Cincinnati Reds Manager Terry Francona Reacts to 6-3 Win Over Chicago Cubs

that we were one run better. That’s what I really liked. Um did a lot of good things. You know, Steo’s home run to right to to stretch it out a little bit is huge. Um we did a lot of good things. Ellie making a play that, you know, game saving play. There a lot of good things happened tonight. What uh what did you see from Latell in his five innings? You know what? He was pretty good. Um, I just think, you know, DJ and I had talked before the game, especially after his last game, that where we’re at this season, we want to, if we get to a certain point and we think we got enough in our bullpen, that’s good enough. And he got us to that point. I was going to ask, this felt kind of like a playoff situation. Obviously, you guys to go trying to get there, but the way you manage the way the way Well, I I think that there has to be some measure of urgency that, you know, um you’re probably right in June he’d have gone back out there, you know, and pitched, but we’re not in June. You know, you uh fifth inning, you had the puncher. Was that just seizing on the opportunity that you kind of Thank you for saying you know what and he’s there was also I mean Andrew Har is hard not to put in. I know it’s early but I looked at a couple of the even couple of the righties and Andrew Hard faced both of them that I thought would come in late and he’d have some success. So just you know kind of like Steer did Andrew Hart always has a chance to run a ball out of the ballpark. How’s he hang Austin? He he he his back uh really locked up. It actually he did it on a swing earlier and then he wanted to stay in the game and and he just couldn’t. So they’re working on him now. They’ll work on him tomorrow. My guess is realistically try to get him through not playing tomorrow and hopefully with a day off he’ll be okay. What did you say to Tyler Stevenson after that home run in the eighth? Well, he had come up to me before and he said, “If he walks, you want me to bunt?” I said, “No.” I said, “I want you to hit in the third row.” I think he hit it in the third row. He’s very coachable.
