The Chiefs just gifted the Eagles a win and fall to 0-2
So, the Chiefs fall short to the Philadelphia Eagles due to self-inflicted wounds and for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. Start out 0 and2. Look, a W is a W at the end of the day. It’s GG’s to the Philadelphia Eagles. They outexecuted the Kansas City Chiefs and they got it done. However, you go for it deep in your own territory and gift the Eagles three points. Then you run a a run play on third and forever to try to attempt a 58- yd field goal for Harrison Buter. And maybe they thought, hey, 58 yds is well within Harrison Buter’s range. And he missed it wide right. So that’s six points off the board, three due to coaching and three to Harrison Butker. But then Travis Kelce drops that pass at the oneyd line. It probably would have been a touchdown and instead it’s batted up into the air and it was a gift for the Philadelphia Eagles. They took that down the sideline. Shout out to Josh Simmons for making this freaking tackle and turned that into seven points. And when you’re going up against the defending Super Bowl champions, you can’t have all those mistakes and expect to win this game. it’s not going to happen. So, yes, the defense did a pretty good job all things considered. Mike Dana and Christian Fulton were ruled out early and are injured. Hopefully, nothing too serious. So, I don’t have a lot of blame on the defense in this one. Sure, Trent McDuffy maybe could have had better coverage on Devonte Smith deep down the right sideline on that one third down. But outside of that, I thought the defense played really well. I’m really worried about the offense and a bit of the play calling here from the coaching staff. Yes, the offense is down Rice. They’re down Worthy. They’re down Royals, but man, there’s no run game.

Let’s be real for one second… the only reason the Chiefs came close to potentially not losing the game was because of that very questionable roughing the passer call that gave Mahomes another chance… the story of the Chiefs last year except this year they’re losing these close games so far..
I usally say cheifs get ref help but some clear false starts on tush pushes that were missed by the zebras

We failed to get a legit running back in the off season, we knew Rice would be suspended, worthy is simply too small and therefore prone to injury, the right tackle did a decent job this last game but will be back to his old form just like he did the entire season last year, Mahomes has missed multiple targets that were open, and NOBODY goes for it in 4th down in their side of the 50!
After the Super Bowl and Week 1, I was honestly expecting to get blown out. I think they played pretty well despite a few mistakes on offense. Defense was solid against a stacked offense.
And yet if the chiefs converted the 1st down in their territory and made the fg that they missed, you'd be praising the genius of big red?!
