Giants vs. Dodgers Game Highlights (9/21/25) | MLB Highlights
Clayton Kershaw is slated to be addressing the Dodger Stadium crowd. I think they gave him three minutes. We’ll see if he goes less than or more than that. Of course, Kers, he can have all the time he wants. 22 can. Wow. Um, it’s been an amazing 18 years. I want to thank each and every one of you for being here and I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s been um the most impactful 18 years of my life. Um, I’ve raised four kids in LA and to get to be here with you today and just get to say thank you one more time is just the most amazing thing in the world. So, thank you guys so much. Thank you for everything. And remember, we got another month left. So, we’ll see you at the end of October. Last four games, she carrying an RA below one and a half. Dave Roberts telling the media today, EMTT Sheen is as sweet a guy as you’ll meet, but make no mistake, he’s a killer. And there are two men down for the Giants in the first. One-1 pitch. This one is sliced toward the right center field gap. Long run for Pahz. He gets there and runs it down for out number three. No runs, one hit, one left. And for the Giants making his first big league start. He was starting most of the year in Sacramento. Is Trevor McDonald. He’s got the big sinker. 90 RA. He’s only thrown two innings, given up two runs. One walk, one strike out. See what you got, big fella. So Tonnie has homerred in each of the last two games here to the opposite field each time. Swing and a miss. And this one he missed. Good fast ball. 94 miles an hour. A sinker. It had action running away from Otani. Swung on. That is lace to left. That’s a base hit for Freddy. Freeman is aboard with a two out single. So with two down, the Dodgers get their first hit. And there’s Max Muny into left field coming on in a hurry. and making a dive caught by Elliot Ramos. He lunged forward, ended up having to backhand it as the ball was slicing away from him, caught it, and then did a sort of a tumbling roll. Alex Call leading off for the Dodgers last of the third. Giants nothing. Dodgers nothing. Hit to left. Alex Call didn’t get both cheeks into that one, but it still went quite a ways so far. for Trevor McDonald. One thing he’s doing very well is throwing strikes. He’s been in attack mode. Rushing hits a fly ball right field. Going back is Gilbert and he’ll stop short of the track and make the catch. Two down. Otani now with 53 home runs, tied with Kyle Schwarber for the most in the National League. He’s hit 29 of those home runs at home, including homering in the last couple games. Otani hits a liner to right coming in. Gilbert. He’ll catch it and the inning is over. Three fly balls, three outs. McDonald three strong innings here at the start of this game. We’ll go to the fourth. A nothing nothing score. Game 81 at Dodger Stadium in this regular season. Final one at home. Dodgers and Giants for a fourth time. Win today would be a sweep for LA. And Chapman was walking toward the dugout like that was strike three. Sheen was getting ready to walk around like it was strike three. Everybody except Ryan Additton and Sheen says that will assuredly be the end of Chapman. The umpire is doing an outstanding job, but when you have three sets of world class eyes thinking it’s a strike and your set says no secondly going, I might have missed that one. Has used the elevated fast to get all four of his strikeouts. Didn’t use the heater, but he got the same result. I think it’s a change up that they’re trying to get down, but they just fool him with the change of speeds. He’s on it timing wise. He just misses it. Two outs in the fourth. Jung Huli for a second time. He’s 0 for one. Popped him up in left field. Pes drifts over and makes the catch and the side is retired in order. Good work by Em Sheen. Second time round for Trevor McDonald. Freddy Freeman has the only hit in this game for LA. up the middle. Cas jump throw. Got him. How about that play? Yes, sir. Holy CS coming in ready. Take a look at this jump. He’s almost in shortstop range. Derek Jeter jumped and fires an absolute strike. Good stretch from Eldridge as well. Two outs on five pitches for McDonald in the fifth. Second plate appearance for Call. He flew out to left. Call sprays it to right field. That’s down. It splits the gap between Lee and Gilbert. The helmet comes flying off of call, but he’s going to hang up at second with a standup double. And for the first time in the game, there is a runner at second base. Neither team had gotten a runner to second so far today. Now Dalton rushing. Here is strike three called. Another back door curveball. Came in at the knees. That runner that got to second was stranded at seven. And EMTT Sheen ties his careerh high with 10 strikeouts. He’s just he’s been marvelous today. You know the goal of a starting pitcher, go out and give your ball club a chance to win. Well, he’s done that and even more. 15 in a row set down by EMTT Sheen, Maxy, Andy Pah, and Michael Conforto on the schedule in the bottom of the seventh. He takes a walk. Edgy, it could have been a strike, especially ways downward movement is punched through the right side by PZ. First two Dodgers on back-to- back two strike base runners for the Dodgers. No outs in the seventh and Michael Conforto digs in. Two on and nobody out. Slash to left field down for a hit. They’re going to send Maxy. There won’t be a relay. He scores and the Dodgers grab the lead. Michael Conorto with three hits yesterday and he picks up an RBI here and the Dodgers break on top. It’s a little late to break on top, but it is a good time to break on top for EMTT Sheen. Puts him in line for a W. Rohos gets this bunt down to the third base side. The only play is at first, and Bivvens gets Rojos by a step, but a productive first out, getting two into scoring position. Dodgers have broken through here in the seventh inning. They’ve scored the first and only run of the game. Vivvens trying to limit it to just the one. Edmond hits a liner, diving. Eldridge catches, stands up, throws to third, picked out of the dirt by Chapman, and it’s a double play. How about that, Bryce Eldridge? He has been working on that defense. A lunging catch of the low liner to not just get the one out and save a run or two, but then to get a double play. This is exactly what you need to answer the lead off runner line. A line drive base hit to right field toward the foul line. Hustling around second, digging for third is CS. Here comes the throw to third. Comes all the way through, but CS was already there. And the Giants have runners at first and third with nobody out. Patrick Bailey is going to be entered into the game. Drive down the right field line, hooking toward the corner. It is a fair ball. It bounces up and over the wall near the foul pole for an automatic double. So Car has scored the tying run. Gilbert has to stop at third. I think Gilbert could easily have scored himself on that play and the fans are booing Blake Trinan. Now they give the automatic walk here to Devers with first base open and we’ll set up the ground ball double play situation as Willie Adamus will bat inside and he walks in a run. The Giants have gone ahead two to one. And listen to this crowd. They are very hostile toward Blake Trident. Dodger bullpen has had some difficulties the last few weeks and Trident is one of the guys really struggled and these fans are not happy about it. Here’s Matt Chapman. And there’s a slow roller to short charge by Betts. His only play is the first. Slings it over there just in time to get Chapman as Bailey crosses the plate. It’s a second very softly hit ground ball of the inning that the Giants have used to good effect and it is three to one. Rushing aboard tying run to the plate. The reigning MVP miss. He struck it out. Fast ball up and in at 94 miles an hour and he got it by him. Mookie Bats without a hit today. Swing and there’s a drive in the deep right center field back and to his left. It’s playable over the catch of Jung Hu Lee near the warning track near the 375 marker out there. Out number two. That one faded quickly. So two down. Here comes Freddy Freeman. Grounded right to the second baseman. C has it. Makes a backhanded flip to Adamos at second for the force out on rushing. Inning over. So two down in the last of the ninth inning. The Giants ahead three to one. And here is Conforto. Got him. And that’s the ball game. Well, if you’re going to win one game, Hunter, in a four game series, you might make it the last one. Yeah, you you fly back a little bit happier. Salvage.

First go giants!
Bye post season choker
The warmth and sincerity you share through your content always makes me feel safe and appreciated 🌞🌻
What a great comeback in the 8th to avoid LA sweeping us!! Good thing we did an extra game in the series since LA won the other games! Now let’s hope we beat the Cards tomorrow and I’ll be at tomorrow’s game 9/22 and hope Verlander seriously has it!! Great game boys!! 🧡🖤👏🏻👏🏻
Under 5 minute gang
Always nice to beat the Dodgers, seldom as that is.
Dodgers are too good, happy with Giants avoiding a sweep in hostile territory.
Clayton: you've been a pain in our ass for years, but good luck in retirement.
Yes!
3 games back with 6 games left. Postseason ain't looking good fam.
Chapman is garbage
Sybau, kershaw and the rest of you Charlie Kirk sheep.
Is Kershaw retiring?
Too little, too late.😢
We couldn’t win two?!?!
Always fun when the Dodgers fans are upset.
Yay! At least we won 1! Giants seriously needs to invest in an all star offensive player. Dodgers’ offense is too loaded and produce a lot of runs. Good thing we have a new pitcher that’s good and they had no scouting report on!
FINALLY!!!
Let's go giants
Irrelevant team playing irrelevant games. I hope we finally get a better season next year 😕
