Seattle Mariners vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | September 20, 2025 MLB Season
Final time. Prober Valdez pitches in an Astros uniform here at Dyken Park as he heads into his free agent season hoping to finish strong and he starts off with a ground ball right to Jos Altuve. One pitch, one out and the ground ball machine gets Randy Rose Arena for the first out and he goes on the first pitch. It’s a strike. The throw is not quite in time. Pretty good throw by Yiner Diaz, but Rodriguez picks up his 28th steal of the year in his second time around as a Mariner. This ball hit well to center field sending Jake Meyers back. Still on the move. It’s over his head and off the wall. That’ll be an RBI double for Suarez coming in to score. Julio Rodriguez and the Mariners take a lead for the second straight night. One to nothing in the first. And now Jorge Palanco, the batter. Ground ball right to Jose Alt. And Alt will make the play for the final out of the inning. Two out walk followed by a double and the Mariners lead one nothing. 120 strikeouts and just 28 walks. hit that first fast ball hard, but he hit it right at the third baseman, Au Heno Suarez. So, Pius stings it, but he’s out number one on one pitch. Now, Paradis down on the fast ball. Going to be the first strike out for Kirby in the second out of the inning. Ground ball right side. Naylor gloves it. He’ll flip to Kirby covering in time. And that’s the final out of the inning. There goes the runner. Naylor is 16 for 16 as a Mariner in steals make it 17 for 17. This guy has decided to pick up the stolen bases since joining Seattle and he skies this one to center. Jake Meyers drifting back. Naylor is tagging at second. Meyers makes the catch and Naylor’s going to head to third. He’ll get there with one out. First goal was a minor league season where he had 11. Oh, that ball’s hit really well to left field deep enough to score the run. Naylor is going to tag and score as Victor Robas gets the job done. A stolen base and then two advancements on sacrifice flies. The first one’s not a sack fly obviously, but you’re right. The wheels tonight helping them score some runs. Kareah knocks it down, stays with it and throws out JP Crawford. Crober gets through the inning, but the Mariners with a leadoff hit. Stolen base, couple of fly balls. It’s now two nothing. But they found a way to get some of those young guys playing as a cohesive unit. This one right to the second baseman Palanco. He’ll flip to Crawford and they turn the double play on Jake Meyers. George Kirby gets to a three-0 count. Ends up getting a double in the air right field. Pretty well hit all the way to the bullpen and gone. That’s a new Mariner record. 57th home run for Cal Raleigh. Hit an 02 pitch out the other way into the right center field bullpen. his 22nd as a right-hand hitter and he breaks the Mariners all-time record that he shared with Ken Griffy Jr. before that swing. There’s a ball towards the middle of the diamond and a broken bat off the bat of Cam Smith. Cam retired as Palano makes the play for out number one. I love it. That’s going to stay fair. Cal Raleigh will make the play. Car retired for the final out of the inning. Goes for the first 12 innings. Runner goes. The pitch is wide and the steel for Roblace ahead of the tag by Pena. A little collision at second base this time around. Gets Crawford swinging there for his third strike out of the night. 11th time he has gotten Crawford on strikes in his career. One hit, one left on Jose to center field sending Rodriguez back and he eases up before he gets to the warning track to put it away for out number two. for the 15th time in 16 games. That’s a strike. Wow. What is going on with his zone? Victor Kerini would like to know. Kirby’s good enough, but he’s getting some help from Shane Livven Spartner tonight. Ground ball right side. No one’s home. Rodriguez has a base hit. Raleigh will stop at second. And the Mariners have runners on first and second with one out. Ground ball through the hole. Base hit being held at third is Cal Raleigh. As the throw by Sanchez comes home. The bases will be loaded. Just missed with a fast ball. That’ll be a bases loaded walk as the Mariners get their fourth run of the game. Trying to keep it right there. There’s a base hit to right. One run’s going to score. Being held at third is Jorge Palanco. RBI pinch hit single for Canzone. It’s now a five nothing Mariners lead. Saw this one. He could almost sweep Robless off the plate. Went fast ball instead and got him on three pitches. So good work of Murray to get Robless, but the Mariners scored two runs in the inning. That ball hit down the line and left and it’s hooking towards the wall. It’s a fair ball playing it out of the corner as Jesus Sanchez. Suarez has his second double of the night. That ball into center field. That’ll be down for a hit and pass Jake Myers and head towards the wall. Cam Smith slides to stop it from going to the track and he’s going to hold Palanco to a double. Good play by Cam not allowing a triple but it’s a runscoring base hit. Couple of doubles here to start the inning and a ground ball to the right side. Pñena all the way over from shortstop to make the play. Naylor retired and Palanco moves to third. Got him. Gordon ends up getting that sweeper for a strike. Hand zone down for the second out. First strike out for Colton. Robless breaks his bat. Carlos Kareah has to move out of the way of the barrel and Jesus Sanchez makes the catch for the final out of the inning. Couple of little tapper is going to stay fair. Nothing Suarez can do. That’ll be an infield hit for Yiner Diaz. He’s got two hits tonight. He’s a one out base runner. Jesus Sanchez delivers a base hit to left field. Now the Astros with back-to- back hits just like to start the sixth inning. This time with one out in the seventh. Little tapper to third. Vargas, excuse me, Suarez is going to make the play to help out Vargas. Oh. Oh man. Hands, man. [Applause] Good grief. He’s got a pad on that bottom hand, but still Jeremy Skies one to left field. Pretty well hit near the wall looking up. Slam. JP3 scores four. And the Astros right back in at six to four. Got him. A Rose Arena may have caught Yiner Diaz as he apologized after that back swing, but that’s a strike out for Ochre and for his 57th home run of the year since then. A walk, a strike out, and now a ground out. One, two, three inning for Steven Ochre. Astros with a little bow. Down six to four heading. Oh yeah. Down the right field line. Alum to third played by Robas. He’ll be held at third. Second and third. One out. Tying run at second. Terantini a double. Aluve on third. Duban on second. And a swing and a miss. Foul tip caught by Raleigh. Big strike out for Bazardo for out number two. Spy picks up a huge strikeout for the Mariners. They pick up backto-back strikeouts against Yiner Diaz. Little tapper on the right side. New first baseman is Christian Walker. He’ll get to the bag just ahead of JRod. All of his hits in this series have been extra base hits as he sends this one to deep left field. Duban making a jumping catch right up against the wall. Duban got back there in a hurry and got him. Went too far. Palano down on strikes. Astros need a couple to stay alive. A three. Oh my gosh. Jake Meyers in some pain as he is hit on the hand. That is the third consecutive inning that a pitch has come up and in on an Astros hitter. It was Cam Smith hit by a pitch in the seventh. Jose Altuve took one around the chin for a ball in the eighth. And now Jake is hit on the hand. Uno strikes out the rookie for the first out of the ninth inning. And now slider down. Ball four. Pñena fired up with that walk. Tying run on base. Winning run to the plate. Little flare right center field coming on Rodriguez. Diving play by Robas and they are going to double up Jake Meyers to end the game. Myers was off and Rob just made a game-saving catch and turned a double play. The Astros get challenged, but it might not be worth it. It looked like Robas made the catch and there is no challenge. That’ll be it. a 6-4 final on a great play

I had to call a 🚑 , I almost fainted
I'm a Lefebvre Belebvre
Astro’s announcer is so salty 😂
That was a helluva catch!
Mariners winning the season series with this game essentially means they have a 1 game lead even if they end up tied with the Astros. Huge win today, this lineup is deadly.
Lol on the Robles catch you can still hear a part of Aaron Goldsmith's call for the M's broadcast on the Astros broadcast because he's THAT hyped, and i mean how could you not
The WS is gonna be Mariners/Brewers and the league is gonna hate it but it's gonna be the best.
I love hearing Aaron Goldsmith loosing his mind in the background on Cals HR and that Robles catch, Astros announcer so sad and quiet they have to boost the mic
Wow! Nice catch.
LETSSAAA goooo!!!
That’s the weakest grand slam I’ve ever seen.
THE MARINERS ARE THE ASTROS DADDY! Anthony Martinez, that one’s for you.
Where’s Anthony??
Mariners fans are gonna remember this play for a long long time. Wow!!!!
Before the season started I joked Mariners would make the World Series. I wasn’t even sure if they’d make the post season, but it looks like they will and who knows. Maybe they can get to the final stage for the first time
This Mariners team is finishing the season looking like real champions! The effort, the drive, the determination!
Astros announcers instead of Goldsmith was a choice.
Robles looked like Superman!
Thank you VR for the catch of the year 😮. And thank you Mariners for the team win. Go Mariners 👍💪
The Astros expected to have an easy time of it during this series because they had just swept Texas. But the Rangers have one of the worst offenses in baseball and the Astros could have used batting practice pitchers and still swept the series. Seattle has above average hitting and they’re really hot right now. If they stay hot like this in the postseason they definitely have a shot at winning it all. Cleveland is on fire now too. Toronto has cooled off and I don’t know what’s happened to the Tigers. I don’t think the Yankees will win the A.L. Pennant this year. As for Houston, they’re just not a powerhouse team like they were in the late teens and early twenties. If they even make the playoffs they’ll probably be knocked out early like they were last year.
盗塁って本当に重要な試合だと思ったわ
October 10, 1964: Mickey Mantle’s record World Series home run wins it in 9th Seattle Mariners 0 for 0 you need a World Series Win and 54 + ? Grammar>
Imagine not being able to beat the team that has never been to the world series. Also, imagine having to come up with a whole new identity soon.
