NEW LOOK KNICKS vs PISTONS – FULL GAME – 4K REALISTIC – NBA 2K26

for the latest presentation of our NBA basketball. I’m Kevin Har joined courtside by Greg Anthony and Doris Burke. And it’s Ali Leforce for tonight on the sideline. And now the opening lineup for Detroit. The forwards are Thompson and Harris. At the guard spots, we’ll see Cunningham and Ivy. And it’s Duran in at the five. And for the Knicks, Carl Anthony Towns is out there with OG Anobi. Then it’s Jaylen Brunson. Then it’s Bridges. And it’s Robinson in at the center. Tonight, and I’m looking forward to this, Greg. We’re going to see the speed and the skill of NBA guards. Two of the league’s best going headto head. And when I think basketball, I envision guards pushing the tempo, taking threes. The modern NBA has a lot of talent. The pace has never been higher. Now, here’s Bridges. And there’s a whistle. That goes on Mikuel Bridges. That is his first foul of the game. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. [Applause] Here’s Thompson. Cunningham outside. Out to Thompson. Shot clock at five. Duran with a screen on Anobi. Thompson misses. And here’s Brunson. They’ll bring it up for the Knicks. [Applause] The kick out to Anobi. Robinson sets a screen for Bridges. Out to Brunson and Cunningham with the block. Oh, great anticipation by Cunningham managing to get his hand on that shot. Brunson against Cunningham. [Music] Robinson a screen on Cunningham. Here’s Brunson out to Bridges [Applause] over Ivy and the Knicks miss again. You You almost have to assume he’s going to knock those down when he is that open. Harris looking it over back to Cunningham and he banks in the layup. Cunningham’s got the game going here with the first basket for Detroit. and the strength of Cunningham. Fantastic job there scoring on the defense. Pass to Anobi. Harris against Towns. The kick out to Anobi. The foot back and it’s Towns on the follow. Excellent pursuit by Towns right there. Get to work on the glass. And now, let’s send it over to our courtside reporter, Ally Leforce. I bet ago, Mike Brown and I were able to chat. I asked him what his thoughts were on Kade Cunningham, and he said Kade is extremely talented. He’s got great size. He plays under control. He’s one of those guys that makes his teammates better. It’s easy to see why he initiates so much of their offense. Back over to you, Kevin. All right, Ally, thank you so much for that. On defense, Detroit after the made shot from Carl Anthony Towns. And here’s Brunson outside. The shot comes out. Cunningham with some nice D. Detroit with the ball. [Applause] Pass to Thompson. A three ball and Muel Bridges pulls it down. The Knicks have gotten only one of six shots to drop for them to start this game. And the Knicks Doris making some aggressive moves in recent years. Loading up for a title run. And they came close. And Kevin, this after years of patience and methodical building. You give away five first round picks for Muel Bridges. And of course, you give away Julius Randall and Dante Danchenzo to get Carl Anthony Towns. They haven’t quite reached the summit, will they? Here’s Harris after the made shot from Carl Anthony Towns. Cunningham gets the bucket. Just such a well-rounded offensive player. He’s got a little bit of everything. And so here is New York. Brunson outside and Cunningham with the block. Mitchell Robinson on the floor for his defense unequivocally, but this young guy is really coming on the offensive end. Great job drawing the contact. The Knicks shooting their initial free throws of the game right here. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Come on. Got to get it. Go. And he makes the first [Applause] [Applause] Robertson hits them both The Pistons trailing. Cunningham passes to Durham. Harris outside. Shoots over Towns. And the rejection by Towns. Love the hustle from Towns right there. Boy, engaged defensively. Shot clock at three. The shot by Ivy. No good for New York. They’ve gone just two of eight shooting so far. Just 25%. [Applause] Towns the screen. Romante Brunson. There we go. Now in the scoring column would that make? He is one for four. One of the things you love about Jaylen Brunson. He takes quality shots. How about that look from three [Applause] Cunningham outside to the inside. Stolen by Robinson. Bridges against Cunningham. Bridges kicks to Towns. Bridges a screen on Harris. Towns for three. And again, it’s a New York three. And a chance to catch up on some numbers here. The hustle stats for New York. I mean, they’ve come out aggressive defensively, getting into them and and coming up with some cookies along the way. You’ve also got to love how their defense has been contesting so far, denying shooters to this point. [Applause] The Knicks making a switch here. Hearts checked in. [Applause] Pistons trail by eight. Cunningham. Passes to Harris. Back to Cunningham. [Applause] Cunningham is not shy about mixing it up down low. He’s got a great feel around the rim. Brunson scanning the floor. Pass to Robinson. That falls. Nice feed that time from Brunson. Boy, what a sweet pass. That one on time and on target. And so it’s Cunningham with it. He brings it up for the Detroit Pistons. three-point game and Curran slams it in. And maybe that’ll trigger them. Impossible not to get pumped up after that. Yeah. Well, you could see the immediate reaction of the guys on the bench. They are pumped up. Now, here’s Brunson. Towns. A screen on Cunningham. Here’s Brunson. And Hart has it in the corner. And again, New York with the triple. That’s just Josh Hart getting to his spot, being shot ready. Nicely done. Pistons trail by nine. Cunningham with it. He’s got six down low. Here’s Thompson. Terrific assist. A nice finish. Solid play all around. And a nice job here early of establishing an inside presence. Robinson. A screen on Cunningham. Rebounded by the Pistons. Nothing more important than protecting the rim, folks. And that’s exactly what they get. And foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. So, move by the young guy. Thompson sticks with the shot and gets fouled. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. [Applause] And the first one drops. Brock and he’s checked in for Muel Bridges. [Applause] And so Thompson nails both of them. Now Brunson Brockton outside. Pass to Robinson. Now Brunson beyond the arc. Johnson with the rebound. And even without that three ball dropping for him, the defense should have done more on that last play. Back to Harris. [Applause] Here’s Cunningham. Brunson covering. Duran with a screen on Brunson. Cunningham gets the bucket. Effective from the mid-range for Cunningham. It’s about shooting with confidence. Hart outside. Towns against Harris. Three-pointer. Offensive rebound. Well, hard blue collar work ethic on display. This guy just beating everyone to the ball. Pistons trail by five. Thompson passes to Durham. Cunningham outside and a lot of contact on that one. So, he’ll shoot two here. It’s on Mitchell Robinson. Oh, how about using the rim to get some true hang time. You know, he just wanted to make sure the landing was softer than the takeoff. The Pistons shooting their third free throw attempt of the game. Robinson’s checked in for Detroit. Harris Levert comes in for Ivy. [Applause] Re throw no good for Gurin. The Knicks leading by three. Hart the pass to Brunson. [Applause] Towns. A screen on Cunningham. Brunson. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Well, Jaylen Brunson plays bigger than his size. He’s aggressive. He’s going to go right at defenders. He doesn’t care if you’re bigger than he is. He will keep coming at you. Shooting two. [Applause] No good on the free throw. Bridges. He’s jacked in for New York. And he’s good on the second. Pistons trail by four outside Robinson. [Applause] Back to Cunningham. [Applause] Oh, yes he did. Five up and five down for him so far. And they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint. Brunson kicks to Towns Falls. Nice feed that time from Brunson. Brunson’s got three assists now in this one. So it’s the Pistons now trailing by five. Outside Robinson [Applause] Harris against Hart [Applause] left side Harris. It’s rebounded by New York. I sometimes you just lose that little bit of focus and this is what happens. Out to Bridges. Brunson sets a screen for Bridges. Towns a screen on Cunningham. Bridges misses. Pistons trail by five. Levert finds Cunningham. No good with the triple. New York’s gotten a lot of shots off from three-point line in the first quarter, but they’re only four of nine. Oh, one of Jaylen Brunson’s specialties, the N1. Just being aggressive for New York. They have shot 75% at the line tonight going three for four. And New York making a change here. Gabel’s checked in. One shot. [Applause] That’s all you. There’s 126 left to play in the first. Cunningham passes to Stewart. There’s the lob to the hoop and the dunk by Stewart. And maybe that’ll trigger them. Impossible not to get pumped up after that. Yeah. Well, you can see the immediate reaction of the guys in the bench. They are pumped up. Now, here’s Brunson. He has seven. And there’s the call. It’s going to be an illegal screen. When a pick like that is questionable, it creates that much of an advantage for the offense. You have to blow the whistle. I don’t think there’s any question. There are so many rules that favor the offense these days. You’ve got to be able to equal things out when an illegal screen is set. Clarkson, he’s checked in for Jaylen Brunson. How he’s checked in for Detroit. Marcus Eser comes in for Kate Cunningham. There’s 53 seconds left in the first quarter. Stewart, a screen for Robinson. And the dump by Stewart. And in terms of size, not your typical center, but man, he plays as big as any of them thanks to that terrific leaping ability. Pass to heart. Out to Clarkson. New York no good that time either. Pistons trail by four. Levert in the corner. We’ve got a 9-second difference between the shot clock and the game clock. Hypo Stewart outside Robinson off target from three-point range. Bridget for three. Sasser with the rebound. [Applause] Holland. The pass to Levert. Here’s Sasser. What a play. He simply drains it in at the buzzer. Big time shot to beat the buzzer there. My goodness. Well, that’s the perfect end of the quarter for them. You have no idea how much of an effect those buzzer beaters can have on a team’s momentum. It’s been all about Carl Anthony Towns for the Knicks. He got into double digits for the quarter with 10 points total. Right back after this break. and getting going again here in the second quarter. Fairly close game so far. And before we move on, what do you guys think about what we’ve seen so far from the Knicks? Well, you can see these guys are unafraid to take chances defensively. Well, very disruptive in that first period. They never allowed the offense to get comfortable sharing the perimeter spots. It’s Clarkson and Bridges. Josh Hart out there with Yabulele and it’s Brogden in at the one. They’re the group New York will start the second with now. Here’s Brogden. hasn’t made one yet. Here’s Young Zen. Malcolm Broden just so savvy. He’s got size, strength, and vision. Nicely done. Pistons trail by three. Pass to Levert. There’s the pick screen from deep. Drops in the tray. Levert’s got himself on the board with three there. These kinds of defensive breakdowns drive coaches crazy. Drogged in the pass to Yabusle. Levert against Clarkson. Yabusel a screen on Levert. Back to Yabusle. Reed with the steel [Applause] and Robinson wide open. He shoots and that won’t go. Missing the go-ahead bucket. The Knicks shooting well. They’re at 45%. Hart kicks to Bracken. Gabel setting a screen for Bracken. Back to Hart. Yahoo. The screen. No good on the three for Detroit. They’ve gone one of three to start off the second quarter. Pass to Sasser. Reed. A screen on Brogden. And the dunk by Reed. Oh, and he he went for the two-hander on the slam. Using some muscle, some urgency from him there. Sure. Now, didn’t pitch to Yabu. It’s blocked and out of bounds as the Knicks gain possession. Well, one guy’s thinking Zigg, the other Zag, and it’s nothing good resulting. Let’s take a second look at that fantastic block. And boy did he get up quick to reject that shot. That’s as fundamental as defense gets. And so Mike Brown calls a timeout. He’s going to have a discussion on the sideline. Anobi. He’s checked in for New York. Then for the Pistons, Assar Thompson, he’s checked in for Paul Reed. Ivy comes in for Caris Levert and it’s Cunningham in for Marcus Chaster. And the Knicks with possession here, trailing by two. [Applause] Bridges with it. Picked up by Thompson. Here’s Hart. New York no good that time either and he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there but they can’t count on him to continue missing. Stewart with a screen on Brogden. Pass to Stewart. Shoots the three. Good. And the assist goes to Cunningham. Cunningham’s got his fourth assist in this one. Bounce pass from Brogden. Robeli finds Bridges. And he can’t stop this drought. Another miss. Cunningham outside. And here’s Thompson. Ivy on the wing. [Applause] And we’ve heard some coaches complaining about players getting away with traveling. Is that something, Greg, the league needs to clean up? Well, it’s inevitable that a few of those calls are going to be missed. But listen, you’d rather have that than official whistling travel. That didn’t happen. That one’s good. And the Piston lead is cut down to just three in the basket from Brogden. [Applause] Ivy against Bridges. Yep, it counts. Ivy’s got his first points of the game. Too smooth from the mid-range. Defenders can’t let Ivy get comfortable from there. Yuelia screen on Cunningham. The shot by Brockton wide open offline with his three and it’s Detroit’s ball. They’ve outscored him 10 points to two during this run. Right now, let’s take a second to catch up with Ally Leforce on the sideline. Thanks, Kevin. The Knicks are able to play five out and Josh Hart told me they surrounded Jaylen Brunson with guys who can shoot, guys that command attention. He’s able to expose that, scoring the ball and being unselfish. The court is wide open. Back to you, Kevin. Tons of spacing. Alli Leforce with the report. Hey Ally, thanks. Knicks trail by seven. Pass to Yoselle. Back to Brockton. [Applause] The screen fires from the wing again. Broden missing. The Pistons have gone five of seven from the field here in the second. And a fast break now for the Knicks. Here’s Hanobi. And again, it’s the Knicks missing. Detroit leading by seven. [Applause] Ivy on the wing. Defended by Yabush and Stewart gets it to go. Beginning to take charge of this game. This could be a crucial point. Well, working hard, building out a small lead, but you can’t afford any kind of let down here. And so Mike Brown calls a timeout. He’s gonna take this chance to talk to his guys. [Applause] Yeah. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. [Applause] [Applause] A different Look for New York. Carl Anthony Towns comes in through Yabule and it’s Jaylen Brunson in for Brogden Duran. He’s checked in for Detroit. [Applause] Towns against Duran. Stolen by Thompson. and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. That one is on. What I appreciated about Thompson is his recognition. He knows when to force the issue and when to pull back. [Applause] Bad free throw. No good. [Applause] [Applause] That one is no good. Knicks trail by nine. Anobi in the corner. It’s good from long range. Anobi has got his first three points of the game. Don’t lose track of OG Anobi. He’s put in real time to make that jumper legit. Cunningham on the wing. Bunson covering 11 ft away. That one rolling around and rims out. New York’s gotten into trouble with the three ball in the second quarter. Now hitting one of five attempts. Anobi passes to town. Hart outside. Good. And the assist goes to town. Now it’s just a three-point Piston lead. Yeah, Josh Hart starting to show people I can knock down a three-point shot. You better guard me. Duran sets the screen for Ivy. And Duran slams it in. Boy, something so good about a perfectly placed lead pass. That is nice. Pass to Bridges. Anobi kicks to Hart. And the Knicks hit again from deep. You can’t just stop when there’s a pick set up. Got to fight over it as a defender. You know exactly what that takes. It takes energy. It takes activity. It takes intensity. Robinson for three. The three-pointer is right on target. Robinson’s got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three. Pass to Hart. Back to Brunson for the three. Another three for New York. Though there’s a calmness to Jaylen Brunson, there’s also a competitive fire. And boy, from range, look out. Cunningham on the wing shoots over Brunson. And Detroit again with the bucket. Bang bang. Doesn’t get much simpler than that. Knicks trail by four. Towns a screen on Cunningham. The shots good from Brunson. Jaylen Brunson right now. Attacking without hesitation. His foot is on the gas pedal. Thompson outside. Bobbed up there for Thompson. hammers the alleyoop through. I think the rim could be 12 ft off the ground and Thompson could still go get the lock. And here’s Brunson. He’ll bring it up for the New York Knicks outside Towns. The kick out to Anobi. Pocket six. Bridges passes to Brunson and a miss there on the triple. Pistons leading by four. Thompson outside. Robinson sets a screen for Thompson. Cunningham for three. Count that as his seventh field goal. Nine drives. He’s shooting 78%. And you see that one motion shot. Cunningham very consistent from distance. Now here’s Brunson. He’s got 12. Here’s Towns and it’s two. Pass to Cunningham and that’s good. Robinson picking up the assist. Robinson’s got his third assist on the night. Brunson against Cunningham to end the run. Ah, the sweet lefty stroke of Jaylen Brunson. Well, you simply have to stay connected to him. His shooting stroke is that pure. And so the timeout here by JB Bickerst coach is going to take a few minutes to regroup and go over the strategy. [Applause] [Music] [Music] The Knicks making a switch here. Robinson’s checked in. And a switch here also for Detroit. Harris has checked in for Duncan Robinson. [Applause] on the wing. Harris [Applause] pass to Ivy. Now here’s Cunningham. Six on the shot clock. I’m not sure he expected to be that wide open and yet somehow comes away empty. Anobi catch to Brunson. Now Robinson back to Brunson. Robinson a screen on Cunningham. And there’s the call and Carl Anthony Towns. That’ll be his second foul of the game. [Applause] Pistons leading by six. Now here’s Cunningham. 17 points in the game and too much time in the lane. They get called for the 3second violation. [Applause] New York shooting 47% from the floor since the end of the first quarter. [Applause] Bridges kicks to Robinson. Pass to Brunson. There’s the three. Rebounded by the Pistons. During got five rebounds tonight. Harris outside. Cunningham passes to Duran and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up and really the defense fouling there to prevent the layup, but that’s exactly what you need to do. And guys, let’s get your take on the scoring breakdown for Detroit. How about the ball movement so far? I mean, the unselfishness, everyone here just playing for one another. And that can be infectious. And they’ve also shown dominance in the paint so far tonight. really putting the work in down low. [Applause] The first one falls. [Applause] [Applause] So one for two that time with the strike. Knicks trail by seven. Hson with it. Duran picks him up. Brunson kicks to Anobi for three. Bridges and it goes out of bounds. That one off Robinson. [Applause] We’ve got 113 left in the first half of basketball. Thompson sets the pick for Cunningham over Brunson. The kick out to Cunningham and he can’t extend the lead to double digits. Ivy against Bridges. Here’s Brunson at the top of the key. Towns and Anobi finds Towns. It’s stolen by Cunningham. Now Detroit moving it up and Thompson throws it down. And when he lets the athleticism take over, Thompson can do almost anything. Brunson against Cunningham. Towns looking it over to the paint. Here’s Robinson. And it’s Robinson with the jam. Mitchell Robinson so quick off his feet. Good night. Cunningham outside. 8 seconds left and it’s good on the layup. Cunningham’s got the lead up to nine now for the Pistons. Oh, he is red hot right now. Defense has got to lock in. And so is Detroit ahead by nine as the quarter comes to a close. They’re pounding the ball inside and that’s where they’ve gotten their best production tonight. Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be right back. [Music] [Applause] And for those of you just tuning in, thanks for being with us. The second half of this game still to play. You look at Kate Cunningham in this game. He’s been everywhere. It’s something that isn’t his strength, but he’s done a great job of finding the open man. Well, what he did was sustain it throughout the first half. He ran the offense to absolute perfection. [Applause] Pistons leading by nine. Tipping off the second half. Here’s JB Biggerstaff’s five. The wing pair we’ll see going is going to be Ivy and Thompson. Harris steps in at the four with Duran at the center spot and it’s Cunningham in at the point. Now here’s Cunningham. Just four to shoot. They get it back over to Brunson and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. That’s on Jaylen Brunson. Got to respect that. Cunningham takes charge making something happen and drawing the contact. First trip to the line for him here. Yeah. And he wasn’t someone you wanted to foul if you were defending him last season. 85% is what he made from the line. And the first one at the line is good. And it’s easy to see why so many are so high on Cunningham. A talented guard who can do a little bit of everything. [Music] [Applause] Both good from the line that time. Boy, when you watch this guy shoot free throws, you can see very repeatable motion and that is what leads to this kind of consistency. Now, here’s Bridges. No scoring in this one. Up it goes. And the Piston lead is kept down now to just nine in the bucket from Brunson. And the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. You know, we see this all the time. You’re basically as a defender hoping the man misses rather than putting in the work to get over screens. Offensive rebound out to Harris. Cunningham outside from the arc. Here’s Tur missed it even after all those chances. And so it’s Brunson with it. He brings it up for the New York Knicks outside town. Rebounded by the Pistons. During got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. Ivy on the wing. Into the third we go. Two minutes in now. Out to Thompson from deep. The Pistons rebound and During slams it in. That’s what he gives you. A big time presence on the glass. And you know what, Greg? Once he gets his hands on it, he’s not even thinking about kicking it out. No reason to do so there. He was going to leave. No doubt. He’s got free throw attempts number four and five here. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] That free throw no good. and he sinks the second. [Applause] A little under two and a half minutes gone by here in the third. Pass to Harris. Shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. And you like how physical Harris can get inside. Always looking to initiate contact on offense. The Pistons have shot just above 55% of the line, going five of nine. [Applause] Good from Harris. [Applause] And Harris drops them both. Well, we’re into the third quarter. Just over two and a half minutes played. Pass to Town. An Obi outside. Robinson on the wing. Just five on the clock for three. Bridges and the dunk by Robinson. Long arms, tremendous athleticism and pursuit of the basketball. Mitchell Robinson working the glass right now. Cunningham dishes it to Ivy. Pass to Thompson. Here’s Cunningham. Duran with a screen on Brunson. It’s good. Cunningham’s got the lead up to 12 now for Detroit. And with the lead, I like the strategy here. Continue to get the ball to guys who can do something with it. One thing we’ve learned in the NBA, the game is never over. So, you’ve got to continue to score, continue to build your lead. He’ll take his third and fourth free throw shots of the game right here. You know, this is not an area where they expect him to contribute. You know, he’s a guy that shot below 70% last season. [Applause] That one is off. [Applause] [Music] Good on the second free throw. Third quarter action and just under three and a half minutes have gone. [Applause] Cunningham against Brunson. Fires for three. Cunningham’s shot is off. And you know he’s a threat from deep. No doubt about it. but it just has not been there for him tonight. You might want to change your game plan a little bit offensively. Pass to Thompson. And here is Duran. He’s got nine. And a wide open look for Cunningham. Off target from outside. And I thought that was going to drop. It looked good from here. Anobi outside. Robinson a screen on Thompson. Anobi has the open look. Misses the three. Pistons leading by 11. Here’s Harris. Detroit. No good that time either. Oh, the analytics department is smiling after that one. In the corner, it’s Bridges. Brunson outside. Good on the shot. And that shaves the lead to single digits. Brunson’s got 21. What a confident stroke from Jaylen Brunson. This guy doesn’t have to dominate with the ball in his hands. The Pistons working the ball around now. A shot by Thompson and no one’s around. Shots good by Duran. Well, this is what he does. Find ways to make his presence felt then this time on the offensive glass. How about the hustle on display there? That kind of effort will earn respect from everyone. Now, let’s take a minute to talk to Ally Leforce, sports side. Ally, thank you. Keith Cunningham is leading the way for this Pistons team. Coach JB Bickerstaff said he shows belief in his teammates, and that’s what leadership is. He’s with you during the good and the bad. That gives the rest of his team more comfort and confidence. Guys, back to you. Establishing the mindset. Hey, Ally, thank you very much for the report. Oh, and the lead gets bigger on a ridiculous offensive secret. That dunk alone would have been spectacular. Never mind it coming at the end of an alleyoop. Brunson finds Bridges. Towns sets the pick for Bridges. It doesn’t go for him. Pistons leading by 10. Cunningham outside. Pass to Harris. Robinson with the block. This guy’s nose for the basketball and his timing as a shot blocker is intimidating. Mitchell Robinson so quick off his feet looking to get it going. And there’s a nice layup inside by Bridges. Nice job getting inside for the layup. Got the deep thinking jump shot. Gave a little pump fake and then off to the racers. Now here’s Durham. Guarded by Robinson. During the pass to Cunningham and there’s a whistle that goes on MueL Bridges. That’ll be his second foul of the game. And the next one puts him in the bonus. Hard. He’s checked in for OG and Anobi. And Detroit with a change here too. Lever’s checked in. And so the Timeout here by JB Bickers. He’s ready to talk things through with him. Harris passes to Ivy. Shot clock at six. [Applause] Over Brunson. The shot by Ivy. No good. Knicks trail by eight over to the left wing and play stops whistle on what looks to be an illegal screen and not the most common call you’ll see in the NBA but hard to argue that pit wasn’t illegal. It is really difficult to get your feet completely set to stay completely still. It’s almost surprising to me that it isn’t called more often. Now here’s Ivy. Pass to Harris. Get through. Get through. Get through. Shoots over Towns. Robinson pulls it in. Robinson’s got rebound number nine now. What an effort here tonight. Brunson. The pass to Robinson. Brunson against Ivy. There’s a screen by Robinson. Brunson off the dribble. takes the three. Duran pulls it in. Duran’s got rebound number 12 here already in the game and Duran slams it in. Yeah, a nice strong finish on the inside. But Greg, that’s what he does. He’s got the dunker mentality. [Applause] Robinson sets a screen for Brunson and the call on the shot. It sends in to the line. That’s on Jaylen Dur. And this to me is where Mitchell Robinson is comfortable operating because of the length and size. He can put pressure on defenders. Now, let’s take a moment to get your guys take on the scoring so far for the Pistons. They’ve been playing some really physical offense, just attacking the paint as much as possible. And I tell you what, they have been very successful with that strategy. I think another thing that’s striking here tonight, the ball movement is incredible. Again and again, they’re making smart passes to ready shooters. Stewart’s checked in for Duran. [Applause] And he can’t hit the second. And it’s Harris with the ball for Detroit. They’ve held a 12-point lead early. [Applause] Bridges against Levert. Pass to Stewart. And here’s Ivy. No good from outside. Bridges with it. Picked up by Thompson. Now Hart. [Applause] Here’s Towns. That falls. Nice feed that time from Brunson. Brunson’s got his fifth assist in this one. Pistons leading by seven. [Applause] Here’s Ivy. Towns with the steel. Bridges against Bridges misses. And well, Detroit shooting terrible so far in the second half down around 26%. The shots good. Thompson’s got 12 in the game. An explosive player. Thompson has serious leaping ability and that comes in handy around the basket. Bridges deciding where to go with it. Here’s Brunson inside. Five on the clock. Robinson kicks to Brunson over Ivy. And it’s Brunson missing. And well, Detroit shooting 52% from the floor. Nice work so far from there. It’s good. And the Pac lead is cut down now to just seven on the basket from Robinson. Mr. Mitchell Robinson won’t be denied. Go ahead. So far tonight, he’s gone four of six at the line. Brogden, he’s checked in for New York. And then for Detroit, Duncan Robinson comes in for Thompson. And Marcus Sasser subbed in for Ivy. That one misses for Robinson. Detroit leading by seven. Levert with a wideopen look and that’s good. Robinson picking up the assist. Robinson’s got four assists now tonight. [Applause] Pass to Robinson. Now Bridges guarded by Robinson. Back to Robinson. And it’s Robinson with the jam. Well, we know MueL Bridges is a team first guy. Passes on time and on target. Here’s Tasser. Brunson covering. It’s Robinson high post. He’s against Bridges. Avert kicks to Robinson. No good on the triple. Nicks trail by eight. The pass to Robinson. There’s a screen by Robinson. Hart no good. Piss shooting pretty terrible here in the third quarter at the round 30%. Levert the pass to Stewart. Here’s Tasser started by Robinson. Elbow shot. Bridges with the board. If they time it right, they can end this quarter with a two for one. And that’s how you want to end the court. Robinson left side, bounce pass from Bridget for three. Progdton the offensive rebound about 7 seconds separating the shot and game clocks. There’s a screen by Robinson and finished off by Robinson. Yeah, good awareness by Mitchell Robinson. Reads the coverage and capitalizes as a roller. Harris with it. Stewart with the screen on Hart. Harris inside the line again. The miss by the Pistons. And so is Detroit with a six-point lead at the end of the quarter. They’ve played the better game so far, but their work is far from over. And we’ll be back with you shortly. [Applause] And a quick look now at the State Farm assist of the game. And the definition of teamwork right there, guys. I mean, what great communication between them. And what a beautiful feat. Nothing better than chemistry, right? Working together to create a bucket. Three ten quarters behind us. One more to go. Thanks for being with us as we begin the fourth. Malcolm Broken out there at Jordan Clarkson. Then there’s Towns. Then it’s OG Anobia. And it’s Hart in the power forward position. That’s the five for New York right now. The defense must chase Carl Anthony Towns off that three-point line. This guy is such a great jump shooter. And there it is for him. Cunningham’s got 25 points. Wow. He doesn’t make plays like that very often. That’s a nice move inside. Here’s Brogden. No good from 18. Now Levert. To the middle. Here’s Cunningham after Clintman. [Applause] Cunningham looking it over to the paint. fouled on the shot and picks up two points. So, one free throw coming up. Almost an impossible shot to block in the post. The defender can’t give up that much of a height advantage and expect to contest it. One shot. [Applause] and Stewart no good on that one. Knicks trail by seven. Bart picks to Brockton. Towns sets the pick for Brockton. And it’s blocked. Clarkson against Levert. Pass to Cunningham. Lets it go from deep. That’s good. And it’s Levert with the assist. Levert’s got his third assist on the night. Clarkson passes to Towns looking to end the run. He takes it up and lays it in. Towns has got five points in the quarter. Carl Anthony Towns putting on a show on the offensive end of the floor. Legit three-level score and he’s got it all working. Cunningham against Brogden. Rejected by Brockton. Here’s Anobi. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up. OG Anobi is 67 with a big time frame. He’s going to shake off some contact, folks. First one falls for the Pistons making a change here. Duran’s checked in. He hits both from the strike. Here’s Levert. Pass to Stewart. Cunningham on the wing. Oh, he’s going up for the alleyoop here. And the dunk by Stewart. Making the most of the screen. That’s how it’s done. And it’s in the perfect spot. Greg frees him up to get all the way to the bucket. Where was the defense? No fighting through the pick, no rotation. My goodness. Pistons leading by eight. inside and Duran slams it in. He’s going to put that one in his scrapbook. Insane dunk. And now they’re starting to rub it in. Build up a lead. And here we go, baby. It is showtime. And so it’s hard brings up the ball for New York. Towns a screen on Stewart. Fires the three and Towns the bucket on the assist by Hart. And that’s 20 points for Carl Anthony Towns. Cunningham outside pass to Levert. Stewart a screen for Levert and he can’t answer back. The three-pointer offline. New York’s gone two or three in the fourth quarter from long range. Good shooting so far. Now here’s Anobi. Brockton outside. Clock at four. Cunningham with some nice D. Detroit has gone one and two from three-point range here in the fourth. Stewart passes to Cunningham. [Applause] And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. That’s a tough stop from Cunningham inside. Enduring the foul and able to get that one off. [Applause] Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] That’s good from Cunningham. And the Knicks making a change here. Robinson’s checked in. Enzo Cunningham nails both of them. Knicks trail by nine. [Applause] March outside. Outside town. The three-pointer. No good. Pistons have gone five of seven from the field since the beginning of the fourth. Strong work at that end of the floor. Avert kicks to Cunningham again. The miss by the Pistons. I mean, apparently he still has the green light to shoot threes, but he is in an absolute funk right now. Back to Anobi. Clarkson passes to Robinson. Over Robinson. Robinson misses. Oh my goodness, those chippies. You come to regret those. That is a good look and you can’t complete it. To the left wing. Towns against Stewart. Six to shoot and the rejection by Towns. New York trailing. Anobi outside. Pass to Towns. [Applause] Launches it good again. He’s on tonight. Nine for 13 shooting. What a quick release on Towns jumper. That makes it hard to contest. Detroit’s gone one and three from outside the arc since we’ve reached the fourth quarter. And JB Bickerstaff is called a timeout. Clearly, he’s got something his players need to hear. And immediately, [Applause] a different look for New York. Josh Hart. He’s checked in for OG Anobi. Male Bridges comes in for Jordan Clarkson. And it’s Jaylen Brunson in for Malcolm Brockton. Then for the Pistons, Harris has checked in for Stewart. Assar Thompson comes in for Robinson. And Ivy subbed in for Levert. Now we’ll hear from Ally Leforce, and she’s got a story for us, an update. Ally JB Bicker Staff had some words for his team over the break. Coach had a direct message for the team saying, “No matter the lead, no NBA game is ever over. Do not let your guard down. We’ll see if they hold on. Allie, thank you so much. Here’s Harris and he makes the eight-footer. And it does a world of good for them to have Harris getting busy inside. Gives them that inside out edge they’re looking for. Now here’s Hart. Back to Brunson [Applause] over Cunningham. Brunson no good. Detroit leading by eight. Duran with a screen on Brunson. Cunningham finds Duran. Just a fantastic decision maker. Cunningham giving it up in that twoman set. Bridges outside to Brunson. Cunningham with some nice deep and it’s Cunningham with the ball for the Detroit Pistons. [Applause] Ivy on the wing, defended by Bridges. Nice ball movement by Detroit. Cunningham against Prunston. Puts one up from 19. Thompson misses. Knicks trail by 10. [Applause] Now here’s Brunson. Towns wide open. And again, it’s the Knicks missing. And you don’t want to give up that kind of look too often. And During slams it in. Oh, and the lead gets bigger on a ridiculous offensive sequence. That dunk alone would have been spectacular. Never mind it coming at the end of an alleyoop. Now here’s Brunson and all around the rim that time before dropping in. Brunson’s got 23. Listen, this guy’s doing his part. It’s what we know he’s about, but they have got to get some productivity from some other guys on this roster. Here’s Harris back to Cunningham. Stolen by Robinson. And now the fast break and Hart with the ball and then Carl Anthony Towns with the jam. Wow, the size and speed of Towns. A naturalb born highlight reel. Pass to Ivy. [Applause] Back to Cunningham. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Hands on Jaylen Brunson. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] And he knocks down the first point. Anobi. He’s checked in for Hart. [Applause] And so Cunningham nails both of them. Here’s Brunson. And they’re staring at a sizable deficit. And still within reach though that they don’t have to rush things. Anobi kicks to Towns. A three-pointer off the mark. You know what though? Sometimes you can be too open. I think it may have surprised him and that’s why he missed. Harris no good. pressured that shot by getting a hand up just as good as a block. And he did it without fouling. And that’s become an art. Changing shots without making contact. Bridges hands the 12-footer. Sometimes the mid-range is your best opportunity. Bridges more than willing to make that shot work. During with a screen on Brunson down low. Oh, what a finish. Boy, you love the efficiency with which he’s going at things tonight. This is what we’ve come to expect from him. Robinson a screen on Cunningham. Cunningham against Brunson. Outside Bridges jacks up a three. Rebounded by Thompson. Yeah, it’s Thompson with the ball. He’ll bring it up for the Piston. Harris. Down he goes for three. And through hard work, this has become Harris’s bread and butter. A knockdown shooter off the catch. Run a piece of it. Now Cunningham throws it down. What an assist. Some power coming from the PG. Ah, that’s right. GA seeing more and more of that these days. Backcourt guys who can elevate. We know versatility is huge in this game. Just a tremendous job finishing that play. Wow. And again unable to change the momentum here. Pistons leading by 15. Ivy outside. Here’s Durham. Now Thompson Bridges with the steel and this is going to end in a lopsided victory. I I love the tenacity and aggressiveness as well as the ability to close. You really got to give it up here for Detroit. Two great rebounding teams and these guys worked just a little bit harder tonight and that was the edge they needed. The one player that really stands out of course in this one, it was a dazzling game for Cade Cunningham. What a groove for him this evening. Just stand aside and let the man work. [Applause] Shooting two. That free throw good from Thompson. [Applause] Enzo Thompson nails both of them. Knicks trail by 14. [Applause] And here’s Brunson. Well, despite his size, Jaylen Brunson loves to operate in the painted area. two. [Applause] That free throw missing. [Applause] [Applause] and the second free throw. Good. He needed to convert on all of those. Missed opportunities at the line are the last thing they need right now. Duran with the screen on Brunson. Here’s Harris. 44 seconds left to play in the final quarter and it misses on the wing. Bridges Ivy defending. Now, this is what Brunson does so well, right? He keeps defenders off balance and draws that contact. [Applause] Two shots last on the first. That one falls for Brunson. [Applause] [Applause] And both free throws good for Brunson. Now 8 seconds separating the two clocks. Here’s Clintman. Cunningham inside. Bunson covering. Yeah, count it. And you can see why they continue to call Cunningham’s number once he’s flipped that switch. Let him go to work. [Applause] And so it’s the Pistons taking care of business here. This was a very strong showing for him, Greg. Not necessarily a runaway win, but one they’ll feel very good about. And let’s face it, anytime you can go on the road and win in the fashion they did, you have to feel good about it. Really an outstanding effort all the way around. And that’ll do it, folks. For Greg Anthony, Doris Burke, Ally Leforce, and the rest of our terrific 2K crew. This is Kevin Harland. Hope you enjoyed our broadcast. And as we leave you, we give you our player of the game, Cade Cunningham.
