We got injury reports and injury alerts from Santa Clara. We know the situation. He left the game. It’s a knee injury. Um we’re expecting to hear from Kyle Shanahan. Matt, uh it didn’t look good. However, when he left for the locker room, he was walking by his own means, which does say something. Yeah. Well, I think that right there, the thumbs down signal says more than anything. But yeah, well, you know, let’s just wait and see what it is. Um, you know, generally when a player is ruled out in the first half of a game with a knee injury, um, it doesn’t necessarily portend good things. So, we’ll we’ll see what happens. But, um, I would say this that even without Nick Bosa out there for the 49ers defense to give up 15 points, and really they gave up 13 because there was the safety. Uh, a tremendous all-around effort. It’s very difficult for them to generate a pass rush without Nick Bosa. and they didn’t always get a lot of pressure on Kyler Murray, but uh they came up big when they had to. And and that’s the thing, there’s enough talent on this defense to where, and this is going to sound strange, you lose a player, and we don’t know for how long, you lose a player of Nick Bosa’s ilk, it’s going to be problematic, but it’s not a killer, but when you look at it short-term and long term, and Matt, you were just talking about it from a pressure standpoint, having Bosa out there makes all the difference in the world. You just look at the pressure percentage for the Niners. what they were trying to get on Kyler Murray was up there over 50%. When Bosa went out, it dropped below 30%. So just his presence out there means so much more for the Ners being able to get pressure on the quarterback. But and again, we hope this is not the case. If he’s not out there for a stretch of time, it doesn’t the NerS because you still have Fred Warner, because you still have Lenor and you have Wyers and a bunch of these young guys that are filling in right now. Upton Stout today. If he doesn’t make that play, we’re not having the conversation we’re having right now. I I just don’t know where that pass rush comes from without Bosa. Oh, yeah. You know, like when Bosa’s out there, he attracts so many eyeballs and he attracts, you know, becomes a numbers game. They put two guys on him that leaves other guys free. And I don’t know that the 49ers have anybody that’s going to gain that kind of attention from a post. He he finished two games in a row. I mean, Huff got the the strip sack fumble last week, but the previous defensive possession, he ended it like he ended it in Seattle. Well, again, I think there’s two things. You still have Fred Warner first and foremost. I know it’s just one guy, and I know he’s playing middle linebacker, but you still have Fred Warner. He’s the best player on that defense, but to me, this is where Robert Salah comes in. This is where he has to scheme. This is where he has to figure out a way to get a pass rush if Bosa is out for a game or for a few games. But again, I think in previous years, you lose Nick Bosa for any amount of time, it would absolutely this defense. It’s not going to these guys. They’re just going to have to do things
