Misa on Putting on Sharks Game Uniform for 1st Time, Scoring His 1st Point
got more into the game. Um, by the second, third period, I thought I was playing better and um, you know, as part of the first game, so looking be better tomorrow. As Sam the same thing again is just the intensity, the Sharks ducks rivalry, you guys are all prospects. You guys haven’t played in the NHL against each other as a team. You know, obviously Graphers got some NHL time, Luca, but the the the competitiveness was there. What made it so scrappy and just was it kind of cool like drafted by the Sharks, you know, the history of the rivalry. You see that carry over into this tournament even though it’s a prospect tournament? Yeah, it’s it’s fun to be part of those games. The more, you know, more physical it is the the better hockey. It’s it’s just chippier and stuff like that, but um you know, it’s not so much my game, but um you know, it’s it’s good to see the guys defending themselves out there and, you know, uh having each other’s backs. Uh what did it uh kind of feel like that moment putting on the Sharks jersey for the first time in a game situation? Yeah, it felt great. Um you know, uh great organization, so just happy to be a part of it. Um it was a great first game for us and um you know moving on to tomorrow. Michael the you know the game itself uh is obviously so high speed and and it’s only going to be faster for you as you you know go through camp as you play preeason and all that. But it certainly but it looks like from just side this that you you play with there’s no panic in your game that doesn’t you know doesn’t feel like you’re rushed out there when you’re making plays whatsoever. Does that does it feel that way to you? Yeah. I mean you just kind of had that nature where it’s you know you’re not you don’t feel like you’re you know rushed into making the whatever play you want to make. Yeah. Um, you know, I think there’s times where I, you know, try to slow the play down. Um, just find the best next play I can make, but, um, then there’s other times where this guy’s on you in split second, so you got to make fast decisions. But, you know, overall trying to slow the play down. Yeah. Something I try to do. Yeah. What have you seen from uh, Eigor just in terms of his growth and, you know, nice to see his name next to your name on the on the lineup sheet? Yeah, he uh, he looked great today. Um, just big boy. Um, easy to play with. Um, you know, great. I’ve had good chemistry with him for the second year now. So, um, you know, just looking to continue that. On your assist to Colin, what did you see on that play? Um, I saw the goalie slide to me really fast. So, I knew if I tried to jam it, it probably wouldn’t go in. So, I just waited and saw he was kind of open back door and he’s just not going to miss that. So, was happy. What helped you settle in? You said you started slow. What helped you kind of settle in as the game went on? Did you just need to shake off the rust? Something like that? A little bit of both. I mean, I just trying to get the puck touches, um, you know, get on the for check, just feel feel productive in some sort of way, get yourself involved is something I try to do. And, um, you know, when the puck’s on my stick more, I usually tend to make plays. So, that’s that’s how I help myself. A lot of first time prospects here, but is there anybody, you know, that maybe stood out to you, one of your teammates? You seem like a guy who’s kind of always watching. Who who anybody stand out to you tonight? Yeah. Um, I love playing with Quinton Musty. Um, such a good player. um had a had a great game. Couple points on the board, no big deal, but uh yeah, he’s he’s great. Um so lucky to play with him. All right. Thank you, Michael.
