The Bengals are far and away the worst offense in the NFL on 1st and 2nd down. Not even close to the rest of the worst of the pack

  1. And his disciple is just ahead of him for 31st place. 10 year olds on madden are more creative

  2. Least surprising thing I’ll see today. We’ve know this offense is predictable for a couple years now but it’s masked due to elite talent.

Run on first down for maybe 1-2 yards. Throw a screen for 2-3 yards. Forced to throw (because we can’t run the ball) and the defense sends the house. Punt.

  3. I can’t imagine being in a business, where the quality of the product that I produced didn’t matter. It would be like being on vacation with hours. From now on each home games should be a makeshift Jimmy Buffett concert.

  4. Fun fact: even with Burrow, Chase, and Higgins, the bengals have only ever had a top 5 offense ONCE under ZT.

  5. Never would I have ever thought the defense would be outperforming the offense prior to the season.

  6. Taylor owes any coaching accolades to Joe Burrow and Chase. He has never accomplished anything without them.

  7. And a bunch of you out here defending the play call. Bunch of clowns getting what you asked for

  8. Throwing behind the line of scrimmage screen passes out of shotgun on 2 and 9 isn’t a good play call?

  9. imo, trade Trey, Trae whoever and tank for the number 1 pick and trade for a haul. Only way to salvage burrow’s career is to bolster the oline with top tier talent.

  10. Extra pathetic considering we willingly spent like 2/3 (maybe more?) of our cap space on offense lol

  11. You mean… Running it up the gut twice in a row every first and second down ISNT a good idea??? But clearly Zac keeps doing it for a reason right??

  12. Zac constantly trying to establish the run!! Pass to run on early downs not run to pass in modern football.

  13. This is made even funnier by the fact the second worst is the Titans, who are coached by our former OC. The ZT coaching bush is proving to be legendary.

  14. Meanwhile Lou living his best life in Indianapolis, but sure he was the problem. Zac Taylor should’ve been gone years ago. I don’t understand how people can defend this guy. He’s supposed to be an offensive guru but is a plain moron on game day. Burrow constantly saving his career and making him look not like the worst coach in the league.

  15. Not surprising, since even the commentators were saying “I bet they run it here” on every single first down.

  16. I feel like some are going to blame a still porous offensive line.

And then others are going to assert it’s a lackluster offensive design and/or playcalling under Zac Taylor.

And I’m here to say, it’s probably both? Probably both. I’m on train “Fire Taylor and get someone who’d fist fight to coach this offense” and team “draft IOL high even if we have to trade up for it for the love of Burrow”.

  17. During the Titans game this weekend, they showed a graph… our average 3rd down yardage needed is 9.9…. I think our offense has you beat.

  18. So, serious question. The Colts. Is their offense offsetting their defense? Bc I see people giving praise to Lou and how Bengals used him as the scapegoat last year. So are the colts defensive players just overall better, giving Lou better players to work with? Or is he just better in Indy than he was in Cincy?

  19. Well that happens when you have one of the best passers and the offense is built around that and you don’t have a premium backup. What did you expect?
