when you stand there, it had better be gone. And it was. That really wasn’t. No doubt. 419 ft to center field. And Lonzo hits one on the ground to Young handles this one. And that’s the second out. [Applause] Watch the swing. Just looks like a little cutter on the outside part. Left-handers, he st tends to stay more the middle of the diamond towards left center. And that ball almost went in the apple. Reaction from Lindor. Three-run homer from Sodto. Some kind of hitter. Those those braids are good. That Mets home run means City will donate $2,000 to No Kid Hungry to help the one in five kids in America facing hunger right now. He had never had braids before. Ronnie Mauricio convinced him to get them and he’s been killing it since he changed his hairstyle. I mean, the way his life’s going, I might get braids. You know, the Met Mets have had two managers bring in left-handers early in the game. Peralta yesterday, three-run homer. And here Puland with a base hit to Lindor and then a three-run homer to Sodto. Bentos pulls one foul. So the first five months of the season, Juan Sodto never hit a home run with more than one runner on base. He changed that on Labor Day in Detroit when he hit a grand slam. And now he’s hit a three-run homer. And now he’s got more home runs than he’s ever had before in a season.

Juan Soto CRUSHES a three-run home run against the Washington Nationals for his 42nd homer of the season, setting a new season high during his first year with the New York Mets on September 19, 2025. Presented by @budweiser.

  1. The worst deal in the history of baseball…can't even hit 50 homers a season and doesn't have any other contribution….like say 50 strike outs…..at most worth 450 million….but well…some people just like to waste their money!!๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ

  2. Juan Soto es nรบmero no por los nรบmeros si no por lo controversial que es ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ด

  3. 243 homers at 26. Only Pujols and A Rod had more.

40/30 season with a .925 OPS in a "down" year.

The haters have a long, miserable career of hating ahead of them.
