My biggest issue with him is usage of the pitching staff. Last night’s game against the brewers encapsulates it all. 2 runners on, 2 outs Kikuchi at 92 pitches 5 2/3…he pulls him for fermin…who promptly gives up the lead in 2 pitches.
He doesn’t trust the starters and in doing so he puts unnecessary pressure on the bullpen.
The team also seemingly goes into every game with no plan except let’s hit home runs. Not a fan.
We had a horrible losing season. What any possible other opinion besides BAD could there be.
It doesn’t matter what GM or Manager we get. As long as Arte is the owner we will not win. He has had his hand in every bad contract over the last 20 years. He hires people for the front office who have no business in baseball. We had good managers and good GMs come thru in the last 20 years, but nothing to show for it because Moreno meddled.
Garbage.
Great name. One of the best names in baseball.
Doesn’t matter. You could give the Angels the greatest baseball manager mankind has ever seen, and the result would be the same.
I would have kept Gil than keep this bum around

Montgomery is not the guy. Very little passion or enthusiasm. Wash is washed up. In my opinion you have to get rid of EVERYONE above the manager to make a difference.

Mariners are in the hunt for play offs. Jerry Dipoto is their GM. Left Angels for reason named Moreno.
I won’t be upset if he returns. The team will stink in 2026 regardless of who the manager is.
He pulls pitchers unnecessarily and that has cost the team some possible wins. Otherwise, he’s doing what he can.
I won’t blame the manager for this. Nobody could win with this team. The Angels players are just going through the motions. I won’t be surprised if they go winless the rest of the season. A nice 16 game losing streak, will make a fine capper for this joke of a team.
