Marlins vs. Rangers Game Highlights (9/20/25) | MLB Highlights
Jack Lider is ready to go. And so are we nine and nine on the season with a 382. Er, a, he’d love to see him execute a pitch here and in the at bat and a swing and a Miss, he gets Marcy to strike out to start the game. He goes back to the four seamer this time up and in great location on a 22, count two in round the runner at third and that brings up liam hits and a comebacker that one gets through , but Smith is there and they throw out hicks. The inning is over. Start of the season for Major coming off his best start as a Marlin against Detroit, six innings. One head gave up two runs but they were unearned Bote, shaken up the lineup trying to get on base so far. So good. 1st and 2nd. Nobody start for Major in the Marlins here in the bottom of the first. Here’s Alejandro Osuna swinging away ground ball to shortstop. Lopez has got it. Steps on the bag fires it to first in a double play. Peterson goes to third now there’s two out. Just what Adam Major drew up here is rowdy tale to, he loops one out to shallow left field, Hernandez coming on. Still coming. He slides and he makes the catch. Eriberto Hernandez takes a run away from Texas that was ticketed for the turf in shallow left field down the line. But Eriberto hernandez said no way. So no scores. We begin the top of the second Lopez Hernandez and Johnston up for Miami Chopper to third. backing up young. He’s got a little stat throw to first. Not in time. Nice job going to his backhand, but that had to take him into shallow left and Lopez runs well , he beats that out a productive out moves Lopez to third and in a scoreless ball game at the top of the second, the Marlins have a runner 90 ft away with one out for Troy Johnson and he shoots one into center field for a base hit and the have an early 10 2nd inning lead gives him a four seam fastball up in the zone. A nice job by Johnson being aggressive on. It didn’t hit it well, but with the infield in, it’s going to get over the shortstop’s head leak into center field 1 to 0. Marlins top of the third bases loaded. Lopez singled and scored back in the second. I wouldn’t mind him hitting the same ball he hit for his base hit. It was just a grounder to third base. That would be an easy double play ball. If you attack it, a bouncer left side of the infield, Young will come to the plate. They get the force out. Nice play two in the inning. The lead runner is erased. The ball is hit too slowly for a potential double play. Nice job by Josh coming in and making a clean throw to Higgy and hernandez bounces it to third. Young goes to the bag just like that. Ryder gets out of a bases loaded jam in the third inning of the rookie once again showing some of that Rangers with a tired run aboard for Michael bounces one that’s snagged on the forehand by Norby. He spins, he fires to get the sure out at first base. Nice play by Connor ranging to his forehand and loving it before a little spin on his left knee and there’s one man gone. Durant does push in scoring position a big out from Adam Major there to get freeman and now he’s got to cut through Alejandro Osuna bounced into a double play his first time up in the first inning. Now bouncer up the middle. That one gets through with a hit that gets Durant to the plate and the Rangers have tied the game in the third. Well, Osuna is a man who uses the whole field, hits it into the ground but hits it hard enough up the middle to hit it where they’re not tie up this game at one and get the, go ahead run to third base. You got Peterson at third base. Now for Ronie Telez, 11, that one goes the other way into left field that’s down base hit. Peterson will score heading to third base. Now, Osuna, he’s in drives in a run and the Rangers have their first lead tonight. It’s two to one and that brings up Connor Norby who struck out his first time up first offering to Norby drill to the left field corner and this one gets down for the base hit off the wall. Osuna plays the K and he’ll fire it back to third as Norby ropes doubled into the left corner. That’s a hit every inning. Now for the Marlins, they now have six hits tonight and that brings up eric w his only time up in the second. That one goes all the way to the backstop and on his way to third goes, Norby, it’s a wild pitcher just over threw that pitch. It yanked it to the backstop, be a very important wild pitch in this game. So Norby is at third with one out, that’s a ball and two strikes on wageman and lighter kicks and fires and Eric swings and he laces one to left field. Connor goes back to third. He’s going to tag, here comes the throw to the plate. It won’t be in time, a sacrifice line drive to left field by Eric Wagman. This game is tied at two jack lighter, 80 four pitches under his belt, done a nice job working around some trouble. Yeah, I feel like he has pitched better than the two runs would indicate. And that’s not too bad by the way. Two runs. Two. Gone. Here’s Troy Johnston as Troy swings and he lines one to right field pretty deep. Durant locking up. Gone. Troy Johnston, his fourth major league home run gives the Marlins a 32 advantage in the sixth. Ali. That’s a curveball that absolutely got annihilated. It’s 100 and three miles an hour and you talk about a line drive 20 degrees on that hit to right field. This place is silent. Now, Norby hits one in the air to deep left field back on the warning track at the wall. Ozuna, goodbye back to back go the Marlins for the second time on this road trip and the boo Birds are out here at Globe Life Field, another off speed pitch by lighter and that’s going to be it. Goodbye. Baseball and maybe goodbye Rangers and good night Jack lighter. You might as well start to pull the curtain shut on the Rangers. Here in 2025 Kate Gibson had gone four up and four down out of the bullpen and replacement of adam. He issues a four pitch walk to a now he sees josh Smith. This might be Gibson’s last hitter. Here runner goes swinging to miss throw down to second, a strike out, throw him out to end the sixth inning. Ramirez steals third and behind him hits, steals second. That’s a catching combo right there for the Marlins. The Rangers are going to come back in this one. It’s a big situation right here to get Otto Lopez. The ball popped up short left center Helman over now moving in , he wheels underneath, it makes the catch and that ends the inning. So Webb comes in does his job and Harris pas strands them both. Somebody just got tossed for the Rangers played umpire Stu Sher Water ejecting someone. Maybe the skipper Bruce Bochy and Bo is going to come out and exact his toll here and is now finished and he’s headed back to the dugout. I think they were complaining because Enriquez stepped off the mound and I think the clock wound down and ramirez quickly went out there and I think they were arguing saying that should have been a violation not in the center for Marcy, one on one out. Augustine Ramirez coming up here over to first. They’ve been aggressive all night on the bases now, a run down but 1st and 2nd and they get the tag on Mars and he’s the second out of the inning. You can see his speed even getting back to first that the Marlins are on the verge of winning the series and running their win streak to five and they’re going to count on Calvin Foucher to get the final three outs here in the night will get things started a swing and a high fly ball deep to left. That has a chance. Kyoka gets the Rangers to run big ninth inning. That’s one in the inning. Get two more. Young is on run out there winning run to the plate. O’shea is 3 to 0 and that’s ball four. The winning run is on base and he has good speed. Two on for Jock Peterson has been on twice tonight. A base hit in the first. He walks in the third inning. Dirt gets away again. Runners will advance Langford will take it ramirez doing his best to give the Rangers a chance. Now all it takes is a base hit tying one in third winning run at second three balls, two strikes. The count rangers down to their final strike. Peterson at the plate in the bottom of the ninth and he popped them up shallow left center. Who wants it? Dean myers calling. He makes the catch and the ball game is over five in a row for the Marlins. They’ve won nine of 10. They’ve won the series.

Best team since 2017 wow it’s giving me chills of how this team has grown to become on offense and their identity and man we all hate Sherman but I’ll give him credit for hiring Bendix and Bendix hiring Clayton they have us In the right track. I’ve not felt this happy about a season like this since 2016 when Jose passed away. Let’s get to 80 wins before the season ends and keep playing good baseball on the road. #FIGHTINGFISH
Well done
I wager that, despite his performance in this series, Tellez is out of baseball next year. Same for our old friend, Josh Bell.
Let’s go FISHHHHH, all we gotta do is go 6 out of 7 to make the playoffs, will we have a miracle????.
Let’s go Fish 🐟
That ninth inning had me CLENCHED. I sighed in relief when it was over.
