Jacob Young 2x Catch Of The Year In ONE GAME | Full Highlights + Replays

inning at the moment. Yeah, they’re going to start pick they’re going to start getting Mitchell Parker warmed up out in full pen. Some depth to this one. Jacob Young, he had it dropped. Oh, he got it on the flag. He caught it. The umpires have already called him out. The hitter that is. A lot of credit to Brennan Miller. His foot. Umpire’s rotating beautifully on that. That was his knee and the crowd just saw it. Oh my god. And they called the hitter out. It fell out of his glove off his knee and stayed with it. Oh my. Oh, his foot. Hacky sack. Let’s go. Play of the year. Play of the year right there. Fullon hacky sack. Here I go. Glove foot glove. He only gets one foot out for that though. Amazing. Jacob Young. He had to make a last second adjustment on a ball hit by Brett Batty. Right back over his head. And there are some Mets fans wondering right now. We got some things going against us here. Like that guy Like, are you kidding me? How’d that happen? Ten off to the right side. 02. Feel like we got to see this again. J Young going back for it. It’s in. It’s out. It’s off his foot. To a catch. Got it. I got it. Also dealing with the warning track. That’s a little slippery. But the umpires were all rotating around the bases there and they did an outstanding job. Look like Brennan Miller out there in center field getting a good look at that. [Music] Quite honestly that far away. It’s the kind of blade that could fool an umpire maybe thinking the ball hit the wall before Young got him back. He was emphatic with the out call right through the play. swing and a miss and a strike out after that fun out in center. Jake Irvin now has struck out three of the last four batters. I mean, it just drops out. He The fact that he saw it and it I’m not going to say that that right foot was random. He saw it and he kicked his foot up. He did this on purpose. Like I I could save it and he did. Well, [Music] 2-1 driven to center. Jacob Young off and again right at the orange line and it stays 3-2 on another gem by our center fielder. [Applause] I mean this might be the catch of the year now where he jumps halfway onto the warning track. He leaves his feet and goes back on this. The no devils defense helps out and Oh yeah, he took that one away. Wow. The umpires are together chatting. Maybe wondering if the ball touched the wall at all here, but it looks like it’s enclosed in the glove. That’s the only thing they could be looking at. Fearless. The call on the field is a catch. This is a crew chief review for a potential home run. [Applause] They just they they have to do this just to make sure. It’s okay. This should be quick. Did the ball touch the railing? No. Above the fence, but that’s what they’re looking at. Have to review the call. The field is confirmed. The batter is out. Yeah. Did you see the Kelly Matumbbo right there from Jacob Young? He said, “No, no, no. What a play. Unbelievable. Here’s Patty now. Lefty lefty matchup. That did not take long. And that’s the one thing that came into play in recent years. All the new ballparks, they have shorter outfield walls, so we can have plays like that instead of the really high walls ballparks had previously. And it’s been a really wonderful, exciting thing. Jacob Young can come in for this one. Two down. And with Cincinnati still leading in the sixth at home, one- nothing. You can hear a pin drop here. Well, he goes back. Doesn’t go that back far because of the no doubles, but he leaves his feet so early and takes that one away. Mets catcher Luis Torren stands between the Nats in a series win here.

Jacob Young with TWO MLB catch-of-the-year nominees in ONE game in a 3-2 series-clinching Washington Nationals win over the New York Mets.
