We are not below average in any offensive position. (Except maybe QB)
We have an above average O-Line.
We have around an average WR room with a top 10 guy.
We have an Elite RB room.
We have an average to slightly above average TE.
We have an unproven QB who has shown amazing flashes.
Yet we play like ass. Even when we win, they aren’t that good. This is on the coaching.
ITS THE COACHING STAFF
Hot take we don’t have that much talent. O line has downgraded with Dalman and McGary not playing for us. The o line run game is way weaker and the pass protection was never great. Our wide receivers consistently have bad drops from a young qb that has accuracy issues running a uninspired offense from Zac Rob or nobody is open and Penix just freezes up and refuses to run. Our defense is young and they feasted against a dead Vikings O line. The sub was thrilled but I knew it was a mirage until we see next week. Welcome to next week. The Panthers were a bottom 5 team that blew out the Falcons and the Vikings blew out a Joe Burrow less Bengals. The Falcons are not as bad as you seen and we will bounce back but we were never a top 10. Bjian can carry the run game but Penix being inaccurate and not looking comfortable is way more concerning. We look like a 23 out of 32 best in the league. We will come back but we aren’t going to be back as contenders. The 2015 Panthers blew us out and we handed them the only loss in their regular season. It’s a divisional rival and these games go either way. Playoffs seems more unlikely now but now I rather see growth from the rooks on defense than wins since I don’t feel this team is ready
Special Teams looks awful too.
The Panthers, who before yesterday had some pundits saying they’re the worst team in the league, even worse than the aints, are better than us. Let that sink in. The team that was picked by just about every human on earth to finish last in the division beat us 30-0. I repeat, 30-0.
Funny that’s exactly what everyone *BUT* the front office and coaching staff say 🤔
Drake London top 10 is 🤣
Is that three weeks in a row now where Raheem has called a bad, early timeout only to be followed up by a delay of game coming out of the timeout? How many times could we have used that timeout in the two-minute drill?
This is inexcusable. Like, seriously. This tells you he has no idea what he’s doing as a game manager. I don’t need any X’s and O’s beyond what I see from his game sense to justify my belief that he just isn’t head coach material.
I’m going to cry if I have to keep watching us play 90% of snaps out of the pistol
It’s Zac Robinson
What’s going on now made me realize when Kirk was healthy, he really was making chicken salad out of chicken shit coming off a torn achilles. Especially the Bucs and Eagles game. He’s already an established veteran QB so shitty coaching couldn’t personally affect him, even if it was affecting everyone else. Unfortunately, Penix isn’t a veteran QB and is getting some shit coaching. Not a good outlook.
If you’re looking for anything positive, I guess bichon’s 5.5 yards per carry is a positive outside of that. There was nothing redeeming or positive that happened in yesterday‘s game. It was an absolute shit show on every facet of the game.
Talking with my son about it I said that it was probably the third worst loss in the last 20 years for us with the Super Bowl being number one and the Dallas game being number two, but he actually put the Dallas game behind this one because at least we were in that Dallas game until we weren’t.
Offense is cheeks. QB play is worse than the last 3 years….I didn’t even think that was possible….
Penix is basically a rookie and while we view his potential through that lens, his actual on the field play is bottom tier even if acceptable relative to his experience just like Peyton Manning had bottom tier play his first year.
Mcgrary/Dalman were borderline elite run blockers we no longer have.
I don’t believe in the coaching staff for other reasons though.
He’s either bad at English or talent scouting, possibly both.
