Lukas Reichel on Mindset | Chicago Blackhawks

take us through your your off seasonason because you did a lot of training. C can you explain to us a little bit? You did two different camps. Yeah, I just uh talked to different skill coaches that I know and uh you know I went to those those camps with like guys from Europe like guys that getting drafted or already got drafted and like you know couple of friends that I used to play with like Peter and or against like Casper and Rossi they’re working with them too. So uh it was a good camp. It’s just like you know going somewhere else seeing uh you know different stuff like learning from the skill coaches like I’m not probably do everything what they say but just like whenever like I feel that helps my game I can you know work on that and um that helped me a lot. What do you feel like you accomplish this round? Um yeah, with them just like more, you know, off the yellow like um kind of like what what Coov is like the best in that like picking up pucks um first touches and even like looking when you cut back or just like create uh time and space um and stuff like that. Yeah. You feel like this is an important camp for you to show your role in this team? Yeah, of course. I think every camp is important, but especially for me this year, uh, you know, new coach or new coaches, uh, so for me, it’s just like, uh, to give 100% every day and, um, show them what I can bring on the ice and, um, Lash seems to be very upfront with everybody. What have the conversations been like with with coach? Yeah, I think it’s it’s uh, good. like he wants to, you know, know how you’re doing and all that. Like he wants to talk to you, but at the same time, like on the ice, like um he’s like not yelling at you, but he wants you to understand what we work on. Like today, we stopped a little bit just like for check system stuff like he wants that everyone gets it and um that we do it right. And it’s hard, but it’s a lot of fun. And I think the the guys, you know, uh they’re um you know, coming together, especially with you know, the skating yesterday. Uh you know, I think 10 guys wear a cold top after, you know, like usually it’s like one or two guys, but just like stuff like that. It’s it’s hard, but it’s fun. Yeah. Yeah. I think for me it’s just um you know one year left and but I think in every camp like even when you already play like first or second line you just got to uh bring it or give your best 100% and um just show them why you’re there or why you want the spot and uh that’s what I try to do. Yeah, I think a lot like just, you know, just up and downs like um I was like really hard to myself always and that kind of like brought me, you know, down and then I didn’t play with confidence or something like that. And sometimes just better um to like switch it and have that, you know, killer instinct like on the ice like you know I got this or next rep is going to be better. Just like stay more positive and over the years I uh learned that a lot. Thanks.
