[FULL] Brewers are NL Central Champs for 3rd straight season: Pat Murphy and more players reactions

at the top of the ninth. We’ll once we have a final out, we’ll bring you that reaction inside the Brewers clubhouse. And Tim, it’s one of the unique things about this sport is how we can watch the scoreboard and just see so many things at play, especially in the National League picture right now. I mean, this is a Red’s team that’s playing for way more than just spoiling the Cubs NL Central hopes. Yeah, I mean, they’re they’re really putting together something pretty amazing. Look at the guys in the clubhouse. I wonder what they’re watching on TV right now. Uh but yeah, turn your brain off from baseball. like just bust open the champagne and have a great time. That’s what I mean. The fans are waiting at Bush Stadium. They’re looking on their phones. Everyone’s kind of getting ready. Uh get all your spikes, your glove, all your stuff you want to keep dry. Get that behind plastic. Uh these are great moments. Well, Castro just struck out for the Cubs. So, we’re down to the final out at Great American Ballpark as Red’s fans are on their feet right now just like the Brewers are on their feet inside the clubhouse. all smiles and everybody’s got something to watch right now with hopes that we all get the same shared celebratory experience for these Milwaukee Brewers who have deserved every single bit of it. Looking to lock up their third straight central crown and fourth in the last five seasons. And it didn’t go as they had hoped at Bush Stadium. But overall, Tim, as I said at the top of the show, they’ve earned the right to celebrate here on September 21st, the right to win another division. Yeah. I mean, and they were playing a little short-handed, right? I mean, there’s a lot of things, a lot of guys that didn’t play, especially in the last game. Uh, Contrarus, you know, everybody’s trying to figure out roles, guys getting rest when they can. So, there were they didn’t come out full strength, I don’t think, in this ball game in particular. But, uh, either way, hopefully the results going to be the same. We get a out right here from the Reds and suddenly the Brewers are going to be changing those frowns into smiles and laughter. Andre Monasterio cheering there. They’re down to the final strike right now at Great American Ballpark. A one and two count as Michael Bush is at the plate for the Chicago Cubs. And what a moment there inside the Visitors Clubhouse and for those in attendance. I mean, you have to give props to the Brewers fans that made the trip down to St. Louis to enjoy this environment with Milwaukee as well. Yeah, just cool moments all the way around. Brewers fans have traveled so well this year. I think sometimes we don’t we don’t talk about it enough, but uh it’s pretty amazing how Brewers fans continually show up and show out and cheer for this ball club. And you know, you got to think as soon as they’re done celebrating with each other inside the clubhouse that some of those guys are going to start trickling out to the field because they know they know the fans showed up for them. Uh and it’s time that they come out and and show up for the fans. Michael Bush walked. So Pete Cro Armstrong is now at the plate for the Chicago Cubs. And there you see the Brewers watching like we are as PCA heads to the plate. A one- nothing lead for the Cincinnati Reds right now in the top of the ninth. And they’re all just hovered. I mean, you see Joey Ortiz getting a little food in. Uh this team does have to fly to San Diego at some point today because they play three out west beginning tomorrow night. Yeah, I mean in a lot of that I mean the Padres’s are not going to take those games lightly, but the Brewers can wrap up a lot right here. Uh the problem is they just have to wait for it. But you know the Reds are a good ball club. They’re they’re right now in a a team mountain visit trying to figure out what they’re going to try to do uh here to get Pete Crow Armstrong out. So I mean this is this is what you do and this is what playoff baseball is. This is what it feels like and every team’s watching another team right now. And what I love about the Brewers and what Pat Murphy brings to the table, he doesn’t want guys doing this year round. This is I guarantee they’re not watching a lot of TV stuff uh throughout the season, only here in these kind of moments. Tim, take me back to 2008. The last time you were in the clubhouse, a situation like this, you guys got off the field, you’re waiting and watching collectively. I mean, what are the emotions like for these guys? Well, you’re just We were all cramped in the tiny kitchen before they renovated it and we’re watching one little TV and I was sitting next to Eric Gier and everyone’s in there just they’re rooting on other teams which is really fun, you know, like you don’t ever do that. But what I really loved about it is you’re all just reminiscing. You’re reminiscing about everything that happened that year, everything that happened in that particular game. You’re laughing about moments. You’re just the excitement, man. You feel like you’re just shaking. So, um, yeah, get some food in you. So, for hopefully they can get some drinks. Pete Crow Armstrong fouls it away. Still holding on. We’re one strike away right now. You can see Admir living and dying on every single pitch right now. Like he’s on the mound. I know. I know. That’s awesome. And it gives us another chance to get our belly shirts on just like Abner uh to to get in on the festivities. Who do you think’s going to celebrate the hardest right now for the Brewers in in a few minutes? probably you and I cuz yeah I mean I’m everyone should take part in this. I mean this is such a collaborative effort the organization top to bottom. Um everyone deserves this. I mean I I love the emotions on Andre Monasterio’s face. Avenue Rebe, you see Blake Perkins, Grant Anderson, all watching and enjoying what they hope is going to be an NL Central crown in a matter of moments. We’ll be there to document all of this experience for the Brewers. [Music] and ball game. Your Milwaukee Brewers are National League Central Division champions. The magic number has dropped to zero. [Music] A shared celebration for the best team in Major League Baseball as the Brewers file into the Visitors Clubhouse at Bush Stadium. And celebrate they will. For the third straight year in the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Milwaukee Brewers are National League Central Division champions. [Music] [Applause] And as this roster gets ready to unccork the bottles in the visitors clubhouse, we want to welcome in Brian Anderson and Vinnie Ratino who are sticking around in St. Louis for us. And guys, what a moment for this team and they deserve every second of it. Yes. And we’ll watch along with you as this clubhouse celebration is imminent and everybody grabbing their bottles. And this was the celebration that the Brewers were most interested in. Remember they had the champagne toast when they made it to the postseason and now they are ready to do the full spray. And once again they’re going to do it in St. Louis. It’s got to be no more satisfying feeling than to do it in the home of a division rival. Brewers didn’t win the game today, Vinnie, but they’re still going to be the champions of the National League Central. And what a year. I mean, they have a lot to be proud of. uh you know, three uh division championships in the first 51 years of the franchise, and all of a sudden, three in a row in four out of the last five years, 95 wins so far with a chance to get to the the franchise record of wins, which is 96. So, they could easily do that. So, what an accomplishment again to win the division. And this celebration is going to be welld deserved. It’s been a great year again under Pat Murphy’s leadership. Well, and just so happy that the way it has worked out, we can bring it all to you. We’re sticking around, folks. We’re going to be here. Sophia’s down in the clubhouse. Uh we’ve got cameras down there, as you can see. And this is going to be a welldeserved celebration for a team that nobody thought would be at this position. And to do this before you go on another leg of this road trip to San Diego and then to finish the game of the Reds, the Reds are a real factor now. They’re tied in the wild card race, fellas. Yeah. And and BA and Vinnie, I know Vinnie, you grew up rooting for this team. BA, you’ve been around this team for upwards of 20 years. What made this team special in your mind? I know there’s a lot of baseball still to play for them. Two star. Vinnie, go ahead. Yeah. You know, just the fact that this is the this is a bluecollar town. this is a bluecollar state and the fact that this is a blueco collar team kind of embodies exactly what this team what the organization really just kind of you know and how much the Brewers just mean to everybody around here right everybody around the state of Wisconsin and the fact that they win again the underdogs the the little engine that could that’s so special to everybody and and again I grew up here I grew up in Racine just south of Milwaukee still live there I’m a fan of the team I’ve been a fan my entire life and and it’s just so special ba just the the fact that the excuse me that this team is able to win again. Just uh they are now one of the winningest franchises ever since 2003, right? Uh just just it’s remarkable what they’ve been able to do with less resources than the rest of the league. And it’s going to be a fun October. This is going to be their year. BA I really can feel it. I know everybody else can too. Well, wouldn’t that be something special? And I thought Vinnie hit on it well. This is the golden era of Brewers baseball right now. and to win three straight national and central division titles when you’ve got teams like the Cubs heavy payroll. Cardinals have the opportunity to have a heavy payroll. They’ve been down the last few years. Uh obviously the Reds are coming on strong. Be careful what you wish for with Cincinnati because uh this Reds team, they are built for this last run right now and they just swept the Cubs and have now tied the Mets into wild card race. there could be a scenario where the Brewers would play the Reds in the Division Series. I mean, that that’s one possibility uh that is out there. So, it’s just a pretty incredible run of success for the Milwaukee Brewers and for this team in particular to have a chance at the best record and the most wins in franchise history. And we talk about all the reclamation projects, uh the little engine that could, the average Joe’s, all of that. But right now, this team is the team with the best record in baseball. And they are hoping to accomplish something that hasn’t been done in Milwaukee, and that’s win a World Series. And they still have a realistic chance at best record in the National League. Obviously, the best record in Major League Baseball, which means if they do make it to the World Series, fellas, it could all come through Milwaukee with homefield advantage. And there’d be no more special place than Milwaukee, Wisconsin to have that home field advantage through the World Series. So, uh, we’ll wait and watch with you and we’ll enjoy this celebration as the Brewers are ready to crown a National League Central Division title once again, their third straight. Look at Sophia down there. She’s going poncholess. And, you know, it’s going to be a wild scene here in a matter of moments. I’m sure there’s going to be a speech from Pat Murphy. He’s always good at that. And this is probably a good time to also bring up the fact that there is a little Uker magic going with this team and I think all these guys feel it in the clubhouse. Uh Bob’s not with us. Bob’s last celebration was when they clinched a division last season, but you know Bob Uker is with us in all of this and I think that’s what makes it extra special. You see the clubhouse staff has put up uh Uke’s signature there. So it’s a really cool scene. These are why the reasons why we do what we do to be able to watch the team you cover all year have a celebration and enjoy a moment together like this that is so welld deserved. Yeah. There’s nobody who enjoyed these moments and these celebrations more than Bob Uker and that’s what made him a part of the Brewers and why these players loved him so much, why fans loved him so much. Ba Vinnie, thank you so much for the time. appreciate you guys and uh we’ll continue to bring you that color house celebration once they decide to pop those champagne bottles. And we heard BA mention best record in baseball. The last time the Brewers actually had the best record in baseball going into the postseason was 1982 when they made the World Series. And the last time that a team won the Central Division three years in a row was actually the Cardinals back in 2013 through 2015. And now the Brewers have an opportunity to celebrate inside their visitors clubhouse. And here’s a look at postseason appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s the golden era of Brewers baseball, Tim. Pretty incredible stretch we have seen since 2018. That was the year that Christian Yelich joined this Milwaukee Brewers team. Yeah, the Yelich era for sure. But you look around at other teams, especially in the Centrals, they always talk about rebuilding. They’re all trying to do something, but the Brewers continually have a winning formula, right? You have the guys that are the franchise players. You got to have pitching. You got to have some position players. You got to have a back end of a bullpen that elite. And then what happens? Success follows. Why? Because you add the right pieces that you need at the right time. And also depth. Depth has been key. Obviously last year, this year probably more so. Uh pretty remarkable that they’re able to continue this kind of success. And VA is right. Uh especially these other teams going up against these giant payrolls. But what they’re finding out is that there’s guys that are on other people’s radars that they can turn into hot commodities. And there’s a lot of guys that are going to be celebrating in a playoff atmosphere right here for the first time in their careers. There’s a lot of those guys going around and they’re not going to ever forget it. Why? Because they were brought in. They did their job and helped this team continue the success that they’ve had. And I imagine we’ll hear from Matt Arnold, the architect of this entire thing, the reigning MLB executive of the year. He was the first to win that in franchise history last year and could be the favorite to repeat this year, just like Pat Murphy. That man could be the favorite to repeat as National League manager of the year as Pat Murphy getting set to address his team. Brewers won the Central Division in each of his first two years as manager, the first in Major League Baseball since 2020. Roco Baldelli did it with the Twins. Dave Roberts did it with the Dodgers in the same year. And now they have 95 wins and just two more away from a franchise record in Murphy’s second year with the club. You know, I’m not surprised. When Murf came in last year and he said, “This is the type of baseball we’re going to play.” Um, it’s not that the Brewers weren’t good. It’s just a little bit different style of being well-rounded. You knew this team was going somewhere. And so everything that they were doing good last year, they have excelled at this year. So Pat Murphy leading the charge there. Can’t forget about Ricky Weekes either. U you know, these are the type of guys that nothing slips through the cracks. They address everything. He talked about um with Bob Casus. You see that clip talking about, hey, sometimes you got to bench a player and sometimes it doesn’t even warrant a conversation. The player knows, you know, it just says going forward, this is what we expect. That’s a big things. That’s a leader right there. They have the second most division titles in Major League Baseball. And Pat Murphy addressing his team, the Central Division Champions. Hey guys, listen. One of the things that we’ve realized is baseball is not a game of perfect. It’s messy. I’ve heard you guys call it the jungle. But the little things make the difference. The little things. The little things make the difference. And you son of a guns did the little fames over and over when no one no one said that the Milwaukee Brewers would be in the running to win the division. Not only did you win the division, you crushed it. Now we know what’s next, but I just want to get some people up here. First, Mark and any of the ownership group, Mark Antasio, come on up, Mark, please. Um, this could be a tough spot to be in here. and not have this here. Come on up here, Mark. Okay. We’d also like to get the ivory tower up here. The ivory tower. All the members of the ivory tower, please. Will performance especially Rojo Arnold was in line for his 18th straight executive of the year. Ward, come on up here, Matt. Stand in front here if you will. Mine. Okay. Carl Muller, we couldn’t do it without him. Hudges Castro ivory Tower. All right, guys. We know we got a left, but celebrate what you’ve done. Celebrate what you’ve done because it’s [ __ ] special. All right. What do you say? [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Laughter] take it in. It’s a regular feeling, a regular sound around Milwaukee Brewers baseball over the last couple of years. and Tim, what they hope is the first of many of these over the next month. You can see the shirts, division champs. They got the goggles, the hats, they got each other. Incredible season, man. These guys deserve all of this. What what what awesome uh times that they’re going to have going forward. And I mean, you can play 20 years and not be involved in something like that. I mean, Yelich says that over and over again. Don’t take this for granted, even though he I feel like he’s done about a dozen of those, right? uh since being a brewer, but it’s such a rare gift to be able to celebrate with your teammates in this fashion. So, yeah, this is this is beautiful. Embrace these moments. It’s really hard to get to this point in Major League Baseball. It’s hard to be a fan of teams and be able to enjoy this year in and year out like Brewers fans have. So, enjoy every opportunity that you get to do. So, let’s go back in the clubhouse. Sophia Miner catches up with the architect, Matt Arnold. Three straight division championships and five since 2018. What does it say about the resiliency of this team? I can’t see or hear anything. Oh my gosh, it says everything about this team, about the people, about everybody, who we are and what we do. And I’m just so thankful to be a part of it. And man, I’m just again, this team, Herb, our ownership, everybody here, I mean, everybody in this room deserves a ton of credit. I’m so thankful. 56 players contributed to this and you’re on the verge of a franchise winning season. You’re one win away from tying it. How have you relied on the depth of this organization? It’s just next man up. Every every day we’ve had somebody step up and it’s whether it’s on the field or off the field, you know, and then there’s a lot of guys that have been here a long time deserve a lot of credit. Yell, Woody, Freddy, everybody in this room, I couldn’t be more proud of it. Why is Murf still the right person to run this team? He’s been the man for for as long as I’ve known him. You know, he he’s undaunted. He he keeps fighting every single day and he keeps us on our toes. Good or bad, he he competes and I love that about him. What’s next for this team? I can’t hear you, but it’ll be honest like I hope I hope a lot of great things. I really do. All right. Congratulations. Thank you so much. Matt Arnold in his 10th season with the Brewers, the reigning executive of the year in Major League Baseball. And you heard him rattle off some of the big names in the organization. But without Matt Arnold, Quinn Pster, Jose Canana, Andrew Vaughn, Caleb Dervin, some of the key pieces in this successful run to a Central Division title, courtesy of Matt Arnold and his team, bringing them in at the right time here in 2025. We hope to hear from as many of those guys as possible. Well, we have Sophia working hard inside that clubhouse and she’s joined now by manager Pat Murphy. [Music] Guys, here with Pat Murphy and Murf, you told this team that they’ve been resilient. They’ve been undaunted to do this three years in a row and now five times since 2018. What does that say about the caliber of how you guys have competed? Like I’ve always said, it’s about the who that’s in the room. And these are the right guys. They know how to play. They know how to win. They know how to bounce back. That’s what’s special. Well, Yelli’s been in the middle of all of that since 2018. You think about Yelli, Woody, Freddy, what they’ve done to establish excellence at the level of competition that you demand. Yelli brings that standard of how to play the game. He understands the little things. This team does the little things and Yelli’s the one that sets that tone. He means the world to this team way beyond the numbers. How have you relied Ishua? How have you relied on so many different players to contribute whether it’s rookies or your veterans to step up with so much adversity? Mr. Yeah, I got to credit the front office and I got to credit the coaching staff. They just keep getting as much as they can out of each player. You know, it’s not a matter of experience. It’s not a matter of, you know, whether or not they’ve done it before. They exude confidence and conviction and guys step up and do it. The standards are high. Thanks, Mark, for the time. Enjoy it. Thank you. Thank you. His motto all season, Tim, was win tonight. Why do you feel like the Brewers have bought in so well to Pat Murphy? I mean, he cares. He cares for his teammates. He or he he loves his players. I mean, he he wants what’s best for him. And sometimes it’s tough love. He’s going to have to tell them or bench him and say, “Hey, we got to do this. We got to do this.” And that that brings out the most in a player. Uh if if a manager is only worried about himself and and how he looks and how he comes across and he’s, you know, alienated from his teammates or his his players, like that that matters. And what you do is you win over the leaders in that clubhouse and prove it to them that you’re the same guy no matter what day in and day out which Pat Murphy is. And then the leaders buy into it and they can help direct the team on where to go. Christian Yell is a big one of those. Brandon Woodruff, Freddy Peralta, this is how we’re going to play baseball. You get the leaders in the clubhouse to buy into it, everyone’s going to buy into it. That’s how Pat Murphy has run this ball club. Uh and he cares so much. He doesn’t care how he looks. He cares about this team getting it right and he steps in when he needs to. Uh and sometimes he steps back when he should. He’s always said it’s a player clubhouse and when you have a leader like Christian Yelich, I mean it doesn’t happen by accident that the beginning of this run was 2018 when Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Kane were acquired in the offseason for the Milwaukee Brewers in January of that year. In 2018, they go to the NLCS and they win the Central Division. And here we are in 2025. And Christian Yelich looks a lot like 2018 Christian Yelich this year. 100 RBI season for Christian Yelich for the first time since that MVP campaign in his debut with the Milwaukee Brewers. And Yelli is joined now by Sophia. All right, Christian, this is your fifth division championship since 2018. What does that say about what you guys have been able to do and accomplish? Consistently being able to win games and and put competitive teams on the field and met a lot of different guys. But over the years, it’s just like found a way. This is what it’s all for, right? This is the this is the why and why you grind all year and the first step for hopefully many more. When you think about how this season started and everything you guys have had to overcome, what kind of resiliency did you guys show? Yeah, just that, hey, it’s a long season and you got to continue to fight, find ways to win. And I think we knew that we were capable of it. We got to get healthy and and uh, you know, do our thing and that’s what we end up doing. For you, Christian, what does this season mean to you after missing last year? Yeah, I mean I think it’s nice to be out there and contribute the whole year and I think this year like people counted us out pretty early before it even started and then we had we had a really bad start and u you know I think it it feels good because um you know just proving people wrong and knowing that we believe in this group and we’ve been underdogs all year. So, feels good. Obviously, celebrate this and then, you know, get ready for the real thing in a couple weeks. I enjoy it. Congratulations. [Music] Great stuff from Christian Yellow and great driveby from Bryce Tang as well as the celebratory shenanigans inside the clubhouse. Bryce Dang, South Frill, both taking a massive leap here in their third seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers. I mean, look at these numbers from 2014 to 20 from 2024 to 2025. 12 home runs for South Breick leading the team in batting average at 294 this year. One of the tops in the National League. South Brill next up with Sophia. All right, S. In your time, you guys have always won the division championship. How hard is that to do? Yeah. So, no, I mean, it’s awesome. I’m so fortunate to be with this crew, like you said. It’s what it’s what I’ve known every year, uh, winning the division. And, um, I think this was the toughest year so far, too, especially how we started. So, just to overcome what we did, it’s been awesome. I know you guys are going to head out for a team picture here, but to overcome what you guys did, the tough start, so many injuries, so many guys stepping up. What does that mean to this group to accomplish this? Yeah, it’s awesome. Like you said, it’s next man up mentality. I mean, looking at the guys that have, you know, participated in it this year and just helped us throughout the whole way, guys start the bullpen, our lineup. It’s just amazing. It’s a really, it’s a full contribution from from everybody in the organization. How fun is this moment? Oh, pretty. No, it’s the best. I mean, you know, it’s such a long year and it’s all worth it when you when you feel that champagne hit your body. So, I mean, it’s just it’s unbelievable and this is what we work for. But, um, job not done yet. Feel it. Enjoy it. Thanks. So, you see that picture that was behind South Freelick is now with the team as you’re looking live at Bush Stadium. They took the picture without Pat Murphy, but that photo in front is Bob Uker celebrating in the clubhouse. And Tim, he’s still a very big part of what this whole thing is about for the Brewers. Uh, it’s it’s strange, you know, it’s strange he’s not here in the clubhouse. We don’t have the feed of him dumping drinks on everybody and getting drinks dumped on him and hearing him react in real time and you know but but he’s very present in other ways and and this team feels it and I think the for the older guys that have been here and done that they you know know the absence but at the same time they are showing the younger guys the guys that are doing this for the first time that it takes everybody that it takes some magic in the air things have to align but you have to have the right people and it’s about getting it done and and they were able to do that. I mean, what an incredible team photo. You see the guys got the cigars and the drinks or dump them on each other. We don’t get a chance to do that, Steve. We got to get out of here. Yeah. No, it’s it’s pretty magical. I I that stuff they’re going to remember forever. Yeah. And Christian Yelich said it. I mean, we want to have a reason to be together every single year, just like we’ve seen the 82 Brewers continue to celebrate here in 2025. Maybe it’s the 2025 Brewers that are doing it for years to come as you see them making their way back in the clubhouse. The party is far from over as our Menard’s big money moment. This was a toast a week ago inside the Brewers clubhouse when they clinched the spot in the postseason. Business as usual for Milwaukee. Well, today they earned the right to pop those champagne bottles as the National League Central Division champions for a third consecutive year and fourth time in the last five seasons. It’s our memorable moments of the week brought to you by Prevagen. These Milwaukee Brewers celebrating once again as Brewers baseball is at its highest right now and we’re just getting going here in 2025. And look at the best record since 2024. And the Brewers are on top. 93 wins a year ago, 95 in counting this season as the Brewers two wins away from a franchise record and the best record in all of baseball. Tim, and you see that Philly team, that’s the team that’s still chasing them for the best overall record in the National League and best overall record in baseball, which would get them homefield advantage throughout the postseason. You talk about checking boxes postseason division. Now it’s homefield advantage throughout. Yeah, Brews got six games left. They want that best record. They want homefield advantage throughout October. And I think almost clenching and getting it out of the way is going to help their game play. Hey, we we did this. Let’s get that out of the way. Now, let’s just keep playing baseball. I felt like maybe they were playing a little bit uptight in the Cardinal series. Uh there they things that we haven’t seen them do a lot of this year. I felt like there was a lot of occurrences in that series. So for them to clinch right here is probably the best thing. They may go 6 and0 after this. Like they may just go on a tear just because hey, we got it. We got this big one out of the way. We got the division. That was part of our goals. And you know what? Icing on the cake. Let’s win some ball games and get homefield advantage. So I don’t know. I it’d be cool if we were there watching the slip and slide that they’re going to do. But pretty sure they’re going to have to take that clubhouse and rip everything out of it. uh because they’re they’re celebrating the right way and they should and hopefully safely they get to uh San Diego at some point tonight. They do have to play the Padres’s tomorrow. The Padres’s are one of the teams still very much in this thing and a team that could be coming to American Family Field in about two weeks for the National League Division Series. Here’s a look at the postseason picture where we stand right now. So the Brewers, it’s a two and a halfame lead over the Philadelphia Phillies, but really three and a half because they own the tiebreaker. So they clinch the Central over the Cubs. And don’t look now, but the Cincinnati Reds have worked their way into the final spot in the wildard, jumping the New York Mets. So these are some of the teams that you might see coming to American Family Field in two weeks. Yeah. I mean, the Cincinnati Reds taking a page out of the Cleveland Guardians book. Get hot at the right time. They’ve been in striking distance for most of the year. And honestly, you look at a Mets team, you look at a Reds team, could they match up better against the Reds? I know the Brewers have no control over that, but um Mets have a lot of weapons, you know, and those are sleeping giants over there and the Reds putting it together. Yeah, you don’t want to face a team that’s hot getting into the postseason, but at the same time, if you have no no control over it whatsoever, you just kind of let them the Chips, you know, fall where they are, but they are very familiar with the Cincinnati Reds roster. They have played them a ton, more than the New York Mets, so that could play as an advantage. We’ve heard from the manager, the general manager, a lot of position players. Well, maybe the most improved player inside the Brewers clubhouse, a guy that they acquired before this season. Quinn Pester is standing by with Sophia Mid. All right, Quinn, you joined this team in April and you helped them win a division championship. What is this moment feel like for you? Pretty surreal. You know, I grew up watching the Central a lot and to be at the front of it, it’s [ __ ] awesome. When you think about your season, everything this team has been through, everything you’ve been through, what stands out to you about this team and this group, just how close we are. We’ve said it all year, our friendship, all that, you know, crap. It’s true. We just ride for each other. We’re going to be there for each other. That’s why we’re here right now. We’re going to keep going. When you’ve seen these celebrations and thought about them, how does it compare to the reality of it? There’s a lot more. I didn’t We’re not done yet. So, this has been a lot of fun. All right. Enjoy it. Thank you. Thank you. Let’s go. [Music] All right, Ray. Congratulations. Another division championship. And for you and S, you guys don’t know anything different than winning the division. How hard is this to do as a team? the kind of sustained success you guys have had. Yeah, just going out there trying to win every game. Um, and when you focus on that, they all add up and then this is what happens. Um, we go into the season trying to play our best, go into each game trying to win each bit and um, yeah, stuff like this happens when you uh, do that. What makes this team so special? What’s that? What makes this team special? everything all around from the the people we got in here to the coaches we got to the to the just everything we all get along we all love each other you guys have always been underestimated sometimes counted out what does it feel like to prove everybody wrong [Music] diabetic. [Music] No, it feels good. It feels really good. Yeah. You know, you can’t worry about the outside noise. You got to focus on on the team and the guys and um you know, put a chip on your shoulder and go out there and play and uh play to win each game. Oh man, I love this team. This good group of guys. Congratulations. Thank you. [Music] Oh, there’s nothing like these clubhouse celebrations. Bryce Tang, well, we know he has the platinum glove, but what about the platinum bat? I mean, there is maybe not a guy in Major League Baseball that has taken a jump offensively like we’ve seen Bryce Dang make from his first two years to his third season, Tim. I I mean, you’re looking at probably one of the most complete players in all of baseball. The defense, obviously, platinum glove, but he plays, look at the games, 155 games last year. He’s going to get probably 155 again this year. You see the average, he hits the all field. He’ll steal bases. Uh absolutely the complete player is Bryce Terra. And I think they knew that. I think they knew that. I think what they didn’t know is how much how much he enjoys pouring beers on everybody’s man. Matt Arnold just taking it right now from his Brewers team. Oh man, it’s so fun to watch these guys celebrate it. And hey, we saw Freddy Peralta get the best of Sophia moments ago with Bryce Terang. Now Sophia gets an opportunity to return the favor to the Brewers starter and leader in win. She’s standing by with Freddy. ready. You, Christian, and Woody have now won five division championships and three straight years. How proud are you of what you guys have done? Uh first I’m really proud about uh what what we have done as a team especially with all the young guys that we have and a lot of people that a lot of players that join us during the season and they just they feel comfortable here and look what what we have done. All right. I’m really proud about them and and what we have done and I want from the bottom of my heart this year to be different. So I feel that it’s going to be different and we’re going to be we’re going to be fighting to the end. So we’re going to do that for Milwaukee and you go we love it. We love you Freddy. Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you so much. Freddy Peralta fifth in Major League Baseball and ERA right now. He is the leader in the National League in wins with 17. And Tim, it’s something I know you always talk about when praising Freddy Peralta. He’s made every start this season, making every start. Three years in a row, making at least 30 starts. Uh that’s one that’s something you can build around. And you have to have pieces like that if you want to have parties like that. Um and and you know, he he’s he’s enjoying it. As a starter, you know, you don’t have to worry about going out there and uh have the pressures of every single day. Uh but when it’s your day, take it serious and give your team a position to win. He’s been doing that for his pretty much his entire career with the Brewers. Well, Freddy, don’t party too hard because you are the starter tomorrow night against the San Diego looking for his 18th win. Uh William Contrus, who did not play today. He left last night’s game with an injury, but he was still celebrating strong here this afternoon in St. Louis. He’s with Sophia William. How does this feel? Three seasons in a row. Great. I feel great. I feel really good about my teammates. We working to be here. We’re working to be doing this every year and we’re happy right now. We’re doing it. We’re good. This team has overcome a lot and you have played every day. How hard is it to do this? I feel like I I do this. I do my job to everybody enjoy. I feel like I do it every day what I love to be right here. That’s why I play every day. I want to be here every day. How much do you enjoy these celebrations with your teammates after so much hard work? William, like you say, it’s the third year. It’s straight. So, it’s not it’s not going to be the first one, but not the last one. We’re going to be good. Congratulations. Thank you. William holding the beverage in his glove hand. We got to make sure he’s resting or you know resting that glove hand. He’s holding it in the right hand. Hopefully he’s okay and can be the player that they know he can be in the postseason. I mean he has been a stalwart behind the dish for Milwaukee this year. Second in the National League in starts behind JT Rail Muto. Well, we talk about pillars on the mound. This is a pillar. You a guy that’s going to be helping those guys on the mound. He’s going to be helping the team at the plate. Uh you can sharpie him in there every single game. wanting to be in there today after getting slammed on the hand by a check swing. Uh that’s the kind of guy that he is. Shows up every day ready to play and that’s so valuable uh to have that kind of piece. He’s probably like so glad I ended up with the Brewers. All we do is win win win no matter what. A great scene here of many of the arms who have helped the Brewers get to this point and the catchers as well. Now a man who’s had an emotional return to St. Louis this weekend. It’s Caleb Durban, the third baseman for the Brewers with Sophia. How’s this for your rookie season? Could you have imagined it any better? It’s a lot of fun. Uh, it’s everything you dream of when you’ve seen these on TV or as a fan and you see the reality of it after so much hard work. What does it mean to you? Yeah. And it starts with the work you do in the offse and right in the eyeball, man. everything you do in spring training and uh I mean there’s more to be done but it is fun celebrating with the guys. What are you most proud of with what this team has overcome? Proud to be a part of this team. Uh you know all the hard work that that goes into it. Such a long season and it’s every single day every single day getting after it and uh you know fun to fun to celebrate along the way and uh hopefully we can do this a lot more in the postseason. All right. Congratulations. Enjoy it. Yeah. Thanks, Sophia. Before we praise the rookies, I just have to take a moment. Tim, at the top of the show, I ask you, who’s going to celebrate the hardest for the Brewers? Well, we have our answer. No one is having more fun than Abnerbe inside that clubhouse right now. Man, when I grow up, when I grow up, I want to be Abner Rebe. I want to throw a hundred. I’m going to party as hard as anybody. That That’s That’s amazing. They should be doing that. Oh, man. Good stuff. Uh Caleb Durban, Isaac Collins, we already heard from Quinn Prester. Uh some of these guys who are new to the crew this year in particular Collins and Durbans, they they’ve found themselves in the National League Rookie of the Year conversation. It takes your guys like Yelich and Woodruff Peralta being the horses. It takes your guys like Terra and Freelick to take that next step. And then you need your rookies to produce and we’ve seen it from those guys. Well, you need your rookies to learn from other players, too. And you got to bring in the right guys. When Pat Murphy talks about being the right guy, not only are you talented, but are you willing to learn? Are you coachable? Are you going to play the game the right way? You going to play the game this way? That’s who they brought in. Durban came in, he fit right away. And what he needed to work on, he did. And now he’s Yeah. in the running for rookie of the year. And he should be. A lot of the things he was doing, um, you know, what would they have gone out and find a guy to put there? Uh, he’s doing probably that and more. You’re not going to find a big bat and a glove. And he’s been able to be all of that. Well, the guy who’s younger than all the guys we talked about, if you remember a year ago, we poked fun at him for not being able to legally enjoy this celebration. It was Jackson Cheerio, who is 20 years old. Now he’s 21, enjoying his second straight division crown. Let’s go inside the clubhouse with Jackson Cheerio and Sophia. [Music] ask how he’s feeling. He say he’s feeling great. Are you on Instagram live on Instagram live? Okay. [Music] Jackson’s excited about this celebration here. He says, “This is something you work for for your entire life.” So, Jackson, this [Music] Oh, great stuff. Sophie didn’t know which camera to look at. I mean, she was live on two different cameras at the same time. Like, you better tag her on Instagram. Yeah, that’s awesome. Uh Jackson Churio, important to note that he’s just a couple of stolen bases away from consecutive 2020 seasons. He would be the youngest in Major League uh baseball history to have consecutive 2020 seasons. Incredible that he has been able to sustain this, but not a surprise. I mean, this is a reason they signed him to that long-term contract. Well, I think it was a surprise at the time because he had never played a game in the big leagues. Then we saw what he did last year and then there’s there’s flashes this year where you’re like, “This guy’s incredible.” You feel like he can do it all. Um and that at any moment he’s going to change the game in some way. He can do it with his feet. He can do it with the bat. Um, yeah, a generational type player. I mean, this is a guy that the Brewers are were hoping for that. And they’re getting backto-back seasons of a a phenomenal player and winning seasons. Like they they know this guy’s a winner. A guy who’s been in the postseason now, has experience, and a guy who can do a lot of damage for them in just a couple of weeks. Another guy who has probably earned his spot onto that postseason roster is Jake Bowers. An incredible month of September he is putting together right now. And he’s with Sophia Congratulations [Music] to do this to do this Jake backto back season everything you guys had to overcome the way the season started what does it mean to you guys can you repeat the question what does it mean to you guys to accomplish this after the how the season started. It means a lot. I mean, especially to see a group of guys never lose faith in what we were doing and what we were building, especially when it would have been easy to. Uh, super proud of everybody in this room. Super proud to be a Milwaukee Brewer. And uh, we’re not done yet. Not done yet. What do you think is ahead of this team? The way you guys have been able to come back. The way you guys have been able to prove people wrong. And now you’ve got a chance to do something special in the postseason. I don’t think we were ever worried about what anybody was saying on MLB Network, um, Twitter, whatever. We never we never worried about it. We just stayed focused. Kept trying to win every game and, uh, we won enough. We won enough. Congratulations. Enjoy it. Thanks, Hope. All right, Jake Bowers, an incredible September he’s putting together down the stretch for Milwaukee. Platooning with Andrew Vaughn, a guy who joined the Brewers in July during the trade deadline and has been arguably the most impactful trade deadline acquisition. He’s next up with Sophia. Congratulations. Thank you. When you think about behind you, what do you think about your season and the trade and coming up and the way that you’ve performed here? What’s been what’s been so special this year? You know, it’s been uh it’s been a whirlwind. Um truthfully, um you know, getting traded, I mean, to this team, it’s been unbelievable. Um it’s been awesome. You know, the group we have here, the connection, it’s just special. um you know and this is something to show for this is you’ve been a part of the best you’ve been a part of the best stretch of the season right a 14game winning streak taking off taking a lead in this division to ultimately accomplish this though how hard is it to do you know it’s it’s a tough feat but this group man this is awesome I mean you can just look at this so special so special enjoy it congratulations I will thank Oh, that was hitting coach Connor Dawson enjoying the pour down Andrew Von’s back and he’s the vaugh a lot to thank for the July he’s put together making those hitting coaches look good. It’s been a amazing combination and for Andrew Vaughn to turn the page on his career with the White Socks to come over to these Brewers and what an impact he has made and a guy that they hope can continue to do so in October. Talked about some of the rookies. Well, Isaac Collins is next up with Sophia. Isaac, congratulations. Thank you. Thank you. How does this feel? It feels amazing. I mean, to experience this for the second time is just the words can’t describe it. I mean, I’m so grateful to be a part of this team. I mean, so many guys contributed this year and to be a part of something as special is just awesome. you got a taste of this last year, but to go through this for a full season and to play every day and to perform the way that you do. How proud are you of your season, but also what the team has done together? Yeah, 100%. I mean, it definitely means a lot more uh being here all year and, you know, contributing all year and uh it’s just it’s amazing. Like, I’m just again, I’m just so grateful to be a part of it. I’m so happy to be here and we have a we have a great team, you know, a great group of guys and you know, we we really deserve this. You do deserve it. Congratulations. You’ve earned it. Thanks. So, rookie of the month in the month of July, Isaac Collins with Sophia as the celebration continues inside the Visitors Clubhouse at Bush Stadium. The Brewers National League Central Division champions for a third straight year. and to do it in St. Louis has to feel extra sweet for this team. And Tim, it’s fun to watch these guys. It’s fun to have that perspective of even though today they lost the game on the field. I mean, it’s a long journey to get to this point and they deserve the celebration. Well, you know, and they’re taught all season long not look at the big picture, not look at the big picture. Keep your head down. Bryce Strang talked about it. Win the game, win the pitch. And that’s how you that’s the winning formula. You want to have celebrations like this? Yeah. Try to win every single game. only worry about that game. Uh, and I mean, it’s been amazing to watch top to bottom. U, but but that’s that’s, you know, what works for them. And now they get to let loose and see the bigger picture and enjoy it. And, uh, that that’s probably the most amazing part that these guys are, hey, you’re playing a kids game. So, you know, you’re allowed to act silly. You know, you’ve been playing it cool all year long. Uh, it’s okay to look silly. A lot of national pundits picked these Brewers to finish fourth in the National League Central and instead they are the second fastest team in franchise history to clinch the National League Central. Doing it on September 21st, game 156. Last year’s team did it on September 18th with 10 games remaining on the schedule. Another rookie who is a big part of it through a lot of this season. Jacob Miserowski is with Sophia for your rookie season. Could you have asked for anything better? No, not at all. This is awesome. How do you feel right now celebrating with your team and everything you guys have been through? Yeah, it’s awesome. It’s everything. It’s so much fun. Well, what’s been the best part for you so far? Should be with the guys. That’s the best part. Has this been more than what you [Music] Has this been more than what you expected? Oh, way more. This is so much fun. All right. Well, enjoy it, man. Congratulations. Thank you so much, man. [Music] From the rookies to the veterans, everybody enjoying this shared celebration in St. Louis. The Milwaukee Brewers have earned every right to call themselves champions of the Central Division. What a fun experience. And uh Freddy Ponta, good luck tomorrow night on the mound in San Diego. And we’ll see if Abner Rebe is available for the Brewers as well. Oh man. Yeah. Well, that’s part of it though. I mean, it’s pretty much, hey, who wants a day off tomorrow? You want a day off tomorrow? Everybody’s there may be some guys that ask, but no, they’ll be fine. I mean, it’s it’s a long flight and the next day and these guys are pros. Just not right now. They’re allowed. They’re trying to destroy that place. That carpet uh in that clubhouse is gone. This is the last time it’ll ever be seen. It will absolutely be destroyed after this uh because it’ll be unusable. Well, we heard from a rookie pitcher and Jacob Miserowski. How about the 14-year veteran for the Milwaukee Brewers, Jose Canana? Been a part a couple of these over the years, and this one feels good as a Brewer. He’s with Sophia. [Music] You’ve been through this a lot in your career, but how special is it to accomplish something like a division championship? I mean, it’s a lot. That’s a new experience. It’s great new year. It’s a really good group. I’m so excited to come here for first year. That happened to me. That’s so amazing. Means a lot. I’m so excited and you know just the beginning. So we want to continue to improve and doing and doing a really good job this opposition. Why did you want to come here with the opportunity to win? [Music] Let’s go. Drop it. Drop it. Let’s go. I knew it. I knew it. We have really good. I feel good. I feel good. I feel good. I feel good. I feel good. Let’s go. Let’s go. [Music] I know him. I know. Um we are really good group here. This team is amazing. Like I say, first time come here for first first year in amazing it happened to me. We’re in the division gets the opportunity come back the postseason and play for something huge. You know, I can’t I can’t have words to explain now, but it’s it’s a great opportunity. I’m so excited now. Congratulations, Jose. Enjoy it. Thank you so much. And Jose Kintana, nobody wanted him. Tim Matt Arnold saw him and said, “Why don’t you come be our veteran lefty?” And what an impact he’s made on this ball. Well, I mean, you take him, you take Andrew Vaughn, Quinn Pester, these guys. We I witnessed a moment a couple years ago when Mark Cana came over. uh a moment when they were celebrating and he was hugging Matt Arnold and just thanking him like thank you for bringing me here. That’s how those guys feel. Uh this is what Matt Arnold wanted to see happen. He wanted the team to have this kind of success. He needed the right people. He convinced or went and found those three guys to come and be a part of this and and they’re probably thinking they’re lucky stars to be a part of a team like this. Truly special. Talk about culture fit. Well, it leads to a lot of empty bottles and celebrations, and that’s what we’ve seen in Milwaukee Brewers baseball. And here’s a look at the playoff picture. If the postseason started today, the Brewers would be the top overall seed in Major League Baseball. The Phillies would be the two seed in the National League. And the Brewers and the NLDS would face the winner of the Padres’s and Cubs at American Family Field in just under two weeks, Jim. Don’t sleep on those Cincinnati Reds there as that six seed, one of the hottest teams in all of baseball after sweeping the Cubs and helping the Brewers clinch today. Yeah, I mean there that could look all of that could look a little bit different here in the next few days just because you also got the Cleveland Guardians are on the AL side and uh the Reds are not stopping right now. So yeah, I mean it still could change and that’s what you want. You don’t want everything locked up right away, you know, in the first month. And the Brewers would have clinched way earlier, but the Cubs again have had a phenomenal season. The Brewers have just had a better one. If you go back to last year, the Brewers had a phenomenal season and the Cubs did not. So, they were able to clinch sooner since everybody else was out of it. But, uh, the Cubs have had a great season. Then Brewers just one uped it. Uh, a lot like we’ve seen in the past. But hopefully that plays out. Hopefully the Brewers can go ahead lock up, get the biggest record there is in baseball, and let hopefully they’ll pay dividends later. And the Diamondbacks are a team also fighting to be there in the wild card. They lead the Phillies seven to nothing right now. So the Brewers could get even more help um despite losing today and end up having a three-game lead with only six games to play and they have the tiebreaker over the Phillies. But just to recap, this golden era of Brewers baseball that started in 2018 1920. They were the wild card in 2021 as Central Division champs once again. And then three in a row from 2023 2024. Both celebrations inside American Family Field. And this afternoon it was a celebration at Bush Stadium as the Brewers repeat as National League Central Division champions. And it’s been an incredible stretch of Brewers baseball. They’ve done it the right way, Tim. They’ve been underdogs throughout and now they’re top dogs once again in their division. Yeah. and you you can’t always figure out exactly how it’s going to work out, when they’re going to celebrate, but it is going to happen. You know, even if they had to end up going to San Diego, you you would love to clinch off of a win at home. It’s not always going to work that way, but this team, you know what, they’re not going to do it again this year in St. Louis. They’re going to be celebrating in some other place coming up. Uh, and that’s their goal. And what you heard from Mizowski is a guy that’s seeing this firsthand for the first time and not trying to he can’t even put it into words of how amazing it is. So once you have a taste of something like this and see what goes on, uh, all you want to do is do it again. So this is going to be kind of something to help propel this team forward to finish out the regular season and hopefully propel them deep into October. A lot of smiles, a lot of champagne, a lot of ice. The Brewers deserve it all. It’s a common feeling for Brewers baseball over this stretch. Never take these moments for granted. And what the Brewers are hoping, the first of many here in the next month. What a season it has been. Just two wins away from a franchise record in wins. And perhaps in San Diego over the next couple of days, we find out that they clinch the best record in all of baseball as well, too. Yeah, there’s still something to play for. All right. get that best record. But, uh, one thing that we’ve seen from this team, they just they don’t give up. They don’t take any game for granted. Um, and that’s what you want, an exciting team that goes out there, they don’t want to get beat. Uh, but when they have success, man, celebrate it. That’s what you want. You want guys that play hard and also celebrate hard. Laser focused through the process. It allows you to enjoy these moments even more.

  1. It's nice that the Brewers won the Central, but they need to send a Thank you card to the Cincinnati Reds. They won the title for the Brewers, they didn't do it themselves. Embarrassing

  2. Sophia being a good sport taking as many celebrations 🍾 she did here…….albeit some would say this makes up for staying dry throughout all the gatorade showers
